Hrm, is the Savage 110 in .30-06 any good? My Dad has one I've been meaning to shoot, and I'm wondering if I should even bother, but if Savage is good that sounds good as well. Bolt felt pretty smooth when he showed it to me, too.
Get an 8mm remington magnum. The most amazing round nobody has ever heard of. It'll kill anything on the face of the planet, yes even safari game.

Even a 7mm Remington Mag. is more than enough to kill most of the animals on the North American continent.
I've shot a 7mm Remington Magnum a few times before. If you've never shot anything that size before and don't know what to expect from the recoil, it's going to molest your shoulder (talking from experience here lads :v:) Or if you do what Dr.Mortician did with his Mossberg 695 which kinda dislocated his shoulder in the process of shooting it.:v:
Whats with people putting pens in their trigger guards. How does a box of 525rds. Federal Champion .22LR at $22.99 ($0.044ea.) sound to you guys bearing in mind that it's a Canadian price and dealer?
Federal is good stuff. Affordable, accurate, and powerful enough to reliably cycle the gun's action. It's what I use for my AR-15, and used to use with my GSG-5.
Jesus, why would you need something so big
It's not that big. It's just 32 caliber, standard 7.62 nato is 308 caliber. (Your combloc 7.62 guns are .311 caliber, heads up for anyone who reloads, NEVER use 308 bullets in a commie round.) It's the fact that it has a very large 375H&H belted magnum case necked down to a 32 caliber bullet that makes it amazing. Shoot lightweight bullets at the speed of light, or shoot extremely heavy bullets for large game... It's a very do-all round. 7mm remington magnum is fine, but the 8mm just has so much more power behind it and versatility. That said, if you can't roll your own forget 8mm rem mag and get a 7mm rem mag. 7mm rem mag and 300 win mag are pretty much top dogs for hunting medium sized game such as deer, and are suitable for larger game as well when you don't have something bigger around. Then there's always the 300 rem ultra mag (300RUM) which is batshit insane and absolutely amazing for shooting out to 1000 yards+. I'd rather have the 8mm rem mag's big game tackling abilities than burn up all the powder a 300RUM case requires.
cci blazer is better quality, right?
I think I've heard around here that CCI is the best .22LR you can get without ripping your head off and selling it for extra cash to buy ammo with.

The answer to the first question is a combination of the answer to the second and "Why the fuck not?".

All I found was the feet and a bloody crater, it reminded me of the movie Tremors where Val and Earl find the remains of Old Fred.
have you got a video or pics to go with that statement Raptor?
.75 sounds so incredibly powerful, how is it compared to 20mm/.79 in terms of power and recoil?
A 12 gauge slug is usually 72-73 caliber...
.75 sounds so incredibly powerful, how is it compared to 20mm/.79 in terms of power and recoil?
The recoil is about as much as an M1 Carbine, but when that ball hits something it absolutely destroys it. But if you want to see real power, the 25mm one I built is a howitzer. We've shot small trees down in a single shot, cut 2x4s in half. As for the trees that are too thick to down in a single shot, the ball zips right on through. The lead just shears apart on impact and becomes like a knife.
have you got a video or pics to go with that statement Raptor?
Nah. What happened was the little bugger popped up out of the ground a few steps in front of me just as I finished reloading so I took a shot at him instead of my paper target.
cci blazer is better quality, right?
CCI is the best quality but you pay top dollar for it. Federal is the second best, from my experience in firing the ammo. Remington was good but had a few duds in the pack, Winchester Xpert is absolute garbage and should be avoided. CCI is for when failure is not an option (target/competition shooting). [editline]7th February 2011[/editline] That Blazer ammo should work just fine.

Reliable, pleasant to shoot, wide ammo availability. I'd never load it with any .410 short of a slug, and even then I don't think it chambers 3" shells so probably not. .45 ACP is the obvious best choice. Either way, it's probably a better gun than the Judge.

Won't be long now before they're all made offshore and imported

Referring to the Governor, the Judge or something else as a better choice?
