Anyone have any receiver tube plans on ya? I'm attempting to make a simple replica SMG (Sten, M45, ect) and I really cannot find anything that are free.
Would mounting an optic on an SKS be a good idea? I generally don't use glass, but I was thinking about getting some shit off CTD and throwing it on there for the hell of it. It's a shitty Chinese one and I was looking at a Yugo or even some sort of AK to replace it.

Why would you put optics on an SKS?
For some reason, I am in to russian guns. I really want a PKM but guns are illegal to own in Sweden. The sound is just lovely if you listen to the sound on youtube.
Why would you put optics on an SKS?
Why not? I'm not talking about some hubble space telescope or anything. I'm looking for a receiver cover mount. One that won't lose its zero after a single magazine.
I think it would be fun to have glass on that rifle since it's a fun rifle. It's not like I want it for when dubya dubya three breaks out or some shit.
....I'm just wondering whats the most powerful type of .50 ammunition.
I heard about AP rounds and API rounds but there are a lot more types and so far I heard that Raufoss Rounds are the most powerful. High Explosive Incendiary/Armor Piercing (HEIAP) according to Google Wikipedia and Youtube.

Its green/silver tipped one.
Can someone give me some more info on these types of bullets?
Check for cosmo yet?
Surprisingly, very little, the wood bled a little bit after shooting and the stuff that was on there wasn't caked on so I could easily wipe it off. I plan to refinish the stock though, it just looks terrible.
What was the problem with moving the bolt? Was that Mosin's sticky bolt or something else.
What was the problem with moving the bolt? Was that Mosin's sticky bolt or something else.
There's two problems Mosins encounter with the bolt. Mine had both and still has one.
1.The consistently extractor fails to glide over the rim of the catrtridge, getting stuck halfway before going in battery. Makes the gun almost impossible to chamber without hitting the bolt with a 2x4. To fix this you need to replace the entire bolt face and extractor assembly and getting all that headspaced. There's nothing you can do to fix them without replacement parts, I've tried everything.
2.Cosmoline buildup in the bore is making the casing stick to the inside, making it difficult to pull the bolt back out after a cartridge gas been fired. You just need to polish the bore. There are simple instructions on how to do this online.

That is my 7.62x39mm AMD-65/AK47 Hungarian Variant. Also my Glock 19 9x19mm.
The first pic was taken when I wasn't ready to shoot, I had just picked up the gun and the picture was snapped just as I raised it.
I think its funny, because last time I posted a video people were flaming because I was bump firing and being completely inaccurate. Thing is, this time, the target had about 5 head shots out of 30 bullets fire from around 150-200 yards away, which is very good considering the rest were chest/stomach shots.
As stated previously, I wanted to see what the gun felt like when it was fired rapidly.
Now if you notice, my stance is completely different in these pictures and you can probably tell that I was actually trying to hit the target.
I'll be sure to try to get pictures of the targets next time.

You got way to fidgety and quick on the bolt. You need to be firm and smooth with a bolt action, can't just jerk the rifle around with the bolt.
Also, lol at the guy higher up using a knockoff AK and a shitty glock. When are people going to start spending their money wisely.

You are possibly the dumbest person I have ever met.
A knockoff AK? The AMD-65 was designed a long ass time ago, it isn't a shitty knockoff. It is the HUNGARIAN AK47. Do you realize that Blackwater uses this AMD-65 as one of their primary infantry weapons? Do you realize that the Hungarian AMD-65 is better than the AK47?..
Do you realize that the Glock 19 is used by many military and police forces around the world because it is such a reliable, cheap, clean, weapon? Obviously not telling by this post.
PS: It isn't one of those shitty Century Arms knockoffs that you are thinking about.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AMD-65
I understand that maybe you were misinformed about the AMD-65, but saying the Glock 19 is a bad gun is possibly one of the dumbest things I have heard in the firearm's community.
If you have a Genuine Soviet Union AK47 feel free to post pictures of it, I would be really suprised unless you are some person with $20,000 USD to spare on a single gun.

I don't own any assault rifles. I find them pointless. My neighbor has a AK made in a factory in Dzerzhinsk in 1951 he picked up for about $600 if I remember right. He got it documented and it's genuine, you just have to know how to look. Also, with the AK-101 series floating around now there's not a lot of point in the AMD-65 and I highly doubt a blackwater would use one. Then again, they're generally a pretty sad excuse for a military force who think they're part of a 5th crusade or something so I wouldn't be surprised.

You really shouldn't disrespect Blackwater.
The AMD-65 has been exported to the West Bank and Gaza, as well as Afghanistan. An increasing number of western security forces, including contract employees of the former Blackwater Worldwide(now known as "XE") who are serving in the latter two countries, use highly modified AMD-65s rather than conventional 5.56mm based rifles.
The reason you shouldn't disrespect them is because they are always sent in before everyone else, they were sent in first in Afganistan and Iraq. You hear all of this shit about them being insane, mainly because they have seen so much more shit than the Shock Troopers sent in by the US Government.

I have SEEN blackwater. They're mostly ex-military police and are far from disciplined or professional.
IMO they don't deserve a bit of the respect they get from people. I have no idea why everyone is so fascinated by them.
It's because their name is super cool and they are hardcore badasses! :downs:

Here I must respectfully disagree.
Both the AK and Glock aren't the best guns ever made.
But they have a tendency to go bang every time you pull the trigger. And I know, lots of guns do. But I think the seemingly endless reliability is the big selling point of both designs (even with the whole Glock limpwrist issues)
But yeah as for assault rifles being useless that point was something I made a bit earlier.
I figure if you're limited to semi-automatic go for a battle rifle. But then again if it's light enough an intermediate caliber rifle could work as a lightweight partol carbine (Kind of like an M1 Carbine analog). Just don't stick around if you go up against someone with a fire selector on theirs.
Also I'm getting an SKS soon for the simple reason that ammo is cheap.
