tell me, are gun shot wounds sexy?
No, there's one in my right arm around my lower-mid triceps muscle. Hasn't gotten me any chicks. It did hurt like hell and has bothered me however so I don't recommend it.
Just so we are clear here, ITS A FUCKING CHAINSAW. Yeah its not 10K of torque but on slip and no more Mr. Lefty.
Truthfully you'd probably kill someone a lot quicker and be a lot more likely to succeed by stabbing them in the chest with a bayonet. Though having a chainsaw on the end of your gun, unwieldy as it may be, is fucking scary to the guy on the other end.
can't you get those pimp ass Haemmerli/Stutzen target guns real easily in Europe?

I want one of these in .45 ACP

Those awkward guns are nearly all the guns you can get when it comes to firearms. There are some "regular" pistols but import is very limited.
The most common target pistols are those, yes, with the mag in front of the grip instead of built-in.
In Norway they also enforce rules for calibre power, guns per calibre, guns per permit, guns/permits per person, rounds fired each year etc etc.
Those awkward guns
.
Awkward? I always thought pistols like that were meant to be made to fit your hand perfectly for extreme comfort and accuracy. I might be wrong, though. Just seems that something that expensive and that strange looking would be a target pistol and made specifically for your hand.
@OP: Your post is really informative.

They are most likely very ergonomic, yes, but I'm no fan of the look. A lot of them are bolt or pull too.

God damn this is amazing.
Just got a nice rubber butt plate for my Mosin Nagant M44 aswell as 5 stripper clips, a muzzle brake and the scope rail that replaces the back leaf sight.

So you've ruined your surplus gun. Nice.
[editline]10:07AM[/editline]
Wait, WHY put a scope rail on an M44? Buy an M91/30 for that.

or don't waste your money and buy a modern commercial rifle made for that sort of thing, don't settle for mediocrity just because you can buy a 91/30 for $80 and a cheap walmart scope for $50
there's a saying: buy cheap, buy twice

I wouldn't say that when it comes to 91/30's. My uncle has hunted with one for years, the scope that he has on it costs 5x as much as what he paid for the rifle. The rifle itself is perfectly fine. The biggest thing is to make sure you get one with a good bore, as long as the bore is good you're pretty much set for an accurate rifle.

Not to defend them, but I think those guys died when their MD500 crashed.
Damn shame.
The helicopter, not the people. Loves me some MD500.

not so fast there, the barrels aren't free floated
sure you can hunt with one but it's just really goofy to do all that to a 91/30

That can be amended.
It's not worth the effort for all the other reasons that Mosins can't hit much. (Lousy triggers, poor quality ammo, etc.)

All of that can be fixed easily.
Free floating barrel: Remove upper handguard, apply JB Weld to the lower handguard.
Trigger: Get a new, dual stage trigger or get an M39 Nugget.
Poor ammo: Find some match ammo or reload your own.
The butt plate on the M44 is steel the rubber one just slots over the top of it.
The muzzle brake is the one that the issued out, it just slots over the top of the front sight.
The sight rail just replaces the leaf sight, if dosn't damage the gun in anyway. And i plan on using a small pistol scope (eye releif) so i can find the center of the target at 150meters.
Pics please, senior Muffin.
This is it now:
And I can't give you a pic with all this shit because adding the scope mount counts as modifiing the gun in South Australia so its at the shop.
Oh wow... you're laws really do suck.
Other than that, beautiful rifle. Seems to be very clean as well. Do you buy modern ammo or do you shoot milsurp out of it? And how many times do you take it to the range?
I've always wondered, is it legal to take your rifle (assuming you acquired it though the necessary legal channels) and go to the outback and shoot stuff?

I use hand loaded ammo because getting it into the country cost more then the ammo it's self, and i take it to the range maybe 3 times a month at the most. only shoot at the most 40 rounds per range visit. It's got the smothest bore and the woodwork is very nice, all serials are matching too.
And yes we can take it outback and shoot it, no permit required unless you want to hunt.

I found this strange seeing that my last name is Senior.
I just noticed I spelled senor (goddamn tilde...) wrong.
But that sucks...
Get to go to the range next weekend to fire this baby.

Ruger P90. Basically a P89 upped to .45 ACP and uses much of the interior design of the 1911. Uses an 8 round single-stack box magazine with an ambidextrous magazine release and ambidextrous safety on some models. Heavy-duty gun at a whopping 2.11 lbs (0.95 kg) and I even got some reload sounds off of it a few months back :D
What do you guys think of Lee reloaders? our one is total shit, the primer feeder dosn't work, the plate that you put the shells onto dosn't rotate properly... should we go for another brand?
