Meh. MP-18 never really did it for me.
That's a Lanchester...
Here's a question for you, is it illegal for a person under 21 to own a handgun in Texas? Like if his grandfather gives it to him.
You should be fine.
I heard the law is 21 for handguns, 18 for rifles. I'm not sure if that applies to BUYING weapons or if somebody gives it as a gift.
What kind of 20 Bore loads have you been firing that has more recoil then a 12?
20 will have more than a 12 if you use nitro loads.
What kind of rounds are blue-tipped ones? I feel dumb for asking but my stepdad has some and I don't know what they are compared to regular rounds.
SS197, hornady V-Max 40gr bullets. They're pretty shitty for the 5.7 but what ever, they're the easiest to find. SS195 is a little better, and after market ammo is where it's at. I'll say this though, I've put a lot of SS197 through my five seven and it's ridiculously accurate at any range.
Here's a question for you, is it illegal for a person under 21 to own a handgun in Texas? Like if his grandfather gives it to him.
An 18+ year old can possess a handgun in Texas as long they get it in a private sale and meet all the legal requirements. 21+ for handguns from a FFL dealer. Just Google 18 year old handgun texas or something like that. Also look up the gun statutes and you'll see what I mean. It's perfectly legal as long as it's a private sale.
Damn, what I need is info on the private manufacture of guns. Specifically I have a sub machine gun of my own design that I would love to build but can't be bothered to make a semi-automatic trigger group for it. Sadly the days of Hiram Maxim and John Browning are long gone I think.
No, you can't manufacture a machine gun unless you have that one license that allows you to build them for military/LE officers. If this wasn't the case, everyone would be running around with machine guns built up from surplus parts kits...
20 will have more than a 12 if you use nitro loads.
Nitro? sounds interesting.
That's a Lanchester...
They look almost the same, save for the sight...
Went to a gun show, this guy had a C-96 with Chinese markings. If it was one of those Chinese .45ACP copies then I regret not stealing it.

So I'm thinking of getting a Marlin 1894, thoughts?
So I'm thinking of getting a Marlin 1894, thoughts?
Pretty good as far as lever guns go, but I believe they're kinda hard to find.
Sighted in my MSAR yesterday the range. That's the 1st time in my lifetime I've ever been grouping at 100-125 yards. My aimpoint has a 4moa dot and I was sticking every shot inside of 3 inches at 100 yards. That means I was putting all my rounds into a smaller area than my dot was covering. That gun is just amazing...
The cowboy, or the guide gun?? The guide gun is short and handy, but the cowboy holds more ammo. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=165659340(guide gun) http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=165225690 (cowboy).
Guide gun no doubt, those things kick ass.

What do you mean, how does it feel? You get what you pay for, that's all I really know to tell you.
What do you mean, how does it feel? You get what you pay for, that's all I really know to tell you.
Well, how does it handle? How heavy is it? What's the trigger/kick like?
Well, how does it handle? How heavy is it? What's the trigger/kick like?
maybe you should just go to a gun store and see for yourself? in the meantime, tell me how new york style cheesecake tastes
Well, how does it handle? How heavy is it? What's the trigger/kick like?
And is it comfortable.
So about mid-may theres going to be a fucking NRA convention in Charlotte, about a 30 minute drive from my house, I am super fucking excited.
maybe you should just go to a gun store and see for yourself? in the meantime, tell me how new york style cheesecake tastes
Australian, and taste your own fucking cake.
Well, how does it handle? How heavy is it? What's the trigger/kick like?
It handles like a bullpup, it's pretty heavy but since it's a bullpup all the weight is on your shoulder instead of on the front end, and the trigger is amazing for a bullpup. The trigger pull isn't like some match grade AR15 trigger, but it's better than most things. Recoil... Well it's a 5.56, what do you expect? (In other words, hardly any.)
If any of you actually own guns you should check out http://appleseedinfo.org/ Its a rifle marksmanship program, and its pretty awesome. I learned a shit ton of stuff about rifle shooting

I learned a shit ton of stuff about rifle shooting
Rifle shooting is pretty simple compared to handguns. 1.) Have good optics, fuck iron sights, nobody is kidding anyone if they think irons are a better means of getting the job done. A $50-$150 walmart or lowend brand optic will be worse than iron sights, don't waste your money. If you're going to spend money on optics, actually buy something decent or don't bother at all. 2.) Have good eyes, glasses can fuck up your vision when using optics. 3.) Be able to control your breathing and feel your heart beat. It's critical that you are able to fire between heart beats and between breaths. 4.) Know your gun and your round, how well does it buck wind? How far does it go before it's necessary to compensate? Will it have enough shit behind it to accomplish the job once it's there?
