This, it's sealant. I recently bought a case of 7.62x54mmR and they have the same thing.
Hey, where can i get a decent amount of 7.62x39 ammo without having to spend all of my food money?
Hey, where can i get a decent amount of 7.62x39 ammo without having to spend all of my food money?
The cheapest you'll get is surplus, with Russian (Wolf, Brown Bear) coming second. Any one know a good hunting rifle for around 700 USD?
Any one know a good hunting rifle for around 700 USD?
Well, an Remington 770 or 700, chambered in 30-06 or 7mm Rem Mag is pretty good. Or a Mossberg 464 or a Marlin 336. 30/30 is a good round for hunting stuff. And all of these rifles are under $700.
Any one know a good hunting rifle for around 700 USD?
That's so goddamn vague.
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=166324611
cetmes are for chumps
Yeah, get a PTR-91.
cetmes are for chumps
Dun care, I'm not the one buying it. But for the record, good luck finding a PTR-91 anywhere below $1000. Zombiefreak, get a FAL clone instead. You can probably nab a better quality rifle than a CETME for cheaper, and there's plenty of shit on the market you can chuck on a FAL.
But FAL's are bastard hard to find. I think I'd take my chances and spend the extra bit of money on one of those Springfield Armory M1a's thankyouverymuch.
The only FALs I've seen have like 16 inch barrels with big-ass flash hiders, and I think for .308 you really need at least 18 inches.
I have a box of unused Fal mags in my shed from when the Irish Army used the Fal. (Some are still in brown parcels) On a side note, there are two common types of Fal's the standard Fusil Automatique Léger 7.62mm developed by Fabrique Nationale in Belgium, it was fully automatic and a beauty to fire. The other is the British L1A1 SLR which had a longer barrel, no automatic fire, different magazines and was top heavy, it was not great despite what the Brits say, it was a cheap knock-off.
That looks like the spy's revolver! (i'm assuming that's what it's based off?)
Are you blind or something I honestly don't see how you could think it looks like it at all aside from them both being revolvers, and that's about it. The Spy's revolver is based off of the Colt Python, and so is the .357 in the half life series.
Thinkin' about getting a Saiga 12 soon. Yay, magazine-fed semi-auto, 12-round-mag shotguns! Besides the pistol grip/M4 buttstock mod and a Bolt Hold Open, is there anything else I should mod it with?

Love Saiga's although if you ask me an M4 buttstock is not a good idea, stick with the stock it was designed for. It will be more comfortable and safer, I ended up getting a massive bruise on my shoulder from an AKM fold stock that i put on my pump action.
STOP, ANTI-GUN PEOPLE READY TO PUT THIS THREAD TO THE TEST SHOULD READ THIS FIRST http://gunfacts.info/pdfs/gun-facts/5.1/gun-facts-5.1-screen.pdf It's also a good read for you pro-gun people. Hello everyone, this is the biggest firearm thread is currently avalible. Try to keep this thread away from the political bullshit. WHAT IS A FIREARM? A firearm is a device that shoots projectiles at a high velocity with a controlled explosion. Gun may be a commonly used term, but gun is a generalization of cannons, artillery pieces, and autocannons. WHAT IS A FIREARM USED FOR? Firearms are used for three main things: 1. Killing 2. Hunting 3. Sporting (Not in order of usage) HOW DOES A FIREARM WORK? Well, there are many different ways firearms work. Have three main things, the action, the cartridge, MOST modern firearms use a cartridge which contains the propellant, a bullet, and the primer. The propellant is usually gunpowder, made up of sulfur, charcoal, and potassium nitrate. The primer, or percussion cap is a small cylinder of copper or brass with one closed end. Inside the closed end is a small amount of a shock-sensitive explosive material such as fulminate of mercury. The percussion cap is placed over a hollow metal "nipple" at the rear end of the gun barrel. Pulling the trigger releases a hammer which strikes the percussion cap and ignites the explosive primer. The flame travels through the hollow nipple to ignite the main powder charge. The bullet is the actual projectile itself, usually made out of lead, with a gilding metal jacket. Also part of the gun is the action. The action is how the gun loads the cartridge into the chamber, and repeats. In firearms terminology, an action is the physical mechanism that manipulates cartridges and/or seals the breech. The term is also used to describe the method in which cartridges are loaded, locked, and extracted from the mechanism. Actions are generally categorized by the type of mechanism used. A firearm action is technically not present on muzzleloaders as all loading is done by hand. The mechanism that fires a muzzle-loader is called the lock. There are two types of actions, automatic and manual The parts of a rifle are this: The stock The receiver The barrel I assume most of you know what the stock and the barrel is, so I will only explain the receiver. Pretty much the receiver is where the the action happens. It is where the cartridge casing is ejected, where the bullet is fired, and where the cartridge is loaded into the chamber. To go into further detail, read this:In firearms terminology, the receiver is the part of a firearm that houses the operating parts. It is sometimes called the body of the firearm, and especially in the context of handguns (revolvers and pistols) it is often called the frame. It is often made of forged or stamped steel or aluminum; in addition to these traditional materials, modern materials science and materials engineering have introduced polymers and sintered metal powders to receiver construction. With MOST pistols, remove the part about the stock. Clip, magazine, what's the difference? Well, pretty much a magazine stores bullets, and the clip holds bullets to go into the magazine (with the exception of the en bloc). To go into further detail, read here:One of the most misused terms in firearms is "Clip". Depending on how you look at it, it is either amusing or pitiful that writers who consider themselves experts or authorities don't know the difference between a magazine and a Clip. I have heard the term "Battle Rifle" and "Assault Rifle". What's the difference? Well, pretty much a the difference is a bigger caliber. The battle rifle is a select-fire rifle that uses a high powered round like the .30-06 or the .308. The assault rifle, on the other hand, uses an intermediate round like the 5.56x45mm NATO or the 7.62x39mm AK round. Of course, the quote: Will update with more fresh content when I think of some. I will be checking the comments daily for more suggestions on how to make the OP better. How are Calibers measured? Well first off America uses inches to measure their calibers while Europe uses the scientific metric system. Okay so the caliber measured by the length of the bullet and diameter of the base. For example, a 9mm Parabellum bullet would be written as 9x19mm. 9 meaning the diameter base, and the 19 meaning the length of the bullet.
