Or if you wanna be a Comrade.
Get a 91/30 then.
My friend has a Tula 91/30 made in 38' I want to take that thing to the range badly. I love it, very cheap and simple to clean.
I was wondering, can bomb disposal suits deflect bullets? I know what you're thinking, 'look it's some MW2 faggot'. It's not like that. I was looking at this diagram: And all the armor can deflect things traveling at 560 m/s minimum. I know that 9 mm travels at around 340 m/s, and 5.56 travel at around 920 m/s. The chest plate can deflect assault rifle bullets, and the full suit can deflect any pistol shots. Since it's a bomb disposal suit, the inside is also lined with foam to absorb the shockwave of the bomb. Since you're fighting bullets, you could replace that foam with more kevlar material, and perhaps make this completely bulletproof to conventional weapons. Thoughts on the matter?
Are you blind or something I honestly don't see how you could think it looks like it at all aside from them both being revolvers, and that's about it. The Spy's revolver is based off of the Colt Python, and so is the .357 in the half life series.
yeah, that is a good likeness, must of been the white handle that threw me off
Too expensive and heavy and immobile to be practical.
That's not the point he is trying to ger across.

Pretty cool.
I'm working on getting a decent Karabiner 98 Kurz. I'm hoping to get lucky and find a 35-45 German production model, but a Yugo mauser wouldn't be horrible either. Any tips?

I doubt the bullet would penetrate the suit, but the energy wouldn't be distributed in the same way so you could end up with some broken bones.
Anyone happen to know where a can get a decently cheap M1 Garand parts kit? I've got a good deal on a receiver, just need the parts. Working on a birthday present for my dad, has he used to love to shoot when he was younger, but his current state of having no hands prevents that, so I've been coming up with a few ideas in my head to help him shoot easier, and the M1 Garand is his favorite rifle ever, so I'm planning on building one (not buying a really nice one, as I'll be modifying the shit out of it) and fixing it up for him to shoot.

Holy shit, when I opened this thread America fuck yea played.

Better than 1911s even. My P220 was at exactly that price (but was a better deal in the end) and was pretty much that exact condition (even had the Trijicon sights and Hogue grips), and it's completely 100% good to go. I highly recommend getting one of these considering that CPO/used police Sigs go fast.
Hopefully trading my Hi-Point c9 in for a Mossberg 835. You guys think its a good deal. I like the Hi-Point a lot but I mostly used it for plinking. Now I have a tok for that. Also never owned a shotgun before so the 835 will destroy my shoulder the first few times I go to the range haha.

They sell M1 Garands and M1 Garand parts at a good price. You just got to make sure you fit the requirements.

Maybe you have access to a fully stocked machine shop, though, and have experience in the subject, I don't know, just making assumptions. I have heard of people building M-14s from stripped receivers before, and I'm sure people build Garands too, but it's not really the sort of build you can just jump into like you can for an AR15. It's like comparing a Lego set to a model airplane. You can get one of those cheaper Korean-imported Garands or lower-end CMP Garands for like what, $500? That'd end up being much cheaper assuming you don't have the correct tools for an M1 build (even something as mundane as an AK47 can cost $200 in special tools and jigs alone). I'm curious as to what sort of modifications you'd make to make it more handicap-accessible. USGI parts and stocks certainly seem plentiful, so you have lots of spare parts to work with.

Just thought you guys would like these. I found them, I did not make anything.
