Beautiful....
I have yet to find a revolver that accepts silencer EXCEPT for the Mosin 1895. Awesome gun.
Generally revolvers can't effectively use a suppressor because of the gap between the chamber and the barrel. The Nagant M1895 can use one because when the trigger is being pulled, it pushes the chamber towards the barrel. The design of the round also is meant to create a gas seal.
EDIT: O wait, beaten to it :frown:
It's from 1940 and went through WW2 and the Norwegian Heimevernet (Civil Defense), so the stock is tattered and worn. :v:
And that is why it's beautiful!

Do want.
OKAY guys what's a good AK brand to buy?
Me and my dad are gonna buy an AK soon.
WASRs are bottom barrel AKs, some people hate them and others swear by them. Look out for canted front sights.
Yugoslavian models are a step up but they (at least the older models, don't know about newer ones) don't have chrome-lined barrels and don't accept some standard AK parts like stocks etc.
Arsenal are generally considered good however there has been some recent controversy over the quality of their guns' finish and furniture, mainly due to a Youtube video showing an Arsenal AK's finish bubbling and coming off, and its front handguard melting. Keep in mind though that the guy who did this burned through a full combat load of ammo within the space of something like 10 minutes, this isn't good for any gun, Arsenal or otherwise. You could also convert a Saiga to a regular AK.
Then there's the more expensive models like those made by Lancaster Arms etc.
Some say that you don't need anything better then a WASR, others say spend ~$1000 on a top tier model. The choice is yours.
How the hell can you have a bad AK, last I checked that is one of the best guns for reliability.
How the hell can you have a bad AK, last I checked that is one of the best guns for reliability.
A gun is only as good as the quality of it's manufacture.
Your dad should have gotten a HK Mark 23. Best gun I've ever owned. My only real gripe is that to fire it rapidly, you have to use a high-end method of gripping it, and sometimes the slide will pinch my skin if I don't hold it perfectly.

That's a Nexus II silencer. You can get them in different finishes, too.
I like that gun also, but this one is awesome.I like having the skinnier slide, and the feel of it :P
My dad also has a cusomized rifle style mac 10 in .45, and a kimber tactical pro
I picked out the witness. We are getting a saiga 12 soon, I think

Looks a lot more OD in real life.
How the hell can you have a bad AK, last I checked that is one of the best guns for reliability.
Quality of materials, if it's poor quality it will not shoot as great/last as long as others through use and the risk of it exploding in your face will go up over time through continuous use.
[editline]02:34PM[/editline]
What gun is that? It looks like a USP/L85 mashup :ohdear:
It's a Keltec Sub 2000.
[editline]02:34PM[/editline]
What caliber is it? 9mm or .40 S&W?
What's you guys opinion on Saiga rifles (not shotguns)?
Some of the best AK's you can buy, just make sure they're converted to military configuration or you convert them.
I just got ahold of some incendiary/tracer .308's. I can't tell which. They have bright, orange tips, and the aft end is marked with 'WCC 61'.
A little help identifying them would be appreciated.
[editline]09:37PM[/editline]
Oh, some of the others say 'RA 60' on the same spot instead of WCC 61.
Those are tracers bro, dad got some of those. Never fired them though.
But dad did fire some at new years eve, but those were in 6.5x55 I think.
It's fun, but it's not a lot of variation, I have the dream of owning my own semi-automatic, currently we just use Sauer 200 STR. (.22 because it's cheap, but it can use 6,5 x 55 mm and 7,62 x 51 mm NATO)
Whatever dipshits created the gun laws here in Norway are fucking dense.
Guns that LOOK like assault/combat rifles are banned.
Pistol grips are banned.
Shotguns holding more than five shells are banned.
Barrel lenghts are regulated.
There are however some clubs that can just walz right over all these rules, "Practical shooters". First thing I'll do when I'm old enough is to join in on those. :v:
Do note that you can't buy full auto or burst firing weapons as a Practical Shooter either. However, you can buy badass semi-autos.
You can also buy magtube extensions for shotguns that have the ability for that. It's not 100% legal for hunting, but it's legal for shooting clay pidgeons if I recall correctly.
Could everybody post the fastest firing gun they know, (muzzle velocity)
Because after learning about the Steyr IWS 2000,

Which apparently fires at 1450 mps I was intruiged to find out which gun fires the fastest.
I don't remember the gun, but I got some tables on how to load a caliber .17 remington rifle to go at around 1715 I think it was
I also got accepted into gunsmith school yesterday :slick:
Those are tracers bro, dad got some of those. Never fired them though.
Yeah, most ranges won't let you, at least where I live, just got rid of a bunch of 30-.06 tracers because there was no where to shoot them, range officers say they have a nasty habit of lighting things on fire lol.
I also got invited over to shoot a friends Luger.
I also got invited over to shoot a friends Luger.
Make sure to use the magazine tool man.
It's impossible to load the magazine otherwise.
It's from 1940 and went through WW2 and the Norwegian Heimevernet (Civil Defense), so the stock is tattered and worn. :v:
How did you get it after being owned by HV? I know they got loads of them as they were replaced by Semi AG3 rifles by the HVU in 1995. Most of them are heavily worn down after decades of use. :frown:

The FLY means it was issued to the Air defence. If it's made in norway, it's a "bergkarabiner" (for being made by Kongsberg Våpenfabrikk).
Dad and I don't want any 98k's or any bolt action.
And thanks guys, but my dad says that he read the saiga's are bad.
So we will keep looking.

So you're gonna ignore everything you were told just because your dad read something bad about some Saigas. Good luck finding the right gun.

Thats what he read off the internet.
But if we were to buy one where can we get modifications to look like a regular AK?
The CZ is ugly as hell.
I don't get it, it looks like a shitty version of the ppk.
The CZ is ugly as hell.
I disagree. Now, i'm not saying it's the sexiest gun around, but it's pretty good looking.
Thats what he read off the internet.

Yeah. It's called a new handguard.
So what are the different models of Mosin and ways to differentiate them, and what's "better" than the others? My father told me he went to a gun shop he frequents and they had quite a few Mosins for around $200 or less or something to that effect, and I want to know how to tell if it's worth it at all. I'm leaning towards yes, but I want to know we aren't about to be cheated or something.
