walmart actually has really cheap guns.
The Walmart's in my area seemed to have stopped selling firearms. But the decent brand ammo is mind bogglingly cheap. I go nowhere else for my 7mm ammo. None of the other local shops can raise a finger to their prices.
Hey FP, I know I've never posted in the firearms thread before, but I figure the posters here would be the best to ask the opinion of something gun-related on.
Friend of mine's just bought a Ciappa 1911-22 pistol, a .22 designed in the 1911 style. I was just wondering, anyone have any problems with this gun, and was it worth the $399 CAD he paid for the gun, 2 mags, and case?
Seems decent enough.
For that price and judging from the pictures, he got a very good (albeit a bit expensive) .22 pistol. It should have a very nice trigger.
Good buy.
Also whats that guns on the top called. Its beautiful.

Beretta Silver Pigeon of some description, Yes it is.

Don't go to a pawn shop, they suck in terms of prices. Get something off of gunbroker, the CMP, auctionarms, or wallmart.
Meh depends on the shop.
Some pawn shops if you know what you are doing you can get a really good deal, cause most of the time they don't know shit about guns and they might have a great gun for cheap since they don't know a lot about it
[editline]03:41PM[/editline]
Can't wait to go to the pawn shop and buy me a gun, without telling my folks.
yeah don't do that unless you want to get the shit beaten out of you buy your dad and then shot with your own gun

I don't have any personal experience with them, but I've heard a lot of good things about them, saying they are pretty much the standard for quality in a .22 1911...GSG (the guys who made the .22 MP-5 clone) just started to make one, too....

$900!?
http://www.czechpoint-usa.com/products/vz-58-rifles/sa-vz-58-military/
For the heck of it, I've ordered a calender from www.tacgirls.com to hang up on school.
Also, my PC screen and Krag ammo have finally been shipped and mom said she would send the Krag tomorrow perhaps. I hope I get before the 17th because that's the day we're going to the range with the whole class.
I have also signed up for the HVU (Heimevernets Ungdom) aka Home Guards Youth wich seems quite interesting as it has offers several courses, trips and you even get paid for some of the activities. AND YOU GET A FREE PAIR OF BOOTS!
And they also travel to Minnesota once a year and train/socialize with the US Army apparently.

You get paid for the national/inter-regional activities, you get the whole uniform free of charge. With the uniform follows 85% price lower on trains, 50% on buses and insurance. Also a beret.
You can be selected to take part in the USNGY exchange with Minnesota if you show leadership and effort.
But the people you are going to meet take pride in what they do, even though it's a pretty simple hobby.
If you show up with anything but civilian clothing(until you are given the uniform, that is), you're not going to get a lot of respect.
If you decide to stay in HVU, you'll probably meet me sooner or later. I'll be in HV-5 by then.
Do not show off your enthusiasm for guns.
Don't show up in anything army-like that you didn't get from the depot.
And start training.
Sure. You can brag about guns, show up in a wannabe army OPERATOR suit and not train at all, but if you do, you wont be enjoying the company of the other members.

Already started training and all I have are plain clothes, I didn't bring any of my Red Cross gear up since I figured I wouldn't need them.

Wise choice.
I keep hearing stuff about an airsofter in our area.

I'm not so sure if I wanna meet him.
Kill it with fire, damnit
Kill it with fire, damnit
Preferably something to wipe the grid square he resides on out of existence.
Went to the gun show. Major eye-catchers were a C-96 for $2k (I assume way too much, condition didn't look great, but I didn't pick it up and check over everything), automatic BAR for $50k, and automatic 1928 Thompson in FBI box with 3 stick mags, a drum mag, and both the regular handguard and a forward grip for $38k.
They also had some weird rifle i've never seen, that looked like a hybrid of a M-16A1 and a Galil with a thumbhole stock.
Here in Switzerland, they sold a C-96 (Not german, mind you) for around 600 CHF. Roughly, yes, 600 dollars. It was disabled.
Dad finally sent the Krag today.
And I got my ammunition and pc screen today.
Delicious 6.5x55 ammo:
Do you guys have something against airsoft or am I missing something?
Not really airsoft. Just the faggots who play it in general.
The fags who dress up like they just finished playing cowaa dooty on xbox live and got their MAGPUL MASADA ACR with HEARTBEAT SENSOR and ACOG SCOPE and act like fucking retards rolling around on their mums lawn wearing their OPERATOR tactical(/impractical) desert camo vest

That looks brilliant, shame In Ireland we can't order jackshit in the way of firearms or ammunition, heck we wouldn't even get a license for that.

As you can see I prefer to stick with the old guns.
Also, i have a shit load of videos http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=ldave91
On the 21st I'm expecting to have over $1000, what guns are sexy in that price range (Preferably Semi Auto and C&R/Cali Legal)?
I'm thinkin' STG-556, SVT, bubba'd G43, or a Suomi M31.
If you bubba a G43, we'll kill you.
If you bubba a G43, we'll kill you.
I mean I can buy a g43 that is bubba'd for $780.
I don't think you can find a G43 really, Ive seen like 2 in 4 years of going to gunshows.
Last time I checked, they were $2000 apiece...
