Buy the G43 and work on it to be back in original format.
Buy the G43 and work on it to be back in original format.
This, get it and de-bubba it.
Buy the G43 and work on it to be back in original format.
That's what I was intending. [editline]09:38PM[/editline] Just updated the OP with modern technology for smokeless powder :v:
Going to go do some desert shooting for the 2nd time in my life today. It feels so much more awesome driving myself an hour away to shoot at a place where there aren't any rules but the law's and my own. Any of you been shooting outside of a professional shooting range?
Any of you been shooting outside of a professional shooting range?
I spend more time out in the desert than on a range. It's a 10 mile drive on dirt roads to a safe shooting spot from my house, while it's a 40 mile drive through traffic to a range where you're only allowed to shoot paper targets. I don't mind going to a range when I can though, it's fun to show off with my musket, they really turn some heads. Won't be long before I finish making my big one with the 25mm bore too.

I haven't been to a range in years, I just go out into the woods usually. a lot of people plink in my neighborhood too so I occasionally do that in my back yard. [editline]01:13AM[/editline] I might build myself a plinking gun in .22 short or something. I figure shit's quieter.
Went to the range with my class yesterday, got to shoot my teachers .44 Magnum (Ruger Blackhawk) and his H&K P7 in .22LR I also shot a semi-auto .22 with a tubemagazine (didn't catch the name of it), my own Norwegian 1940 Krag and rebuilt Mauserlike rifle that a guy in my class has recently bought (strangely it went better with my slower loaded Krag ammo) Goddamn I want a .44 Magnum handgun now.

An awesome one.
Why can't I go on field trips like that?
What kind of class is this?
Gunsmith stuff.
:siren: WEEABOOS WITH IMPRACTICAL, SEXY-LOOKING HANDGUNS :siren:
That makes me nervous.
So I bought a last ditch Japanese Type 99 at a gun show the other day for $175. It's totally awesome, has an intact mum and everything, as well as a near perfect bore.
What kind of class is this?
As CAPSMAN! said, Gunsmith class. I'm starting to long after "an overpriced impractical useless nailgun" now. aka the Desert Eagle. I'm thinking about getting one in .44 Magnum as .50 AE is pretty uncommon, too large to be usefull and simply a bitch. They are legal in Norway, but they just cost so damn much to get around here. Around 2800$ USD will they cost around here, so I guess I better start saving up for one :p

Like, the kind of shit that aspires to be a Century Arms FAL shit...

I know considering my brother owns both a .44 and .50AE version and I've fired both numerous times. They are only moderately accurate and they spit the casings back into your face. For $2800 you could get something much better.
My buddy sold his .50AE DE for $800. I agree, for $2800 you could get a nice M1A Socom II, and still have a few hundred dollars for ammo and optics.
I remember while on holidays in america I seen one for 500 dollars in cabellas, this was in 2001 though, quite a while ago.
I remember while on holidays in america I seen one for 500 dollars in cabellas, this was in 2001 though, quite a while ago.
The days of the $500 Desert Eagle are long gone my friend, especially with everyone freaking out because Obama got elected albeit he being elected only put gun sales through the roof.
I demand pictures.
I'll get them next time I'm at the house. Can't keep guns at the dorms :(
Gunsmithing as a course sounds pretty badass. Either way, it's like a regular education so I don't have to pay for taking the education. But I would say it's kinda like a college course. Oh and yeah, the class is pretty badass. My teacher made his own .50BMG rifle a while ago:

What would you hunt with a 50.bmg rifle?
