Sigs are great guns if you want to keep a round in the chamber. I have a P229R which sits in my nightstand with a round chambered and the hammer down. Fantastic gun for that.
Glock however are not. Years upon years of listening to cops hate on glocks because they are unsafe pieces of shit has long since taught me to avoid them like the plague. The issue falls on both sides of the blue line. Criminals regularly wind up shooting themselves just as cops do.
And no. 1911's are to be carried in condition 1. Condition 1 has all four safeties activated and preventing a negligent discharge. Not only does the thumb safety physically block the the hammer from falling, but the grip safety both blocks the trigger from being pulled as well as the firing pin from touching the cartridge.
Unlike the glock which just needs a trigger pull at any time to leave a lovely hole in your leg.
This is where you lose a lot of your credibility.
Don't fall for the (bad)hype.
There is a reason there are a larger number of "bad" glock stories out there. Know why? There are lots of glocks out there. Having more guns, increasing the possibility for mishandling and usage, therefore more stories about said gun.
Like the other guy said glocks are perfectly reliable and on par with many other top tier handguns.
And on the topic of glocks I really want a glock 22.

GunFox, you are an amazing armchair commando. You have no experience to form your own opinion, so you repeat the tired old stores you've read off the internet.
I've never had a single problem with my Glock, and I'd have no problem carrying it with a round in the chamber. It's called being safe, and taking the proper procedures before you carry.
eww, carry handle
Yeah, that's how they used to look, before it had more rails on it than a train track.
a flat top is fine. but i don't see the point of people having RIS for a single attachment
No, they aren't made anymore.
I mean second hand from a gunshow.

Amen brother, if you're not a operator keep your mouth shut when the experienced people are talking.
Having a bunch of safe queens doesn't mean you know the first thing about anything.
Friend has 2 glocks and I have 1, my grandfather also has one. All of them are different models/sizes.
I've fired them all quite a bit and never had a single issue with any of them, neither has my friend or my grandfather.
The only way you'll have a problem with a glock is if you buy any of the 9mm models and limp wrist them. The larger calibers don't have that problem, but they do bite pretty hard with a hot loaded 40S&W, so I prefer the 45cal glocks, even more comfortable to shoot than the 9mm for me. 45gap gives me a 45cal glock with a smaller profile grip and doesn't make me give up anything performance wise for it, which is why I think the platform is brilliant even if it never catches on.

I like flattops with a removable carry handle.
Carry handles aren't bad though, they're pretty cool with an ACOG actually, because the hole in the bottom of the acog lets you use the iron sights.
I'm really excited to pick up my first .45 next week. I've bee dying for one for quite a while.
Got out my Thompson and messed (didn't shoot) with it a few minutes ago for the first time all year.
I really need to start shooting more.

What are ya getting?
20 bucks it's a 1911.
Hopefully a beautiful one.
GunFox, where the fuck are you getting your info from? Glocks are perfectly fine. The only way they're going off is if the trigger is pulled. If someone shoots themselves in the foot while trying to holster the gun, etc. then they failed to keep their finger off the trigger.

Citadel 1911.

Basically a nicer Rock Island. (Made by the same company.)
Kimbers are the 1911 master race.
What's the best spray on finish?

Kimbers are good mid range 1911's, but when it comes to the higher end, they're really nothing tbh.

Finally got around to shooting the Mosin Nagant. It gave me a bruise. I am surprised.
Do want!
...You actually want a stupidly oversized pistol? Why not take the one adjacent to it in the same picture. They're both practically the same.

I suppose it's big and clunky but then again people in the civilian market want those sort of guns, its a fun factor.
