My new toy. edit: this is a really good photo for a phone camera.
Oh you mother fucker. [editline]06:01PM[/editline]
they come complete with a stock that doubles as a case
It's a holster, not a case.
I got it for a really good price too, it was about 500 bucks.
I got it for a really good price too, it was about 500 bucks.
Son of a bitch. Really shitty ones go for 1k around here.
Son of a bitch. Really shitty ones go for 1k around here.
Talk to old people more and be 14. That's how I got it so cheap :v:
It's a holster, not a case.
It's a case, made of wood, one that I seen had crosses marked on it for the amount of English black and tans shot by it.
It's a case, made of wood, one that I seen had crosses marked on it for the amount of English black and tans shot by it.
It's meant to be carried as a holster and used as a stock.
From Wikipedia:
The main distinctive identifying characteristics of the C96 are the integral box magazine in front of the trigger, the long barrel, the wooden shoulder stock which can double as a holster or carrying case, and a grip shaped like the handle of a broom.
I guess we are both right.
I will be purchasing one of these in the near future, possibly next month or two. http://www.gibbsrifle.com/1903-a4_sniper_rifle_.html It has got to be the hottest piece of rifle I have ever seen.
The 03 is the most generic looking bolt action rifle in existence and that's why I like it.
I laugh at your puny Desert Eagle...
You never really realize how big a Mk23 is and how small a desert eagle is until you actually hold them.
Type 99 last ditch pics: [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1939265/type%2099/IMG_0168.JPG[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1939265/type%2099/IMG_0169.JPG[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1939265/type%2099/IMG_0170.JPG[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1939265/type%2099/IMG_0171.JPG[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1939265/type%2099/IMG_0172.JPG[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1939265/type%2099/IMG_0173.JPG[/img_thumb] The rifle is an earlier last ditch rifle, I think it's a Series 22 (1944 I think), but I'm not sure. These are better built than later last ditch rifles, as it still had work put into the receiver and other more important parts of the rifles, so they don't blow up in your face. Personally, I love it. The cock on close bolt is insanely smooth, it's light as hell, and the bore is near perfect. The sights are also really good, even if they are fixed. The only thing that I dislike about it is the bolt is mismatched, though it is a last ditch bolt. I'm thinking about buying a last ditch dust cover off gunbroker just for the sake of looks.
Amen brother, if you're not a operator keep your mouth shut when the experienced people are talking. Having a bunch of safe queens doesn't mean you know the first thing about anything.
So you are an operator? And no, being safe with a firearm just means you have a brain and don't want to accidentally hurt someone with unnecessary risks.

I love how the flashlight is like a lightsaber even though the room light is on
Speaking of shitty .22 handguns. I wonder how they got the rimmed rounds to double stack.
god damn that's ugly
I love keltec so much.
Reminds me of that, even though it's just a berreta m9 with some plastic stuff tacked on it.

Wasn't comparing them against each other. I was comparing them to preconceived notion. I wouldn't mind trying to conceal a desert eagle some time. I manage fine with a 1911 with a 1inch comp and a magwell, granted I don't carry it that often, it's just the easiest to fit into tight fiting jeans oddly.
Here's the deal. 22 magnum bullet design is nearly identical to 22lr bullet design. Not to mention, 22 magnum manages about 1200fps with a 40gr bullet and 5.7 manages 2000fps with a 40gr bullet. The 22 magnum will punch a pencil sized hole while the 5.7 will either yaw or frag. There's no comparison, it's apples and oranges. FN also delivers the best quality to civilians of any of the big gun makers, unlike H&K. And they don't rip you off on price either, you'll get what you pay for. A fully loaded five seven is 1.5 pounds, and plenty capable of grouping under 10" at 100 yards. It's also very nice for concealed carry because of how rounded all the edges are, it's basically impossible for it to print, and you can't even tell you have it on.
And they don't rip you off on price It's also very nice for concealed carry because of how rounded all the edges are, it's basically impossible for it to print, and you can't even tell you have it on.
Disagreement time. 1. lol are you trying to say the five seven isn't retardedly overpriced? around $1000+ for a .22 magnum pistol 2. CC is just a lot of the time personal preference but there are many more compact pistols out there that would be a lot more comfortable to carry compared to a five seven. And one of five seven main "selling points" was "oh my gorsh it can pierce body armour" but in a CC situation (assuming you ever even encounter one) that capability is pretty much nullified since no street thug is walking around wearing kevlar.
While this may look like a god damn piece of shit, it's the future.
I didn't know there was a rail gun conversion for a sig.
Are those tritium night sites?

Might as well compare a 22lr to a 9mm for that matter. The five seven is expensive because of its quality and capabilities. There's not a single thing on the gun they cut corners with. It's one of the most accurate off-the-shelf handguns out there. Regardless of opinions the 5.7mm round is devastating. It's a hell of a lot better than a 38 special, and I don't see many people who have a problem carrying that. If you place your shots, just like you have to with anything else, it will do the job. Its primary selling points are round capacity (21), weight, accuracy, and reliability. Plus not just the five seven, look at the SCAR! $2300 sticker price, yea it's high, but it's not as high as an ACR which weighs 3 times more, cost $3000, and is a piece of shit in comparison. How about the FNP line? How are they overpriced? For fucks sake their pricing competes with glock, and their quality level is getting pretty damn near sig like. Price: $519.99
While this may look like a god damn piece of shit, it's the future.
In the future there will be no wars because all the soldiers will get killed when they touch their rifles.
In the future there will be no wars because all the soldiers will get killed when they touch their rifles.
Peace through massive design flaws. That's one way of going about it, I suppose.
So yeah, I shot guns for the first time about a week ago. Shot a Glock 17, which was pretty fun, then a 20 gauge Remington 870, which was a hell of a lot of fun and had almost no recoil, then shot a Smith & Wesson 1911 which surprisingly had no more recoil than the Glock 17, probably because it's heavier.

It is practically on par with a .22 mag hollowpoint for wound channels and a .22 mag hollowpoint out penetrates it. Most 9mm hollowpoint rounds will completely out perform it. Aint no "apples and oranges"
