Just picked up a S&W Sigma 9mm. I love it, sweet and simple.
I've owned 2 Sigmas in my life, and hated the trigger on both of them. Ended up getting a Sig Sauer, then a Glock...
Out of curiosity, was the Sig any good?
Was fantastic. Loved everything about that gun except the aftermarket. It was a Sig P6, West German police model with a single 10rd mag. Factory mags were ~$40 a piece, ProMags were $8, but were shit. The wear on the pic is because of the age. It was born March 1976, more than a decade before I was. If I could get a P228 with a rail for a decent price, I'd love it forever.
BTW: [img_thumb]http://www.apacheclips.com/files/39fe3ae26ccb.jpg[/img_thumb]
I saw it mentioned in the Wikipedia article that the US is apparently a user of those. It has to be a joke, hasn't it?
That gun is hideous. Scopes just don't belong on lever action rifles and that stock and foregrip is disgusting.
I have a scope on my 12 gauge. I've even experimented with a low power scope and buckshot at 100+yards. (My saiga groups buckshot tight enough for that to be practical.) The 45-70 has confirmed kills at ranges that would blow your mind. [editline]5th November 2010[/editline]
Was fantastic. Loved everything about that gun except the aftermarket. My brand new P226 platinum elite ($1300) has rust issues, even though I oil it up once a week.
That's not fucking fair bro. Not fair.
Pff, air cooling.
The problem with water cooling comes in when you're already low on drinking water, let alone water to spend on the guns.
I know a guy who fired .30-06 out of a .455 Webley once. Yeah, I'm not going to try it with my Webley...
Yeah, the same guy says you can fire .45 Auto out of a Springfield, though what's left of the bullet spits out the muzzle onto the ground. Has to be hell on the throat of the chamber that's all I gotta say.
A guy is offering me a Sig P228 9mm in trade for my Glock...but it's an older model, which means it won't feed hollow points reliably without a new barrel. Also only comes with two mags....I'd have to trade him this. What say you, Facepunch? (Also, it doesn't have a rail)
Also guy who wants the blanks you know if those 5.45 blanks are for an AK the blanks won't be able to cycle the action...

Not saying GLOCK makes bad pistols, but they're nothing special. At any rate, I think it would be worth it in the long run to spend the extra money on fixing up the P228.
Finally delivered the papers to the police on the permit to buy a new gun and barrel today. I am looking so goddamn forward to get a gun that I didn't inherit or bought off a dead guy.
A Thompson / Center Contender, it's on Finn, http://www.finn.no/finn/torget/tilsalgs/annonse?finnkode=24827556

I heard they recoil like a motherfucker, but that's a .357 so no big deal. Just looked it up and apparently they do. They offer them in .22-250, .270, and goddamn: .308. That has to be a bitch to shoot.
lol nvm I need to learn to read ads.
Hva i helvetet.. :geno: Get a Mauser K98k or a Moist Nugget M44 or something please :crying:
Nuggets arent cheap in Norway.
Nuggets arent cheap in Norway.
I thought they would be, seeing as the supply is local. Or at least I assumed that. Norwegian made Nagants do tend to be more expensive though, even here in the states. You can pick up most any old nugget around here for anywhere from $60-$150 however, depending on what state you live in. Here in Virginia most are around $80.

I'm motherfucking tired of all these motherfuckings nugget and these motherfuckings Mausers! Krag-Jørgensen is where it's at dude (and not the fucking shitty .30-40)
god bless america for double barrel pump action shotguns
Sig 228 in 9mm. Great condition; functions perfect. Comes in box with two 13 round factory mags. Marked "Made in W. Germany". FTF in Denver. $650
god damn handguns are pricey
I think he's asking too much for a gun at least 20 years old, without saying a round count of <10rds... My Glock is rated at ~$500 new with 1 mag.
I think he's asking too much for a gun at least 20 years old, without saying a round count of <10rds... I would just keep the glock
I know Krags are superior, but that things looks like it's awful to shoot. Single shot, presumably insane recoil and then some. :geno:
Still, I like it. I'm also gonna make a stock for it and a new barrel, as it's my school project.

I'm not going to lie, it's creepy as hell to have such arguments in another forum, and we have a polite and informational discussion in this one...
The problem with water cooling comes in when you're already low on drinking water, let alone water to spend on the guns.
Drink the water and piss in the gun, it's simple soldiering. :v:
