I would and I have friends in Tulsa who may be going as well but you know, goddamn airfare and shit. :argh: I'd love to go one day though
If you see a tall lanky fellow, about 17 or 18 with a shaved head tell him moose says hi.
I can't help but think I'll be telling a lot of neo nazis that moose says hello but all right :v:

Here's the first draft of the complete list...I'm getting dizzy looking at all these spreadsheets.
But now I need to start on handguns :psyboom:
I would love a list of what distinct handguns used in the Vietnam War up to present times you'd want to see in a game that comprehensively covers firearms from the Cold War to the early 21st century. Handguns used by law enforcement are cool as well.
Colt 1911
Tokarev TT-33
Beretta M9
Sig Sauer P228
HK USP
more than likely some old dogs in the US military had a revolver as a sidearm

I'd probably dump the USP in favor of a glock. USP's, while well known, aren't exactly popular outside of a few groups inside of Germany.
I'd also avoid revolvers. Virtually no military or police forces have employed them since the rise of autoloaders. For good reason. The others are excellent suggestions though.
Something from the CZ series might be a good idea. A makarov might also be a good plan. A Browning Hi-power would also be a good possibility.
did you add the deagle?

USPs are popular amongst the SF crowd. Also, this is from Vietnam to now. Most certainly the revolver was a standard sidearm in the 1960s...
Mark 23 far superior to USP.
this is true
Mark 23 far superior to USP.
And far larger. Actually a bit larger than a Desert Eagle, I believe...
No, it's not larger than the Desert Eagle, it's almost as large as it, though. There's a comparison pic of it somewhere, but I don't have it saved.

Among what SF crowd? That's a broad generalization.
We use USP's in the Df.

They were MADE for special operations, but special operations outside of Germany have largely avoided them.
Yeah, 1960's law enforcement probably employed a mixture of automatics and revolvers, but the revolvers used varied a great deal.
If you feel absolutely determined to include a revolver then the model 10 from smith & wesson saw a fair amount of service:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smith_%26_Wesson_Model_10
It was used by idiots and poor bastards that weren't issued something better. It will, in virtually every conceivable fashion, be inferior to every other handgun on that list.

Wrong actually, even in WW2 a vast majority of the major countries were using autoloaders, and in America the standard issue sidearm was the 1911 all through WW2 and Vietnam, then it switched to the M9.
They used the 1911 for a long time, it had a serious service life.

I was referring to law enforcement. Sorry, should have been more specific.

Infact the only countries I can find sources that confirm their use in SF is: Australia, Denmark, Norway and of course, Germany.
I miss the SPAZ-12. I think its called that, but it probably has a bigger name.
I <3 the G36 series.
SPAS-12 was the most useless shotgun. It's only famous because it was in The Terminator and Jurassic Park...
The SPAS-12 is heavy, clunky and way too huge.
Why go SPAS-12 when you can go 870?
Or even a Benelli...
I honestly prefer Mossberg 500's over 870's. Though my biggest gripe with the 500 is where the safety is. It's just more hassle.

Why go 870 when you can go 887 for about the same cost?
That's fuck ugly bro
I dunno, i like it. But go with a 870. In fact, get two because then you can bolt them together to get the homemade 1740.
It's more of a door breacher, probably why the cosmetics are all fuck ugly.
It's not that expensive for what you're getting from it though, assuming you have any real use for a tac-shotty besides big game hunting.
The 870 is just something you use.
:v:
My gripes with the 870 outdo those with the 500.
Frequently having to clean/lube the thing so it won't get the sticky pump pisses me off and having to load it a certain way so it won't pinch my thumb ticks me off even more so than the 500's cumbersome safety.
870's are fantastic shotguns if you don't live in dry dusty as shit places otherwise you're going to be maintaining that thing waaay more often than you'd normally need to.

It looks like you listed the KAC PDW as 9x19mm by accident.
As for handguns:
Sig P220/6/250
CZ 75 or a Jericho (if you really, really want to.)
Makarov PM
MP-443/6
FN FNP-45/9
HK 45/USP .45/9/40
Walther PPK
PX4
And if you want prototypes:
Colt SSP
