9mm, Glock mags. I would honestly just prefer to replace the irons with something less shitty. Any ideas?
There's quite a few websites out there which sell some good alternatives. You could do something like what this guy did with his.
Personally I like Hickok45
Isn't that the guy that cuts down trees with a shotgun?
Isn't that the guy that cuts down trees with a shotgun?
He's the guy that joked about doing it, yes.
I just came back from my best classtrip ever. First off we visited Elverum Technical and looked at what they do and kind of equipment they have, then we all got to fire the HK416 (awesome, but we fired only 10 rounds in semi) Then we went to Norma Ammunitions and looked at their production facilities and then we went to see their gun vault. It was heavenly! We were allowed to touch dryfire everything in there. They had a whole lot of guns there, everything from special rifles in 6 X C, Accuracy International to Danish and Norwegian Krags. But most awesome though, was the Automatics room there. I got my nerdy fingers all over special weapons like: A British SLR (I think, it's was the Full-auto FAL atleast) A Thompson with a drum mag and it's characteristic fore-grip. An original AK-47 with folding stock. And last but not least, the one I looked the most forward to touching, an original AR-10 with waffle magazines. It was awesome. If you ever get the chance to get a trip to Norma, I say go for it, even if you just want to for the weapons vault.
What on earth are you doing? I kinda like the sights on the ASP, I'm thinking about milling some of those to put on my Contender. Anyways I will be milling a rail on the barrel of it.
Here it is, the SGW SKS conversion kit. I might go shooting tomorrow and I'll do a review on it.
While it might work, it also honestly looks ridiculous. So ridiculous that I almost want it.
While it might work, it also honestly looks ridiculous. So ridiculous that I almost want it.
The trigger pull is surprisingly nice.
That isn't ugly. It just looks like a waste of cash, that's all.
Nothing beats this ugly motherfucker [img_thumb]http://www.mountsplus.com/images09/muzzelite/muzzelite-Ruger_10-22-Inside.jpg[/img_thumb]
Im really REALLY tempted to buy one of these. Talk me out of it.

Reminds me of a sawn off Morita. That'd be a real head-turner to build...
Well those muzzelite conversion kits reviews are nothing but horror stories, so probably gonna stay away from those.
lol @ stripper clip fed bullpup
He should get those tapco duckbill mags.
[img_thumb]http://www.prezziesplus.co.uk/user/products/lg-disc-shooter.jpg[/img_thumb]
I had one of those as a kid...at my 7th birthday, my sister shot me in the eye point blank with it :downsowned:
[img_thumb]http://www.prezziesplus.co.uk/user/products/lg-disc-shooter.jpg[/img_thumb]
Why don't we have a "Nostalgia" rating?
He should get those tapco duckbill mags.
Illegal in CA unfortunately, mag fed skses are banned by name.
Illegal in CA unfortunately, mag fed skses are banned by name.
GOD FORBID DEM MAG FED SKS! Killing our children on the streets!
Another reason why CA sucks...
And most of europe.
The Model 1897 I have has 7 crosses carved into the buttstock. It was originally RUC but stolen by the IRA in the 20's so I can take a wild guess at what they represent. Nice peice of history though, still fires although I try not to use it too much.
My father's granddad gave him a french side by side shotgun, it has 4 notches on the stock :tinfoil:
He's the guy that joked about doing it, yes.
when i was on vacation in upstate new york i shot a step ladder 25 times with a 20 gauge shotgun then we threw the remains of the ladder in the camp fire. Then i used another 15 shots to cut down some grass to give my dad a sight line from the porch for deer hunting. I fucking love the Adirondacks
A British SLR (I think, it's was the Full-auto FAL atleast).
Not an SLR, it was a real FN FAL. The British knock off had only semi capability.
He should get those tapco duckbill mags.
Like it makes much of a difference, the mag catch on the SKS is such a massive bitch to use on a bullpup you're better off just loading three stripper clips in it. Those things were so badass.
Just thought I would add a bit of life to the thread, Post your top 5 favorite firearms and why why like them so much, you don't have to own them or have used them but it helps. 1. Baikal MP-133 first gun I ever bought, it was second or possibly third hand sitting neglected amongst the other clean new shotguns, it looked out of place and I asked the Dealer how much it costs, it was 150 euro. I bought it cleaned it up and haven't looked back since. Its a sturdy workhorse of a weapon and I take it with me everywhere. 2. AK-47 Given to me a few years back as a gift by an old friend, It's more of an ornament of sentimental value to me than a gun, I have fired it quite a few times and the distinctive "crack" it makes when firing is music to my ears, its ammunition is seldom acquired in my country and as such I have never fired a full magazine of 30 rounds, 15 was the most. 3. Styer AUG A1 It's my standard service weapon, Ive taken it apart more times then i can count and shot more rounds out of it then any other weapon, plus in our armoury one of the guns I always get has a faded Jurassic park sticker of a raptor on the butt. It's great gun and I am always happy to use it. 4. Jatimatic Now this is a gun I have never used or seen in real life, it looks rather fugly and was never mass produced. But when I seen Stallone shoot a fuck load of people with it in Cobra, I fell in love with it. The fact that it's handle is also the cocking mechanism is pretty cool and it comes with an over sized laser system makes it an iconic 80's weapon to me. 5.FN GPMG Another service weapon, its loud and its heavy but it feels just right. Our version comes with the wooden stock, very ascetically pleasing. When your firing this either with live ammunition or blanks (especially blanks) you just can't help smiling like a psychopath, a friend of mine told me "It brings out your inner Rambo" I agree. So thats my 5, tell me lads whats yours?
1. M16A2- Greatest rifle Ive ever fired before, in my opinion. 2. Colt 1911- Feels good in my hand and its a great look. 3. Beretta 92- I love to fire this weapon even though i would rather have a 1911 on my hip, its a great feel and controllable. 4. L85/SA80- My cousin in the UK is in the British Army and he loves it and i really wish i could fire it, maybe someday. 5. SMLE- Any variant of this bolt action rifle from ww2, this is my favorite world war two rifle just because it looks cool.
Another reason why CA sucks...
Only two more years then I'm off to NY, which has less shitty gun laws, for rifles at least (I don't like pistols particularly). [editline]13th December 2010[/editline]
Like it makes much of a difference, the mag catch on the SKS is such a massive bitch to use on a bullpup you're better off just loading three stripper clips in it.
I think imma get some 10/30 magazines for the sake of looks.
