people are enjoying the video because gorillaz are finally active again, not because we're "noodle fans" lol
I could have just straight up called every Noodle fan braindead but I opted not to
Did this fictional cartoon band member kill your family or something? I honestly dont understand
Guys stop liking the video Clovis knows your all just brainwashed into thinking its good, this is SICK guys, can't you see that your clearly in the wrong here????
The Book of artistry seems really dark somehow, I'm kinda worried to see Murdoc's lol
I literally made both of those points in my post
And then you ranted on about people being brainwashed into caring about this video? About people acting like they care about Jaguar and F1, and how it makes you sick, when we're just happy to see a band we like back in action? Weird-ass reasoning based on "millenials" not knowing about F1 or Jaguar... Like shit man, people are just happy Gorillaz is still doing stuff. You're looking waaaaay to deep into things.
Can we focus on the possibility that we might see a new music video/single very soon and not this pointless drama? No hate on both sides.
Can we focus on the possibility that we might see a new music video/single very soon and not this pointless drama? No hate on both sides.
Betting they unveil the remaining 2 books for murdoc and 2d, before a single with them together
Betting they unveil the remaining 2 books for murdoc and 2d, before a single with them together
That's what i was thinking also, Regarding what been told about the new album, It's basically a Upbeat Demon Days with higher BPM.
I literally made both of those points in my post [editline]7th October 2016[/editline] If you ask me, my overly detailed reply isn't any more cringey than majority of your responses to it, in fact its the exact same thing. You guys were bothered by what I said, and now you're berating and mocking me for it. Whatever /
You're straight up fabricating all of this 'cringe' with your trumped up analysis of.. millennials? and ten whole seconds of a character being rendered next to a real person [del]actor or possibly even a real technician I don't know[/del]. Everyone's just trying to point out how much you're blowing this shit out of proportion. [editline]7th October 2016[/editline] And what the FUCK do you mean the band is declining? Their last studio album was a good piece.
Can't wait to see the rest of the gang animated again, the animation for Noodle in this was great.
What language was she speaking? I always thought noodle was meant to be Japanese but it sounded to my ears like a unintelligible mix of Dutch and Korean.
Assuming it's Japanese since the subtitles are in a gana/kanji mix when she says 'wouldnt you agree'

The fact you are making this a personal issue makes it "cringey". You put yourself in these positions on purpose.
I don't see whats so cringey about answering a question that I was asked
The fact you can't differentiate between contextual states with real people, much less an animated character and the implications thereof, while not cringey, is certainly a call for counseling or thereabouts.
it's always a little bit cringe whenever a cartoon character interacts with someone in real life. but its not a big deal, nor does it ruin anything about the video, its just gorillaz stuff.
:wow:
:buddy:
This kinda reminded me of early Cartoon Network ads- at least, the reveal of the 2D character against the visuals of the real people. Can't wait to see more!
I've always loved the mixed medium approach The Gorillaz had. hand drawn animation with 3d backgrounds and 3d characters with 2d props and now 2d (but not the 2d) in live action. Fuckin polished as fuck too. Looks fucking fantastic. Their animators are so fuckin good. [editline]7th October 2016[/editline]
(I've likely missed a point but after accidentally erasing my entire reply I had to re-write it from scratch)
you fucking wrote this twice lmao
it's nice seeing all those teaser images from Jamie's instagram over the past year come to life in this video. i wasn't a fan of the new art style at first but it's really grown on me now. can't wait to see the actual music videos!
Hopefully they manage their budget better this time around. Most of Plastic Beach was never finished due to them running out of money. I'm looking at you, Rhinestone Eyes video.
This is the fucking best dude Its been so long man... Having characters grow up with you like this is just mindblowing, its like seeing an old friend for the first time in years
It's weird thinking of the characters' ages. Murdoc is 50, Russel is 41, 2D is 38, and Noodle's 25.
It's weird thinking of the characters' ages. Murdoc is 50, Russel is 41, 2D is 38, and Noodle's 25.
I'm trying to imagine how Murdoc will look as an old man.
I'm trying to imagine how Murdoc will look as an old man.
Since he made a deal with the devil, the exact same.
Since he made a deal with the devil, the exact same.
I forgot about that.
If you can't see the awkwardness in 1:20-1:30, then I don't know what to tell you. In fact I think you're seeing past it just like everyone else who is watching this video in the thread. It's called context. You guys only approve of this because you like a cartoon character involved in it. Do any of you really care about Jaguar or Jaguar Racing? No, in fact if it weren't for movies, tv and video games, you wouldn't even think about Jaguar as a company before you thought of the Animal. It is purely about the context. Do you think Formula 1 fans who saw the last part of this video would have a positive reaction to that? Probably not. You can even sense the awkwardness in the persons featured in that part of the video. Need more context of how cringey this is? Because I know what you guys are like when it comes to Noodle, it's very difficult to ever assume fair praise for anything involving it. It's a pretty okay assumption to make that you guys are only interested in the video because it has Noodle in it. And knowing people are watching and are so alienated, almost borderline fucking brainwashed into ~enjoying~ something they normally wouldn't give a shit about, sort of makes me sick. If it was anyone else in this car being depicted driving, none of you would give a single flying fuck. Do you guys really care about Jaguar Racing? Probably not. And I'm not summoning you to prove to me about your interest in Formula 1, because you wouldn't defend the 90% or so Gorillaz fans that didnt care about Jaguar Racing. I can make this bold assumption because: Gorillaz fans are (mostly) all milennials, and well it's pretty well known that milennials like us don't really give a shit about formula 1 unless we have a family thats also into it, or we're gambling on it or something. we are in the 21st century and there are tonnes of other forms of entertainment we have to occupy ourselves Formula 1/racing fans are (mostly) their parents; who wouldn't care about Gorillaz cause they developed tastes before the Gorillaz were even a thing. They probably dont even know of the Gorillaz apart from hearing their songs on the radio or tv ages ago. This also plays into the "cringe" factor when wondering why the fuck they made the decision to feature a cartoon character that barely anybody knows the name of, (if it wasnt for overzealous fans pointing out Noodle all the time, I wouldn't know who it is, let alone the fact she is even Female), from a band that seems to continuously decline in popularity since its peak roughly over a decade ago. This clash in demographics just has my mind boggled as to who came up with the idea to go ahead with it. (I've likely missed a point but after accidentally erasing my entire reply I had to re-write it from scratch)
this has to be the weirdest post I've read in a long time
