Since he made a deal with the devil, the exact same.
When did that happen? I never heard about that and I'm interested.
in any event I made a few avatars, hope they're not too cringeworthy

In fact I think you're seeing past it just like everyone else who is watching this video in the thread. It's called context. You guys only approve of this because you like a cartoon character involved in it. Do any of you really care about Jaguar or Jaguar Racing? No, in fact if it weren't for movies, tv and video games, you wouldn't even think about Jaguar as a company before you thought of the Animal. It is purely about the context. Do you think Formula 1 fans who saw the last part of this video would have a positive reaction to that? Probably not. You can even sense the awkwardness in the persons featured in that part of the video. Need more context of how cringey this is? Because I know what you guys are like when it comes to Noodle, it's very difficult to ever assume fair praise for anything involving it. It's a pretty okay assumption to make that you guys are only interested in the video because it has Noodle in it. And knowing people are watching and are so alienated, almost borderline fucking brainwashed into ~enjoying~ something they normally wouldn't give a shit about, sort of makes me sick. If it was anyone else in this car being depicted driving, none of you would give a single flying fuck. Do you guys really care about Jaguar Racing? Probably not. And I'm not summoning you to prove to me about your interest in Formula 1, because you wouldn't defend the 90% or so Gorillaz fans that didnt care about Jaguar Racing. I can make this bold assumption because: Gorillaz fans are (mostly) all milennials, and well it's pretty well known that milennials like us don't really give a shit about formula 1 unless we have a family thats also into it, or we're gambling on it or something. we are in the 21st century and there are tonnes of other forms of entertainment we have to occupy ourselves Formula 1/racing fans are (mostly) their parents; who wouldn't care about Gorillaz cause they developed tastes before the Gorillaz were even a thing. They probably dont even know of the Gorillaz apart from hearing their songs on the radio or tv ages ago. This also plays into the "cringe" factor when wondering why the fuck they made the decision to feature a cartoon character that barely anybody knows the name of, (if it wasnt for overzealous fans pointing out Noodle all the time, I wouldn't know who it is, let alone the fact she is even Female), from a band that seems to continuously decline in popularity since its peak roughly over a decade ago. This clash in demographics just has my mind boggled as to who came up with the idea to go ahead with it.
Also this is really well animated... maybe the best that the traditionally-animated Gorillaz have looked? They really nailed Jamie's art and it looks fantastic in motion, there are a ton of keyframes and it's animated on 2s. Guess that's what happens when you get that Jaguar money.

The time between her eyes opening and the gif looping is too short and it looks weird. Just my thoughts.
Mini-novella length examination of why people like thing.
That or they like it because it's the first thing they're seen of the band since 2010. I'm not even a fan of Gorillaz (eg: I had to check when their last album came out) but instantly jumping to whatever the fuck you jumped to is more 'cringe' (fuck i hate that word almost as much as i hate meme) than anything they've done. Instantly and habitually assuming the worst [sp]or weirdest[/sp] of people is the dumbest goddamn thing.

No one flipped out that bad about it being "cringy" when Daft Punk just showed up at a Formula One race.

Clovis never watch Who Framed Roger Rabbit you'll probably die of cringe.
Rhinestone Eyes storyboard, around 1:12:
Reminds me of something that happened... ten years and four months ago. Spooky countdown on their site, which counted down to... 6am on 6/6/6. It was of a pentagram in front of a pit in the basement of their KONG studios, I think. Anyway, the time came around, an creepy sound played... and Murdoc floated up out of the pit.
Heard good things about this band, but never really listened to their songs besides Dirty Harry. Anyone got good songs by them?

You know growing up I was never sure if Noodle was a guy or a girl.
Heard good things about this band, but never really listened to their songs besides Dirty Harry. Anyone got good songs by them?
their Debut album (Gorillaz) and Plastic Beach are great, Demon Days has some strong songs (it's where Dirty Harry comes from) but imo gets brought down by weaker songs. Theres also The Fall which was more experimental side thing.
When did that happen? I never heard about that and I'm interested.
Try to find the first interview they did for Spin, or anything on Murdoc's past before Gorillaz, I'm sure there's a wiki or something
Heard good things about this band, but never really listened to their songs besides Dirty Harry. Anyone got good songs by them?
popular ones: feel good inc, dirty harry, clint eastwood, DARE, melancholy hill, kids with guns personal favourites: doncamatic, o' green world, demon days, we are happy landfill, amarillo, revolving doors, 5/4, every planet we reach is dead, empire ants
It implies that the video was awkward to watch. That's not very vague
If you really felt awkward while watching this you should consider therapy, it helps. [editline]8th October 2016[/editline]
it's always a little bit cringe whenever a cartoon character interacts with someone in real life. but its not a big deal, nor does it ruin anything about the video, its just gorillaz stuff.
if this is what people agree with, then the word 'cringe' doesn't mean anything to me anymore; just a buzzword someone throws out when they dislike something.

Jaguar is cool. Your entire argument is just... no.
Heard good things about this band, but never really listened to their songs besides Dirty Harry. Anyone got good songs by them?
Personal favorites (In no particular order) From their debut Gorillaz album: Tomorrow Comes Today, Clint Eastwood, Starshine, 19-2000 From Demon Days: Kids With Guns, Feel Good Inc, El Manana, November Has Come, DARE, Demon Days From Plastic Beach: White Flag, Rhinestone Eyes, Stylo, Superfast Jellyfish, Empire Ants, On Melancholy Hill, Broken. From The Fall (This is more of just an experimental album but I still thoroughly enjoy it.) Revolving Doors, HillBilly Man, Detroit, Amarillo, Bobby In Phoenix. As well as all of those there was one song they made in part for a promotion called Do Ya Thang, I presonally love that song, especially the 13 minute extended version where Andre 3000 just repeats "I'm the shit" for a solid 5-6 minutes. Overall I'd say my high favorites are Tomorrow Comes Today, El Manana, Rhinestone Eyes, On Melancholy Hill, HillBilly Man and Detroit. I feel those are some solid tracks, the best thing about Gorillaz is that they have so many different styles and variations in their music, they touch on all genres.
