What? If you watch House only because of the Medicine, then you aren't watching the right show. Watch the show with someone with a doctor or someone in a medical areas and you will see, that although lots of things are true, some illnesses arent the way the series tries to show them, and some cases are simply medically wrong.
The character part about House is the hearth of the show, and the new serie will focus exactly on it. I see House has a modern Socrates, always trying to find the unbiased view on things, thinking about how people work or why they act. He sometimes acts in strange and sometimes insane ways. House is the central and most interesting part of the serie. Do you really think that the serie would be where it is now, if House was a regular doctor? No, what makes us love him is the insane things that he does, but with a rational reason.
I'm totally hopping for the new serie.

Hitting the "random" button on Wikipedia is probably how they come up with most of their diagnosis.
He's probably gonna deal with the mental problems of the other patients around him rather than his own now.
And everyone will be like "hey House deal with yourself first" and he will think that the other patients are much more interesting and then someone will point out how afraid he is of dealing with himself and something along those lines..

Of course House is the reason the show is interesting. But the reason House himself is interesting is because he's a doctor. While he's in the mental hospital, he won't be a doctor.
You said the show wouldn't be interesting if it was with regular doctors, and you're right. But it wouldn't be interesting if House was a janitor / anything not-doctor, either.

That's the other comedy he was in, I've forgotten what it's called but my video was Blackadder goes Forth. A few of the same actors in them.
