How is the CR-Z reliability wise?
Great, no issues at all. It was 5 years old this year and it's still going strong with 53k miles
Golf GTIs and Golf Rs are generally not too bad, the VWs you should stay away from are literally everywhere else where they are made cheaply with cheap labour, while GTIs and Rs are still made in Germany as they should be.
I'm sure that's the case honestly. But the RS feels more "raw"(?) so that won me over. Also, I didn't need a comfy DD. The RS is parked December 1st and comes out April 1st.

It's been toughing it out for 50k miles in brutal ND weather. Only thing I had to swap out was the garbo summer tires that come from the factory and had to change the battery out once because it failed to start last winter when it was -50 or -60 below zero. Other than that it's been a fantastic car. I'd buy another over a Honda any day.
The Focus is still unreliable as always, the Ecoboost engine is notoriously horrible.
Horrible in the small cars only or horrible across cars and truck lineup? I haven’t heard or seen anything bad about the F150 Ecoboost’s.
Horrible in the small cars only or horrible across cars and truck lineup? I haven’t heard or seen anything bad about the F150 Ecoboost’s.
Horrible in the small cars. Trucks are usually reliable.
Horrible in the small cars. Trucks are usually reliable.
Can't say much about the Fs but all of my friends Ranger live up to the Fix Or Repair Daily name.
I don't like Honda or hatchbacks or imports or small cars in general but I kinda like the Type R :v: It looks neat, like a Hot Wheels car came to life. That may be what I like about it.
It looks neat, like a Hot Wheels car came to life. That may be what I like about it.
That's probably it because one of the issues with this car is it visual design. And calling it a Hotwheel that came to life is a perfect analogy lol

[editline]27th December 2017[/editline] Also, the followup FOV is the most awkward shit ever: Comments say it all, really.
What the fuck? Who told you to do this? What?
What am I supposed to do when a battery barely holds a charge because it's deteriorated so badly because of consistent -45 below weather? Oh yea replace it.
What am I supposed to do when a battery barely holds a charge because it's deteriorated so badly because of consistent -45 below weather? Oh yea replace it.
Move to a place that isn't so fucking cold?
What am I supposed to do when a battery barely holds a charge because it's deteriorated so badly because of consistent -45 below weather? Oh yea replace it.
A jump starter kept indoors, not a new car battery every month. Where in the world do you expect a car battery to work not only in -45F (or C, for that matter) but work after "consistent" -45F?? It'd be putting out something like 25% of its capacity.
That also sounds like you need a block heater so it's easier to crank.
What am I supposed to do when a battery barely holds a charge because it's deteriorated so badly because of consistent -45 below weather? Oh yea replace it.
Wtf where do you live the dark side of the moon?
Great, no issues at all. It was 5 years old this year and it's still going strong with 53k miles
Sounds like a nice buy tbh. But is it fast? Or fastish?
Sounds like a nice buy tbh. But is it fast? Or fastish?
Nope, the CR-Z was pretty neutered. The performance is average, it's kinda like the first-gen Insight.

Plus, his channel is almost as bad as Vehicle Virgins, Civic everywhere [editline]28th December 2017[/editline]
Nope, the CR-Z was pretty neutered.
not even a few light mods can save it?
I'm sure you can wrench some stuff to make it faster, Honda's aftermarket is pretty good after all. http://www.superstreetonline.com/how-to/project-car/htup-1105-crz-engine-interior-upgrades/
Nope, the CR-Z was pretty neutered. The performance is average, it's kinda like the first-gen Insight.
The CR-Z was hardly a fast car but it'll blow the doors off any regular hybrid.

The cold degrades a car battery faster than normal so it has to be changed out more often than somewhere warmer. I've only had to replace my battery in my car once, and once in my 3 year old work truck which does 1k miles a week. [editline]28th December 2017[/editline]
Wtf where do you live the dark side of the moon?
A god forsaken land known only as "North Dakota"
Sounds like a nice buy tbh. But is it fast? Or fastish?
Not really, it's okay on performance. Problem with the CR-Z is that it doesn't do anything well; it has okay fuel economy and okay performance. It was originally marketed as a "sports hybrid" You have to really rag it if you want to get anything out of it. It's undeniably still a fun drive.
