The person(s) in hold if it is going to need money though, can't have all of those things for free. Or well, you can, but soundcloud only has 2 hours of free music, if you want more you have to pay.
soundcloud sucks
I don't really see why it won't work.
Starting with website - creating basic layout and scripts (or creating page on some CMS) - connecting it with bandcamp (sure the best option) or soundcloud for downloads - artist and release pages - comments - mailing group
Promotion - creating YouTube channel - uploading sets, promos, tracks with some graphic loop - creating FB Page - creating SoundCloud (and following everoyne, spammin' shit) / official.fm page - if tracks are OK, forcing our tracks on various channels on yt (i mean sth like NeurofunkGrid or PandaDNB) - getting a basic fanbase
Most of releases are free under some cc license or whatever - donate option - payable releases with bandcamp
It isn't something impossible, we just need some people to help out with it, and some artists.
never said it couldn't work
you apparently know what you're talking about
so go ahead and do it, no one is stopping you
soundcloud sucks
It's better than youtube.
After numerous attempts, I still can't seem to get a video onto youtube that has optimal quality audio.
bandcamp dumb butt
Am I permitted to send another song than the one i revoked?
From the OP
Then what?
Upon receiving it I will send the PM user a message saying I got the track. If you want to send a new/revised version, you can do that, but do not send incomplete tracks.

Alright.
bandcamp dumb butt
I've only found out about that recently, and I haven't gotten the chance to look at it.
Bandcamp is brutal
I plan on releasing the album when the most amount of people will be browsing the web. I'm just trying to figure out when this would be. Christmas eve and later likely wouldn't work. I feel as though a week or two before Christmas that people will be on break and browsing the internet more.
http://www.mediafire.com/?0br6f52zdpgih do your best/worst at editing.
Again, anybody wanna edit these together and EQ, ect?
Just the drum tracks? Is that all the song is suppose to be? You can't do mixing on a single part without knowing what the rest of the track is.
Pepin, and erryone else, It is a percussion song, that's it. I probably could make it longer if nessecary, bu those are the only parts of the song.
I've been trying and trying and I just can't get a pleasant sound out of those samples.
So, get better samples, because right now, they are just bad.

I reckon a friday/saturday afternoon would be prime time, maybe the 9th or the 10th?
Friday would do, and probably around noon. For people still in school, can I get an idea of when you get vacation?
Vacation, err, now and try the 23 of Dec.

You could try looking at traffic data on facepunch from previous years, if that's even possible...
Maybe just general internet usage would work.
I just got done with a recent song. I had to remove 50 cents voice from most parts, i've improved it a little and put a sample in there to make it a song for Facepunch.
Right before the drop it even says Facepunch. http://soundcloud.com/lashawndraniqua/in-the-clubs-facepunch-mix
any pointers would be great. for some reason though it cuts my bass out
Maybe you should try and read the OP first. =)

Like Dick said, you should read the OP first.
It clearly states that remixes and samples are not allowed for legal reasons.

I know I already read it, I didnt actually remix his song i made one and his voice seemed to fit it so i added it but its fine without it and with that said i could submt it right?
I'm pretty sure having his vocals counts as a remix, so no go I guess, unless you remove his vocals that is. =)
I am, I am trying to create some more samples to fit the music though.
You could maybe find someone to do some vocals for it. There are a few rappers on here, and rappers are very common on collab sites.
To clarify the use of samples, you need permission to use them. Free samples are of course fine because there is permission, same with sample packs you bought. The production of course needs to be original. Just use common sense and don't do anything illegal such as using stuff you haven't bought.

Of course, I try and make my own samples by using speech synthesizers and youtube videos of random screaming or phrases or what else there is. I think ill just leave rap out and cover it up with more synths

Here it is finished http://soundcloud.com/lashawndraniqua/facepunch-rock
Alright, I've got my contribution ready (well, sort of). The problem is, I do not have any means of recording guitar or bass at all, or not without a loud hissing noise that really is annoying.
My bass buddy did lay down the riff however on the song, but as you can hear the recording is pretty bad.

AS you can hear, the noise is rather overpowering at some times, and this is where I need YOU to help me reocrd a song that I really think can be really good with a noisy guitar and a pounding bass.
The song goes in 105 BPM, and is in C standard.
It is built this way:
Intro (drums only)
Verse
Chorus
Drum break (drums only obviously)
Verse
Chorus x2
Breakdown
Jam Riff
Stick
Breakdown2 (not the same as first)
Jam Riff
Verse
Chorus
Drum break
Outro (same as intro really)
Here are the riffs themselves (note; They are not transcoded with proper beat, but you should be able to hear it in the song itself. They are also put down as EADG, not because that's how it is played in standard tuning but because I don't know what the strings are called when tuned in C standard.)

NOTE : ON the first and third chorus, my friend plays an E2 that he slides out.
The guitar is meant to follow what the bass plays. =)
I would be extremely honoured if someone of the highly skilled guitarists/bassists of facepunch could record the guitar/bass part for me, sadly I do not have anything to offer beyond the newest humble bundle pack, and I only got two of them. I paid $15 each though, so you'll get all the games included in the latest humble bundle. =)
Does ANYONE else want to contribute to the idea I have for incentive-izing promoting the album? I'm willing to put down $20 if others are willing to pitch in.
