My parents really don't care that I smoke, it's legal for me and even when it wasn't they really didn't care as long as I was responsible.

I got pissed while on holiday and told my mum I smoked weed, she didn't take it as well as I had hoped every so often I ask her something weed related, for her birthday I offerd to by her some cannabis seeds she was not to keen on the idea although I think she is starting to accept it, as im doing ok at school.

So apparently because I smoke every once in a while: -I have no principles or moral values. -I use moral equivalence and horrible rationalization to justify my actions -I lead a 'horrifing' secret life that has my mom unable to sleep at night since she found out. -I don't try to expand my horizons or try in school(after getting accepted and getting a 30k merit scholarship at a top university) During what I hoped would be a fair and well reasoned debate, I was not allowed to defend myself, explain anything, or show sources of any kind. I told my mom a few months after I started because I knew she'd eventually find out anyways and I know that she smokes daily, and my uncle grows (legally). She was mad that I didn't tell her, gave me a lecture about how I can't go blowing all my money on weed, and that was it. She's given me a few buds here and there, and my uncle said he's giving me a half ounce for my birthday :v:

My parents found weed and some adderol in my room, but they just said they were "disappointed" and sent me on my way. Anticlimax, much.

My parents know I smoke weed on occasion because I had a get-together with a few friends while they were in Spokane and we hotboxed my room and they came home like 3 days earlier than I thought they would. I tried completely denying it, but my mom almost called one of my friends' parents and told him about it, so I took the bullet and told them he didn't want any part of it because he didn't want to jeopardize everything he'd worked for as far as school, sports, etc and it was just me and the other 3 guys and she didn't know their parents so yeah... My parents didn't approve, but they didn't flip shit about it because they know if they did it wouldn't get them anywhere and if they took my PC and Xbox away I'd just spend less time at home and more time getting high. My friend didn't get in shit (because I convinced them not to call his parents after I told them he didn't do anything) so it's all good. My parents also know I smoke cigarettes, but they don't really care as long as I don't steal my dad's cigarettes or ask them to buy me some.
