That is an awesome trailer, definitely hyped for this, hopefully it won't end up like the prequels(and it's looking like it won't so far by the trailer).

Sharing the same blood doesn't mean you are connected to the force like a jedi.
Sure everyone is technically connected but only few people have a stronger then normal connection, resulting in the jedi or sith. You could have a younger sibling with signs of force potential but not have any powers yourself.

Pretty sure that was just fan conjecture to begin with.
Seems to be a little too reliant on OT designs. Why is the Empire using the regular tie fighter design when they could have Interceptors replacing them or even the Defenders. Same for the Rebels, they could have E-wings. At least hope to see these ships flying alongside the classics.

Got to watch this a few minutes before the rest of the world in a cinema located in Stockholm. Everyone were dead-quiet untill the very end of the trailer when everyone just burst out screaming and clapping with joy!
The music in the trailer is so damn good, a great trailer.
Let's hope the film is just as good as this is.

They looks like TIE/LNs but there seem to be to quite a few differences, almost to the point they just have the same shape, we might see an updated version of a lot of old ships, plus the new ones.

I saw a scene in the trailer where the crossguard wasn't activated but the main saber was, so that means they're not vents releasing excess energy from an unstable synthetic crystal (Not that you'd need one, I guess, Luke's green lightsaber used a synthetic crystal, too)
So there you have it. They're micro sabers and they're there for reasons other than necessity. Gross. It would have some practicality if the hilt wasn't perfectly cylindrical
