Jesus was Jewish, it's all good.
Jews don't believe in rescurrection, Easter celebrates rescurrection, you lose.
Got something to say?
Isn't Atheism a lack of relgion? Or am I missing something.
Isn't Atheism a lack of relgion? Or am I missing something.
Atheism is the opposite of Theism, which is the belief in a God. It does not necessarily defy all spirituality. For example, Buddhism is an atheistic religion that has deities as in higher beings and spirits, but no specific God.
Um.
There are atheistic religions [editline]03:02PM[/editline] damn it lankist
Why do Christians celebrate Easter? It's a pagan holiday. :smug:
Christianity has borrow shitloads from Pagans including the daye for Christmas. [editline]09:05PM[/editline]
Jews don't believe in rescurrection, Easter celebrates rescurrection, you lose.
The Jews were butthurt thus decided to ignore it.
Jews don't believe in rescurrection, Easter celebrates rescurrection, you lose.
He was tho.
How will I get candy if I don't play along?
Jews don't believe in rescurrection, Easter celebrates rescurrection, you lose.
So you're saying David can't go to dinner at Easter at your house? Because Jews don't believe in the 'rescurrection' (sic)? Well that's quite intolerant, but what's more, Jews don't believe Jesus was the messiah either. So there is quite a lot more to it if you really want to base holiday dinner invitations on religious grounds.
I "celebrate" easter by going home to see my parents and eating a nice meal. Mostly because we get two days off of school for it.
I'm an atheist and I don't believe in the bible. But come on, who honestly argues with free chocolate eggs?
I just celebrate chocolate baby.
So we can eat.:munch:We sure like to eat.
I do it for the peeps.
Because chocolate bunnies and chocolate eggs are delicious. I don't even "celebrate" Easter, I just sit in my room.
and eat eggs
There's two types of easter I think. The religious side, celebrating zombie Jesus. And the eggs side. I like the eggs better.
Everyone needs a holiday.

I don't celebrate it, I spent the entire easter drinking and playing games and stuff....
I don't believe in god, but I do believe in getting together and celebrating with Family and Friends. That's why I celebrate Easter, Christmas, Hanukkah, you name it. As long as I get to spend time with the people I love.
It's not religion, its the meaning. Fuck religious need to celebrate, do for loved ones. This is a person who supports LaVey a lot, thats his philosophy. I think it's a brilliant one too.
I do it for the peeps.
Pun intended?
Why do christians celebrate Cristmass, it was orginal a keltic holyday to the "return of the longer days".
So that you will have something to ask about
I do it for the peeps.
What this man said.
I dunno about easter, but here christmas is called "winter holidays" which has nothing to do with religion, but with winter.

I didn't read through the whole thread, but it's a celebration of fertility. In Springtime, the time that starts a bit before Easter, all species want to get their sex on. Bunnies fuck a lot. Eggs=Babies. All is explained.
We don't, its zombie day for us. We watch zombie movies and play left 4 dead 2 while laughing at the Christians having to get up early to go to church.
That's REALLY offensive. Even if you don't believe in Jesus, have some respect for the holiday. You're not an anarchist, so stop trying to be one.
