I don't see how you can defend the lack of 1080P footage when he's stated that it was shot in 4K. I hope James uploads the 1080P version but I feel that the launch of the movie was a bit rushed. I mean it was only like two days ago that they revealed the movie was going to be sold on Vimeo On Demand.

I think he already mentioned in june or july that he'd release the movie online in september though. Just after the screenings.

Yeah that has been set in stone but like three or four days ago he put out a production log stating that he has been trying to compress the movie into a size that isn't too big and doesn't look like shit. I'll be surprised if there isn't the option to download a 1080P version in the future through Vimeo.

Lol what are you talking about, 3 GB could fit on a single layer DVD.
Most blu-rays are like 30-45 GB.

warez uploads are usually lower quality so they download faster, and lower quality means like 2-3gb low..

The movie sucks balls in my opinion. Rent / buy it for James though.
It's not very good.

Not if you're talking about blu-rays though, they are typically at a ~15Mbps bitrate (if not more).

I doubt it. Mike and that other dude aren't actors, so that is probably the one and only reason that they don't have any big role in the film.

As far as I know, no commercial BD releases are over 50GB dual layer discs.

But the point still remains that BD is simply not that small. Either they are shit digital versions on the disc for mobile use or a rip you got off a torrent. BD's run between 15-and sometimes up to 40mbps on the disc itself depending on the film and the mastering company.
I enjoyed the movie, it was fun and he used what he had available well. There weren't any scenes that stood out as overly funny but overall it was good if you're a fan of the series.

I think the weakest parts was the acting on the part of the crowd. Looks like they just did one take and were done with it. At least make an effort to not look like you're holding back a laugh when you're suppose to be frightened.

It amazes me that both the AVGN and Ashen both can get movies out that are OK, but Doug Walker over at TGWTG couldn't put a movie together to save his life.

no idea what TGWTG is like but you need to keep in mind James' passion is movies and making them, he's made amateur flicks for College before I think and he's a big movie buff and has read a lot of books on it.
