Oh, this actually looks nice! "Or like the new perk syst..." Dropped.
PERK TREES! GAME IS LITERALLY WORSE THAN MECHA HITLER'S DEMON GHOST!
oh no a progression system in a singleplayer game oh NO this is why all rpgs also suck i hate progression
"I don't like having this feature in this game that doesn't really needs it means I hate this feature and all games that have it" What a thought out argument, congratulations! Wolfenstein was never an RPG, and a perk system directly contradicts their claims that this is a true to it's roots experience of an old FPS game. Which suggests that it's just PR talk to get a few more sales from nostalgic people hoping for a proper revival, while in reality it's just another shooter made by the modern formula. Which is the reason i "dropped" the game. Is that more clear for you?

And seeing how the original Wolfenstein was a stealth game, I don't see what's wrong with incorporating some stealth mechanics.
Stupid video to appeal to the dumb self proclaimed hardcore gamers. You don't put cover based shooter with prescripted stealth segments and "old school" in the same sentence (also : mounted gun action and RPG leveling system discarding mechanical skills of the player). I don't see how this looked any different from a CoD SP campaign judging from this video alone. That said, graphics were somewhat nice and I liked the gore and death animations.
Stealth is completely optional.
Where anywhere in the video did he say it was cover based? It's run and gun with added leaning. Since when was leaning a bad thing?
This game looks cool as hell.
I'm glad that stealth is an option. So what if the commanders sound the alarm? I wanna pop some heads
Uh... None of what I saw is "OLD SCHÜL!", it's all shit found in current day FPS games. I don't want to sound like I'm hating on the game, it looks great! But why they're trying to bill it as some nod to old school FPS games is totally beyond me when it looks just like something you'd expect to made in the past few years.
Probably because things like being able to carry every gun with you at the same time, health/armor packs, and secrets are considered old school at this point. Which is something that never fails to upset me. This stuff needs to come back.
That guy in the video is so annoying
It'll get an 80-95 from review sites at best. I need to see more from the reward mechanics, and I hope there's a NG+ to encourage replayability. I have a feeling the game will rely more on linear scripted events, but I'll believe the game will hold up to the hype once I see more information pertaining to the gameplay.
Only on Facepunch is 80-95 "meh"
