It's compared to giving birth for both men and women. Usually a doctor will use a machine that sends soundwaves bouncing off of it to break the large stone(s) up; however, it's still up to you to pass the fragments and such.
I suggest you stop drinking dark liquids like coffee, dark sodas, etc. Sprite and other beverages like that are fine though.
I'm in the same boat as you. I've had kidney stones for the past 3 years, and I'm only 16.
The worst part was when they thought I had a bladder infection and shoved a camera up my dick hole and went all the way into bladder then filled it with water tell it was gonna burst.
That was some horrifying shit there. I fainted afterwords.
But yeah never say your bladder hurts.

I finally fucking passed it. Believe me when I say it was the worst thing I have ever experienced. I'm going to bed.
