The cutting can be done with laser now so there's no need for mechanical parts anymore AFAIK
That's what I thought aswell. This method in the video kinda reminds me of the "LASIK" method, where I think the "LASEK" method is used today, where they cut with the laser without having to make that patch first.
i'll stick to eyebleach thank you very much!

Always wanted to perform this operation for free now I know how.
Thanks OP.
I knew that red laser would come in handy from the canary islands thanks lucky lucky men.
I love How its Made mainly for the banging music
noobs these days
I'd love to get this done, but for some reason I also think wearing glasses suits my face.
Nope can't do it

Whats the point of the eye trap thing here? How does it work? Does it like have the alser go on your pupil and launch the needle?
Warning: do not eat jello while watching this video!

it's not meant to launch the needle, which is why it's a stupid death scene IMHO.
When I searched for a video of laser eye surgery a few months ago it didn't look nearly as bad as this.
Shit is expensive though when you can get glasses for cheap or contact lenses. I have glasses but not needing either would be great :v:

I've worn the same glasses for years, and they only cost me 300.
2:50 and onwards is the sickest piece of video I have ever seen, especially because of the GOD DAMN HAPPY MUSIC
My mum had that done. Shit, so that's what happens. Oh god D:
Please be true, I just seriously reconsidered getting it done.
Why...?
Meh, if it meant I'd have perfect vision then this wouldn't bother me.
why do people just respond to the OP and not read any of the fucking thread
Stop calling it a "flap", godammit that word makes me cringe
oh my god when he peeled the lens back and brushed it uuuHfhuHGu fLALRUEGHYSDy
I still want this done, you can't feel it, what's the issue?
I've just had my eyes lasered, cost me around £1400. Didn't feel a thing, and I could see perfectly about 20 minutes after the procedure. Best money I ever spent.
I have no idea why I didn't even flinch at that. I think it was the music.
