Perhaps you should file a complaint with your local consumer protection agency?

Thin ice my friend, thin ice....
Send this in to Consumerist and file a complaint with the BBB.

This
Do not give them a freaking thing, if they come to your door call the police. They do not have any legal standings if they do it again file against them. Just do not give them anything.
Was it the full dedicated server where you could stream porn and they wouldn't care?
I consider myself lucky that Indians can't speak danish. :v:

A collection agency can legally via contract force your bank to pay them. That won't work.
I just sent a message to their management saying that I want to negotiate the fact that I shouldn't be billed, and if they don't want to get rid of it that I'd be happy to pay the $214 then go to the BBB, FTC, and every other consumer protection agency that applies to the situation.

I don't know how it is in the US, but here, every industry has an "Ombudsman" (Actually a governmental organization) to handle higher-level customer complaints that can't be sorted out with individual companies. Try to find something like that (or a consumer watchdog/similar) and pass the complaint onto a third party that can handle the issue. They usually have higher authority that individual consumers, so it'll be much easier to get any issues worked out. They helped me cancel 2 months worth of mobile phone bills this year, just because my inept mobile phone carrier fucked up and deleted the number they were meant to port over from my previous carrier.

Well the idea is that they would rather lose $214 than deal with the BBB who will pretty viciously go after a company who does bad things to consumers, or the FTC and others who give them a bad name. Marketing wise it's better to just drop it and make me happy than cause a big commotion.
That the majority of customer support these days is outsourced to India, obviously.
I personally find Indian accents hard to understand.
Ahmed's e-mails are getting less professional and shorter now with longer times between them. Either he's getting nervous or he's getting angry. :V
Sue them, like suggested before in this thread. :smug:

I'd say both, since if your complaints go through most likely he will end up losing his job.
You should post all the emails.
Would be a laugh.
Damn.

Well I did kinda tell his management that. Said that I was going to wait a little about the BBB but I tried to submit a form to the FTC and it failed, but I would try again later for their sake. Kinda interested in what the reply will be.

Yeah I meant telling him that you had contacted the BBB and FTC, not that you were going to.

Yea, and the shit thing is that the ArmA 2 clan I was dealing with it for kinda went under far as needing a server and everything (We still exist as a community) and so I'm pretty much left holding the bag.
Yeah I meant telling him that you had contacted the BBB and FTC, not that you were going to.
Can't really do that with the BBB because they act as an intermediary with complaints and will actually contact iWeb and start investigating and trying to resolve the issue. That's a last resort though as iWeb will probably just pull out all this contract BS and say they're justified.
this whole time I thought you were hosting this using the iweb service on macs... then I googled it and it turns out there is another iweb lol
