Wait, didn't RLM say the simple story of the original trilogy was a good thing? Why is it such a bad thing when the prequels act too simple.
RLM said the prequels were to cluttered with too much going on and no focal point or center character
Plinkett: "Ya might be thinking that it's Anakin, cuz he's like a slave, and saved the day at the end, by accidentally blowing up the starship. But the audience doesn't meet Anakin until 45 minutes into the movie."
Wrong. Anakin shows up at almost exactly 32 minutes into the movie.
Wow, what a searing burn. Good job internet joe.

RLM questions five different people, who alternate between original trilogy and prequel characters. They start with Han Solo. Mostly they repeat the same things: rogue, arrogant, charming. One guy points out Han's mean streak (shooting Greedo), but that he has a heart of gold underneath. All accurate observations. I'll let it slide that the girl calls Han "sexy" (her opinion, and also his looks), and that they call him a "womanizer" (something that doesn't show up until TESB).
hahahaha what an aspie fuckhead
he literally has to have some level of autism
i don't even need to read it and i know it's the saddest and funniest rebuttal ever made
edit:
Queen Amidala's turn. For the next minute, RLM's group of amateur actors pretend that they can't think of anything to say about Amidala. Just like they did with Qui-Gon. If it wasn't an act, then these people were either oblivious, or they didn't put any effort into this. Not because Padmé Amidala is an example of an expertly handled character, but because it's not exactly a tall order to come up with a single thing to describe her. So as I did with Qui-Gon, I'm going to have to refute the extreme and exaggerated claims that Padmé was an inhuman blank slate.
haha
Does he actually come up with any ideas about their characters instead of just saying "they have some"
Does he actually come up with any ideas about their characters instead of just saying "they have some"
he just attributes a bunch of character attributes to them that are never hinted at in the movie in any way
it's like he thinks if he can explain what their characters were supposed to be that will make them less boring and stupid as written and performed
Jesus fucking christ, remember this is a movie guys
There is a religion called "Jedi" it is in Australia, based off these kind of people. A REAL religion
A REVIEW THE LENGTH OF A MOVIE THAT IS MEANT TO BE FUNNY AND SOMEWHAT INFORMATIVE.
He spent a bunch of time recording and making edits just so that he could make a review that was almost entirely him saying the movie sucks while throwing in a few okay jokes. Yet the person who wrote the 180 page reply is a loser. Why? Because he likes the prequels of course.
I think spending a bunch of time on making a barely funny, biased review that is as long as a movie is still just as geeky.
no, he's a loser because he took the RLM reviews as an honest to god nutshot to everything he believed in and wrote a massive, incredibly serious reply back to them
the RLM reviews were made for the purposes of entertainment by a group of people who like making amateur movies and everyone enjoys them apart from humourless autistics like you and the guy who wrote the 108 page retort

And I'm also autistic because...?
You do have a point though.
I can't believe people actually agree to this autistic child on that forum.
And I'm also autistic because...?
because you have no sense of humor
there's a jedi philosophy class at my university.
well at least that kind of makes sense since the jedi are based off ancient philosophy anyways
because you have no sense of humor
I just don't find Plinkett's humor funny.
Also: did this thread need a bump?

Isn't that a Star Wars fan forum or something? What do you expect.
And I'm also autistic because...?
only one way to find out
do you play Minecraft?
Can anyone post the Response on a different upload site or email me it at Servbottuck@gmail.com?
I'm leaving home from China and I wouldnt mind reading this thing while im staying up tonight, but megaupload is blocked :(
I really likes his review because he show and explain what makes a good movie and not.
and also he bash everthing he can find in the film.
Star Wars nerds are almost as pathetic as Star Trek nerds, but this one in particular wins it all....
Why would anyone want to defend the Star Wars prequels? I mean really, there are no redeeming qualitys in them AT ALL.
I'm gonna play devil's advocate here, since I'm not in any measure a star wars fan pe se, nor did I enjoy the prequels...
But put it this way. If someone were to come along 10 years down the track, with a brilliant mind and some sharp editing skills, you could repiece the prequels into one actually decent movie. There were sections and scenes in every one of the prequels that held merit, but ultimately it was how the final product came out that made it suck a hairy dick.
The other redeeming quality for true fans of the lore I imagine, is that it adds or expands to the universe and lore. (except this isn't really a redeeming quality since every bit of non-lucas non-canon works of fiction have been infinitely better than everything he's ever written)

By your shit logic people who make movies are autistic.
Making a comedy review and writing a 180 page serious report are completely different.
