I personally cant see how Atheists can just say there's not a God. nobody knows until you die, why dont you just go die and see if there is a hell.
Hell, it's easy saying there is no god.
Look at all of the evidence of him!
If it does than I read whatever you said originally wrong.
My point is if you say you're atheist most people will assume you're saying you believe there are no gods, so if you're not very sure it's good to throw in the "agnostic" qualifier. If you don't know or care, just say agnostic.
Okay. Let me explain this to you, this isn't a complicated concept.
"I know god doesn't exist." Atheist - Illogical, as besides the fact that it's pretty much impossible to know anything for certain, treats something that lacks evidence as the ultimate truth.
"God probably doesn't exist." "Agnostic" Atheist - The only logical one, agnosticism is more or less implied, as it is impossible to know anything for certain, however, acts based on a logical world view of what has been observed instead of what hasn't been. No evidence of god has been observed, and since the Burden of Proof lies on the people claiming there is a god, would make the best guess that there isn't a god.
"God may or may not exist." Agnostic - This makes no sense, as if pressed into a decision based on whether or not a god exist, such as... "You must answer if god exists, if you are wrong, you die." The agnostic would have to choose one or the other, and would ultimately fall closer to atheist, or theist, therefore, isn't really an agnostic.
"God probably exists." "Agnostic" Theist - These are similar to agnostic atheists, but ultimately make the flawed logical conclusion that because there is no evidence for god, there isn't any against it either, and therefor believing in god is a logical conclusion.
"I know god exists." Theist - Painfully stupid, lacks any testable evidence to verify claims, bases entire belief on flawed logic of "faith", will not listen to logic and reasoning. Granted, in other areas of their life, they may be perfectly logical and intelligent and what have you, but here make stupid conclusions lacking any evidence.

Yeah, I don't believe in god/gods. So I'm an atheist.
I like how whenever we have a religion thread all the atheists 15 year olds try and speak with proper grammar where anywhere else on the forum they might type just like me.

Proper grammar and spelling and going by the accurate definitions of words helps unambiguity. It's easy to see why dictionaries are consulted so often in these arguments.

My god, and there's my name
If I stop replying you will know why
Okay. Let me explain this to you, this isn't a complicated concept.
"I know god doesn't exist." Atheist - Illogical, as besides the fact that it's pretty much impossible to know anything for certain, treats something that lacks evidence as the ultimate truth.
Kybalt, no, not you too
damn it
Atheists can choose to not dismiss the possibility of a god and still be atheists. As it stands now, I do not believe in god. However, I understand that in the future someone may prove it. Or maybe he'll come down and prove it himself. Thinking otherwise would be downright unscientific.
But it does NOT make me an agnostic.
If you can't see why, reread the definitions of atheist and agnostic.
Hell, it's easy saying there is no god.

look at nature and science! It cant prove anything to be exact either!
there will always be something smaller than an Atom/Electron/Quart(spelling)
you cant really say either side is right. Agnostics and Gnostics seem to have respect for both sides which makes them honestly nicer people in the end because they wont scream "BAAAH FUCK YOU CHRISTIAN BAAAH" or "BAAAH FUCK YOU ATHEIST HEATHEN BAAAAH"
"God may or may not exist." Agnostic - This makes no sense, as if pressed into a decision based on whether or not a god exist, such as... Um yeah I would choose an answer but I'd be pulling it from my ass and only because I am forced to. Since I am in a situation where I'm not forced to pull an answer out of my ass, it's perfectly, and in fact the most logical to be an agnostic.
Granted, in other areas of their life, they may be perfectly logical and intelligent and what have you, but here make stupid conclusions lacking any evidence.
Yes, finally.

You've just been ignoring my posts when I showed you that you were wrong on your definitions. Everyone can therefore assume that you'll ignore defeat in other areas. Prove me wrong.

You can say that we sure the hell have a shitload more evidence at our fingertips than we do for God

Show me god, then I will understand Christianity.
Atheist never understand... tsk tsk.
What's your argument then besides bashing atheists? I like how you're preaching tolerance then you're bashing atheists. At least science backs up its claims.
I meant it that you're not completely saying it's impossible for a god to exist.
Yeah, and? That doesn't make me agnostic. But by your definition, it does.
So your definitions were wrong.
Hahaha good job starting a flame war yo.
Hahaha good job starting a flame war yo.
It's not a flame war, it's just a bunch of people not understanding what words mean
Yeah, and? That doesn't make me agnostic. But by your definition, it does.

Okay, how should I fix it then?
Atheist never understand... tsk tsk.
Science strives for such exactness that for every measurement, every approximation, every law it's also gauged how inexact it is.
and a bunch of people who don't understand the scientific method and try to apply it to philosophy

We wouldn't be talking right now if we were all Christians
I don't remember doing that so I must have said something wrong I dunno
You were arguing the definition of atheism/agnosticism and you posted a chart that went against what YOU said.
Okay, how should I fix it then?
Still ignoring me, further proving my point.
You were arguing the definition of atheism/agnosticism and you posted a chart that went against what YOU said.
Well the chart is what I meant so whatever that first thing I said was wrong, sorry guys.
Look how fast people are posting lol.
