So I have a somewhat ridiculous situation, but hear me out for a moment. I got an internship at a local office, and I've been working with a girl whom I've gotten attracted to over the past 2 months or so. The only issue? I only work one day a week, so I only get roughly an hour of speaking time. Mostly we just chat, talking about work, school, etc. I haven't dropped any hints that I'm into her as of yet, mostly because I don't want to ruin the experience for both of us. But now I'm getting iffy. I think I should probably just bite the bullet and ask her out the last day, but I just fear she's not interested. Since she's going to a different high school, it's not like I have anything to lose, right?
Good man. If you don't hold up your end, do we get a grace period to mess with Facepunch's favorite moderator? That moderator being you of course.
mess with how
mess with how
Post my little pony warhammer art in your visitor messages.
This is acceptable. I will not fail the Emperor. I will employ multiple simultaneous and devastating and defensive deep strikes. If you know what I mean.
Post my little pony warhammer art in your visitor messages.
I think you're going a bit overboard, surely we can do it in a more civilized way!
This is gonna fuck up my game. It's gonna be hard to ask her out now without starting off with, "I HAVE ARRIVED, AND IT IS NOW THAT I PERFORM MY CHARGE."
I think you're going a bit overboard, surely we can do it in a more civilized way!
Drastic times call for drastic measures. Also Johnny make sure your pockets are sealed so no spaghetti falls out while performing your charge.
Drastic times call for drastic measures.
Agreed. Operation: Get JohnnyMo1 a Date is Priority Alpha. If he does it, then he's further proof that anyone on these boards can ask someone out.
Hey I've asked girls out before
Alright I'm back, not going to read all of those posts except I am glad I read this one
lets take this thread back from drbreen drbreen, you have hereby been abrogated from ur own thread
Carry on.
Hey I've asked girls out before
I didn't mean to insinuate that you haven't asked anyone out.
Alright I'm back, not going to read all of those posts except I am glad I read this one Carry on.
Good. They're mostly unconstructive anyways.
Okay. Friday I will put my testicles where my mouth is. [editline]7th February 2012[/editline] Until then, I am going to work on my metaphors.
don't you think you're procrastinating just a little too much for a date? [editline]8th February 2012[/editline]
The entire post was retarded, how is that nitpicking when it is the whole god damn thing?
So you expect me to give a What-is-the-meaning-of-life 200 word advice on why he shouldn't have said that? i asked him a simple question, he answered, then i commented on that answer, that's that, if he posts asking why i'll be happy to give more details, even though we can give him advice to improve his relationship with HER friends, he should focus more so on his girlfriend and talk to her, etc.

oh right, that changes things. Good luck bro
Okay, sorry for a little bit of High School drama, but here goes: Basically, this girl I know is confirmed to have a huge crush on me, and I like her back. She asked me to a dance and we went as a couple, we both dressed up, we danced together, and all that jazz. It's a really awkward thing were we don't even say we are in a relationship, but occasionally hold hands and she rests her head on me when we sit next to each other. I know it could be a lot more but this is my first relationship and I'm very inexperienced and unknowing. Well, we are going on an official date this Friday to see a movie. Any ideas? I'm thinking "The Woman in Black" or maybe "Chronicle". I think she likes scary movies. Any ideas on which movie or general tips on this first "date"? Should there be dinner beforehand? I would trust you older ladies and gentlemen, as most of you seem a lot more experienced than some kid in high school.
I wouldn't bother taking her to a fine restaurant seeing as you're in high school, but maybe after the movie just ask her if she wants to go somewhere to eat. While you're there, just try and bring up the conversation of your relationship and where you stand with each other.
Okay. Friday I will put my testicles where my mouth is. [editline]7th February 2012[/editline] Until then, I am going to work on my metaphors.
Why does it have to be YOUR mouth?
the longer I'm in high school the more I can't wait to leave it feels like I have the exact same conversation about 50 times every day first we talk about how totally craaaazy the weekend was and how wasted everyone got then we complain about how much bullshit work our teachers give us then we talk about some kid who we mutually hate behind their back its so boring

It makes you understand pretty fast you need to find a higher goal quickly, or you will fade away with the rest of the fucktards who talk about their stupid weekend even 10 years later.
there are only a handful of kids i actually talk to about different things besides the default conversation topics theres this one kid who shares a lot of strong opinions with me so we always rant about life and politics theres another few who i like to talk about video games with and theres another kid who i talk about literally everything with. sometimes its children's movies or sometimes its weird porn or sometimes its anything else and then theres everyone else, and I'm good enough at making conversation with them, but its just so boring. i really dont care about the amount of homework they did last night
no thanks i dont like to be an antisocial dick just because I'm a bit bored by someone
i suppose you don't like being a hypocrite either lol
You should take it from DrBreen, Jo. He knows all the ins and outs of social interaction and fitting in!
