A kick-ass girl from school I didn't give a proper goodbye to when school ended and whom I then added later on facebook, sends me a message on FB giving me her number and asking me out "for a beer in a bag or something else".
Feelsgoodman.
Then I decided to roll myself a cig to calm me down from the jolt given by the previous event.
As I decide to walk to the road to smoke it, because we put the ashtray away to avoid the judgemental attitude of my uncle I see that some hoodlums have smashed the light by our mailboxes which is supposed to indicate the number of the housing area.
So I decide to go investigate as I hear what sounds like a group of teenagers. I don't even have to go far to see a run over bottle of gatorade and a freshly dumped pack of cigarettes (it had raided a while ago) and as I walk towards the second road (our road being #*>%corner and me going to a road called #*>%valley) and I see some people on a back-yard.
I go there and ask them how long they have been out and they say they've been out for about an hour.
Then I proceed to ask them if they have hear anything un-usual lately and they say that they heard a bang about 45 minutes ago. The lady tought first that it was a gunshot but the two men were hunters so they could tell imediately that it wasn't a shot. But they said that they could give their testimony if it would be needed.
Then I informed one of our neighbours about it and called my dad about it.
Feeling like a neighbourhood detective.

What?
A girl gave me her number and asked me out.
Once I went outside for a smoke I found out and someone had vandalized our property.
That's what.

don't shoot any black kids with skittles mr. neighbourhood watchman.
I won't.
Although I did tell the hunters about how me and my buddy were happy not to have any cops show up when we went to try out our new shiny (actually matte black) blank gun revolvers at his girlfriends place (at the countryside).
So. I'm fairly certain this girl isn't into me. I've just been mistaking her politeness/friendliness as tacit approval of my flirting.
Oh well. At least now i can flick my invisible Autism Switch to the off position again.
Was set to go on a date today.
Until a huge storm came in and opened a huge can of whoop-ass on our state's power grid. She pretty much canceled without hope of a come back.
-Lots of words-
I don't believe anyone can express the entirety and expanse of human life in words, or art, or movies, or photos, or forum posts, or whatever.
But with a little help from Kubrick, you came damn close.
Do you suppose it's odd that in my circle of close friends we use the terms "Far out," and "Groovy" fairly often?
far out, maybe not. groovy, yeah, pretty odd. not necessarily a bad thing.
I guess I need a rant, because this has been poking at my mind for a long while.
It's summer. All I've done is work. My friends who are back home from college aren't inviting me to do anything, and either don't respond or decline when I try to schedule anything. One of my closest buddies is always with his girlfriend - I can't remember the last time I went out with just friends, doing whatever. I've actually just been spending time doing shit with my sister, and don't get me wrong, I love my sister, but it's pretty dull spending all that time with someone you've been in the same house with for 19 years.
I'm getting sick of computer screens and shit. I want to go out. But I feel like my friends aren't giving me any opportunities to do shit, and we've even had a communication fallout, i.e. nobody really texts me or replies to me anymore.
So I guess what I'm trying to say is - I'm going fucking stir crazy. My friends aren't helping me out. What the fuck do I do?
lets hang out bby :))))

Bus station not even a 3 minute walk from my house goes to the Light Rail station @ Nine Mile, plus I have a bike and the car still drives so transportation isn't an issue
It was a joke about the, uh, "dangerous population" of Aurora but that answer works too :v:

I live on right E470 and Smoky Hill, ain't no "dangerous population" here
found a girl that likes to shoot guns.
Winner.
i sorta realized today that a lot of the kids in my group of friends are dicks
they aren't really mean to me specifically, but just a lot of the big laughs we have are at someone's expense, and the things we plan to do are dickish
like today they all wanted to go egg someone's house, and luckily we didn't, but then we ended up making fun of these 2 kids the whole night
i realized that i dont like hanging out with them very much
so this guy i know keeps making friends with these insanely hot girls in like several different states (i live in canada).
now i don't wanna sound like i'm asking the wrong questions here, but - where and how do i meet people like that?
Meet who? Hot girls? or people who know everyone?
Gotta start networking. I meet a lot of girls through other girls, guys, and social events. Hot or not, knowing a lot of people can get you places in this world.

I have a sort of similar thing with my friends, except they don't do things like that. They're great and they're my friends and everything, but some of them haven't got over "Let's do all the drugs and drink all the alcohol all the time" phase. And granted, we're all still in uni (or just graduated) so you'd consider that normal, but we all started when we were like 14/15, so it's getting a bit old. Like, I went over to my friends place the other day, and another friend of ours poured a rum and coke that was half a pint of rum and the rest coke, which we used to do when we were younger, but I always think 'Surely by now they're tired of being sick all over their legs, or waking up from a horrible comedown off mdma and speed and about 15 pints?' but apparently they're not.
I think, if they don't start winding down now will they still doing this when they're applying for a mortgage. Part of me would think that's difficult to respect, and part of me would have a lot of admiration for that. I'm in two minds.
I mean, it's not a huge problem but nowadays I enjoy chilling with a book, or going out for a few drinks (still getting pissed, but a reasonable amount) because I don't like being thrown out of clubs or getting fined for pissing on the street.
I've realised now this is only slightly related to your thing.
Make friends based on common values, not common interests.
One of my cats is pissed at my dog and it shat everywhere the dog usually sits. Of course my dog is completely stupid and it decided to sit there nonetheless and now my entire house smells like cat shit
arghhhhhh

no, 18
which is the reason i feel weird about it
im going to college soon so i really dont have to see any of them ever again, but i still would like to have a somewhat interesting summer, so i dont want to just completely blow them off
My world makes sense again
I think i may have been heavy on the flirting, which could have been a turn-off for her. But in any case, she obviously made her mind up about me long before it was apparent.
Still, i feel cool about all this. At least i tried instead of just sitting and waiting for her to make a move like i usually would. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.
