I'm going out with a girl on Wednesday and we've been texting flirtatiously since Saturday. Should I be saying something about valentine's day?

how soon is too soon to ask after a girl's broken up with someone? and how do you avoid the friendzone in that timeframe?
how soon is too soon to ask after a girl's broken up with someone? and how do you avoid the friendzone in that timeframe?
Each girl is different but I would advise against asking the first week after she has broken up.
There is no defined time span for a certain feeling to pass. If the person is weak mentally, it might last a year. It might be even a day. Either way , it shouldn't matter to you. When you feel comfy enough, approach her. Also, avoid it as you would with any other timeframe. Again, it doesn't matter.
Are you asking to be romantic without even having at least one date? Go out with her, and see if it still fits your pattern of thought.
I just don't want her to start thinking that our going out on Wednesday is a friendly thing.
I just don't want her to start thinking that our going out on Wednesday is a friendly thing.
Mentioning Valentines day before you even had a single date is not the way. Be blunt, be sure; be assertive and dominant. She would know within seconds you are what she's looking for.
is asking someone out on valentines day for a date sometime this weekend weird or not i can't tell
So I went to a party tonight and made out with that girl I'm going on a date with twice. But she was too drunk so I can't really tell if this means anything or not. I'll speak to her tomorrow about this hah. [editline]14th February 2012[/editline]
is asking someone out on valentines day for a date sometime this weekend weird or not i can't tell
I doubt it. It's pretty much what I'm doing.
Update: my fortitude roll was wasted because on the way to ask the girl to the prom, I discovered in an idle Facebook check that a more attractive girl who I'm closer with broke up with her boyfriend a few days ago, so I think I'm going to ask her instead next week. I don't think she's too hung up about it because she hadn't been acting any differently. Also, her friends were joking about it on her status update thing and she was joking back, but I think it's still a little too rebound-y, so I'm going to wait a few more days. Okay? Okay.
Another update. The girl I was talking about (the one who broke up with the boyfriend) asked me to prom today while we were conversing. Feel like a baüs.
Note to anybody who isn't currently in a relationship or 99.9999% sure the person you like has mutual feelings - don't get them shit for valentines day. It's a waste of your money, effort and rep. Unless you know FOR YOURSELF that you "have" this person, then don't buy anything for valentines day.
I don't understand why people feel that it's appropriate to ask for a phone number not ten minutes after adding me on Facebook. And I've never talked to them before. That's just a bit forward, isn't it?
Hey, can I have your number, Pascall?
no go AWAY
Same here. Wait, I'm like 25.
no go AWAY
v.v Okay.
v.v Okay.
I'll give you my number

Well I mean, yeah I'm flattered. But it does get sort of awkward when you're not really sure what to tell them.
Just say that no means no and that you need a parent.
"I only give out numbers in person. Online isn't secure." They'll be baffled by your paranoia and leave you alone.
I'm single on V-day too but I'm not bothered I'm gonna try and watch all six star wars movies keyword tho: try
I'm not bothered, but I'm going to avoid facebook and such so I don't see all the "oooo It's v-day and im snookums wookums is so amazing and I wuv him to death and we are so happy 4ever xoxoxox <3<3"

Too lazy to type. I guess it's not a big deal. Since I'm graduated and working I guess I don't really need to worry about making those little cards for people or anything. It's pretty much just a normal day for me
I was hooking up with random chicks from norway today on skype might ask one to date me tomorrow if I REALLY get drunk and desperate.
