There is a girl I work with who likes me, and I kinda like her as well. Anyway, she invited me to her 21st birthday party on Saturday, and I didn't go because I had other plans. I don't know what happened on that day, but the next day she was texting me telling me she was moving back to her hometown. I was texting her telling her to stay, and asking her why she was leaving, and all she said was that she had no choice, etc. and wouldn't really give me any information. I thought at first maybe she was just being depressed or something and using it as sort of a threat of our friendship or something, but today she called our work and told them she was not coming back which confirmed she was leaving for sure. It is now 4 days since her birthday, and she is leaving tomorrow morning, and I told her to meet me and explain what was going on, and she told me to come to her house. I arrived at her house and she didn't answer the door, and wouldn't answer my texts or my calls, so I assumed she fell asleep or something. Or perhaps she was ignoring me for some reason. It is kind of a bizarre situation, and I'm not really sure what is going on or if I am at fault in any way. I'm definitely going to miss her, definitely as a friend or more since we both liked each other. So now I'm kind of depressed and confused.
Im just going to throw this out there but I'm guessing she was sexually assaulted or something alike.
Im just going to throw this out there but I'm guessing she was sexually assaulted or something alike.
That could be very true. She was extremely drunk on Saturday and my friend said he just left her on the curb to take a cab home. Maybe something happened to her when she was alone.
That could be very true. She was extremely drunk on Saturday and my friend said he just left her on the curb to take a cab home. Combined with the contents of the night and the fact that she wouldnt talk about it... I'd say its a pretty good chance that something happened that night that she was against her will on. And leaving a drunk 21 f on the curb is a bad idea. always. [sp]I'm no specialist but thats just my observations[/sp]
Got drunk with a friend of mine we fucked we haven't talked in like 2 weeks
Got drunk with a friend of mine we fucked we haven't talked in like 2 weeks
What, like a guy-friend?
What, like a guy-friend?
oh dude don't even that's disgusting [editline]10th July 2012[/editline] (no really what do you think)

I'm really curious as to what happened that night, but maybe I should just leave it alone. Edit: Why even reply to Seith? Obviously hes trying to get a reaction from someone
What, like a guy-friend?
a girl friend things have been.. awkward
a girl friend things have been.. awkward
I had the same thing happen, except I work with her so when we both work together it's pretty awkward
Shut up with the awkward. It's as awkward as you make it.
Who spoke about relationships? See that's your problem. You think just because you have the time of your life with a girl (that you wouldn't have otherwise) you have to jump into the serious commitment of a relationship, like it's some tradition or some rule. Man, forget about that. Go with whatever makes you happy. Both of you.
Before I say anything, I just wanna say thanks for giving me advice. Now to the point: I'm very, very confused and it's very very weird. I'm not even 100% sure she even likes me, but my brother said that she told him she liked me. I don't know, girls are just so... NNGGGGHHHHH
well congrats on coming out of the closet drbreen
Asking someone to go on a date: Cleaver about it or be blunt. I think this girl is into me - well im pretty sure of it due to some 'events' that happened on prom. Anyway its really weird for me to do anything with her since shes super popular (yes, I went to prom with someone popular) and im just a floater, someone who doesnt belong in one specific group but is friends with everyone. Now she has interest in doing shit with me but we can never get a date set for it because of our work schedules. But! She definitely wants to go fishing and hunting with me so I think thats a good starting point?
Yes fishing and hunting is a good starting point, but not really "date" material. I think you should be blunt about it and ask her to a movie or something. Just be casual about it though. Maybe after your fishing/hunting trip you can just casually ask her to go for dinner or something another time.
i don't know what the hell was up with the answers somebody got last time they asked whether to be clever or blunt when asking a girl out (something about 30% creative? the fuck?), but you pretty much want to be completely blunt. having a decent conversation going before asking them out is about as clever as it should be. just ask them out on a date, it's the most straight-forward and won't leave either party confused as to whether it's really a date, and won't leave you embarrassed if your "clever idea" just seems really creepy to them. [editline]10th July 2012[/editline] hunting would be strange, but fishing would be a pretty cool date if you could organize it.

It will make it seem more fun and you'll get a feel for what she likes. So like go out to get ice cream. Then go to the park and climb a tree to watch the sunset or something. Then go to the movies/your house to see a movie or tv show you both enjoy.

Now it just comes down to planning the calender so that we are both open, hah. Also, constant contact is always a good thing, right? She always texts me the most random and sometimes surprising "I love you" texts.
Cleaver about it or be blunt.
Is this a freudian slip or a pun or what Also please change your avatar
Then go to the park and climb a tree to watch the sunset or something.
The cheesiness on this sentence is unbelievable. Way too much for a first date, unless you have been in contact for a while.
to plan it out with her would be really cheesy, but if you were just hanging out all day and took a walk through the park, ended up sitting in a tree/on a play structure/bench/whatever and were there for sunset, that'd be pretty legit
So, uh, how wrong of me is it to lead a girl on even though I'm not being pushy, I'm not getting sex out of it, and I genuinely enjoy her company, but through..... clashing of morals, I guess you could say, we couldn't ever really have a real relationship.
Going fishing tomorrow :FuckYes: Had to pull a few strings at work.. but I got the day off.
What do you mean by "lead a girl on"
What I mean is that I'm reacting to her advances and making moves of my own etc... when I don't think there's any hope of a real relationship. Maybe I have a different definition, but that would be leading her on right? I don't know. I guess I feel guilty because if it were to move into a relationship, I'd stop it.

For fun? Out of pity? All of the above, its wrong.

I don't seem to attract the best of prospects, but she's quite different to the usual. In looks and in similar interests to me. Maybe I'm just enjoying the attention while it lasts?
Shut up with the awkward. It's as awkward as you make it.
she's the one being awkwardy not me, i'd do it again multiple times
Uhh well if you're not interested but you're acting like you are, there's gonna be a moment where she's like what the fuck was he doing and why did he say what he said. If you'll flirt with anyone just for the sake of flirting, then that's you, so whatever if you're cool with that. If not, then you're being kind of an asshole to her and will probably feel that in retrospect. [editline]11th July 2012[/editline] @ doc H
