Tell her that a break might be a good idea but there is no reason to put a specific date or time on things, just wait until she meets someone else she likes.
Well seeing as I have been trying to go out with her for a year now, I am freaking out over this.
Well seeing as I have been trying to go out with her for a year now, I am freaking out over this.
You're making moves waaaay too soon for this girl by the sounds of things. It's only natural to want to be single after a break up and say to yourself yeah, sure, I'm better off like this. I'll be like this for a while. Don't freak. If she wants to go out with you, she will in time. if she doesn't, she wont.
Well, Im moving on. I am 75% sure that the girl I was trying to date is seeing these other guys she met a few weeks ago. Nothing big to me, just gotta move on. Until she realizes what d-bags they are.
Ask her why she wants to do that? Seems silly to me.
Yes, because it cool to have a bf.
What is the friendliest way to tell people to stop hitting on you? I have SUCH a hard time conveying negative emotions. D:
Congrats, now you can put more time into other things like a new hobby or what you were aspiring for.
Until she realizes what d-bags they are.
That's a false hope of consolation sprung out of your heart. No, she won't realize and even if she realizes there is less of a chance that she will look back to you. Stop thinking about the permutations and combinations, this isn't math.
What is the friendliest way to tell people to stop hitting on you? I have SUCH a hard time conveying negative emotions. D:
"I am not interested, sorry."
"I am not interested, sorry."
Take off the sorry, you'd sound like a moron
"I am not interested, sorry."
Oh, well now I feel stupid :|
Take off the sorry, you'd sound like a moron
or you sound a tiny bit more polite, and less like an asshole you don't need to be sorry, or act like you are, but it's a very short word commonly added to the end of sentences in the english language to make things just that little more polite. you're not going to sound like a moron by saying it, contrary to what Seith seems to think
Take off the sorry, you'd sound like a moron
beep boop

Robotic mind farts "I'm sorry, not interested" is what makes you a moron. If you want to be considered honest (and a real caring humanbeing) you tell it to his face and don't be sorry about it. Society in america supports hypocrisy and you don't even realize this.

Also, I would apologize not for turning that person down, but for hurting their feelings in the process. Rejection sucks, and when someone actually says sorry instead of some cold response like that, it really does help.
Did it help you?
Yes, actually.
You'd sound like a moron for saying sorry, because you are already being an asshole for declining his offer.
What. So you're automatically the bad person for not being interested in them. I don't understand.

Society in america supports hypocrisy and you don't even realize this.
you're not getting this Seith. just adding "sorry" to the end of a sentence doesn't equate to grovelling on your knees, begging for their forgiveness because you are so terribly sorry that you might have offended them (or whatever). it's just a simple word that a lot of people in english speaking countries naturally add to sentences to make everything just a little more polite. it doesn't mean that everyone that says it is some pushover, it's just what we do. for example, somebody trying to stop you in the street "hello can i interest you in windo-" "no, sorry" you could have just said no, but you might come off as a little rude if you do. but you're not sorry either, you just don't want to have to converse with this person (for whatever reason). but you say "no, sorry" instead of just "no" because like i said, that can make you appear rude. and whilst that's definitely not how it is all the way around the world, in the majority of english speaking countries it is. it's reasonable that you might not understand this, but do not try and argue against it, because you are wrong. [editline]16th August 2012[/editline] or you might even say "no, thank you" you're not particularly thankful, if at all, but it's more polite than just saying "no"
Compassion is not within his programming.
Yes, actually.
Bullshit. Whether or not what you say is true, my point is still valid. Everybody says I'm sorry, it's meaning is irrelevant, deceiving, overly used and only self serving so you telling me it actually helped you is beyond rational. [editline]16th August 2012[/editline]
What. So you're automatically the bad person for not being interested in them. I don't understand.
Yes, isn't it what the sorry is for? Or, are you actually affirming that it is complete bullshit and you say it automatically without ever realizing it's meaning? I don't care if you say it or not, but don't wonder why you can't believe anything you say when your words mean nothing but your need to be liked by everyone.

I just need to share my excitement. I've never been this excited ever in my life. Leaving for the airport in less than seven hours to go to London. I've been waiting years for this. dbjcahbcsbscs. Don't know what to do with all this energy.

APOLOGIES AND COMPASSION ARE BENEATH ME, MORTAL SCUM
Pathetic, backing off from your initial stand that is. Thanks for proving my point, I hope you'd learn from it.
uhh, i was trying to imitate you Seith. if you seriously thought that was me speaking from my own perspective i can see why we've had problems all this time... i still think pretty much everything you said is complete bollocks.
