It's not just me, nearly every guy I talk to always complains about woman never starting conversations.
it's kind of brash to assume all girls are less prone to coming up with discussion topics, don't you think?
Why do girls hardly ever start conversations?
maybe they hate the sound of your voice. just saying don't blame girls for what's probably your fault
It's not just me, nearly every guy I talk to always complains about woman never starting conversations.
Well, if it's in a lady you're dating, it's probably a sign that you're not a terribly compatible match. If it's in a lady you're trying to date, it's probably a sign that she either doesn't share much common interest in the idea, or that she just doesn't know you well enough to know what it is you'd even want to talk about! I'll tell you what's also frustrating, is people who use conversation to distract. My last lady always tried to spark a new conversation any time we drifted towards something she was insecure about, which turned out to be an awful lot! Can't tell you how many times we'd be laying on the couch, talking about our pasts or whatever, when she'd suddenly spout some random fact and try to latch onto it for conversation. At first, I thought it was kinda cute! I was just, like, "Gosh, her mind works in funny ways!" Then I realized it was a defense mechanism, and it suddenly became a whole lot less amusing. They both boil down to the same basic issue, you see!
maybe they hate the sound of your voice. just saying don't blame girls for what's probably your fault
I never said it was their fault, I just see a lot of guys complaining about it.
I never said it was their fault, I just see a lot of guys complaining about it.
yeah, sure, thank you for the oh-so-important observation.
yeah, sure, thank you for the oh-so-important observation.
Dude why are you being so rude to him
I am intolerant to people who say something then back off when someone thinks otherwise.
I am intolerant to people who say something then back off when someone thinks otherwise.
That's no reason to be a douche to people in the thread
I am intolerant to people who say something then back off when someone thinks otherwise.
Maybe something thisispain said changed his mind? People who are stubborn are way, way more intolerable than people who reconsider their opinions readily. "I am intolerant to people who say something then back off when someone thinks otherwise." sounds like an ideal you've decided to have and then stick to, for not much reason. It's like when people say "I don't care what people think about me! I'm me and that's who I am!" - you can tell they haven't really considered what that opinion makes them, they've just liked the sound of it and decided that having that descriptor is much easier than actually developing a personality. That last bit doesn't really apply to you, I think, because you seem like you have decided who you are, but I was on a roll.

Any straight guys had gay guys come onto them? Happened 2 weeks ago dude was like, you like a drink? I said sure a beer please. Took it, said thank you and walked. Beer tasted good.
So... yesterday I was at a Shopping Centre to pick up Guild Wars 2 and when I went to the bus station there were two cute girls sitting on a bench, waiting for the same bus as me, and one of them looked like Gwyneth Paltrow. They seemed like they wanted me to talk to them. When the bus arrived they got in, they sat acorss me. That one girl who looked like the actress just kept constantly looking at me, smiling and shit. We both got off the bus at the same stop. I had to get on the opposite side of the street first, and they were still at the bus stop here and then they, I think on purpose, wanted to get over the street next to me and went to some of the clothing stores nearby. That was the last time I've seen them and now I regret not taking to that one girl. I'll probably never see her again. But now, the most horrible thing comes. I don't dream a lot but last night... jesus christ... I mean I dreamed that I was in a store and there was one guy bugging her. I beat that guy up and then me and her left the store and when we wanted to cross a street a flying car hit me... of course I woke up then. Back to GW2 then... :suicide:
So yesterday was my first day of university and I was really social, like the total opposite of high school for me. I met a really nice girl, but now I forget her name and what she looks like. Thanks to that I had trouble being social today because I half expected her to come along and recognize me. Back to square one I guess.

Beer tasted good.
only gay men want me. that and my girlfriend. but she's an anomoly i find gay guys really approachable and easy to talk to for some reason so i always end up making friends in the gay-village of town on a night out. i'm with my girlfriend so my interest, or lack of sexual interest more specifically, is obvious, but after just talking nicely to people about whatever, i'm often asked half-jokingly "aw why aren't you gay". a couple of guys keep talking to me on facebook. maybe people are just happy to be spoken to as people and not as potential sexual objects. boosts my self-esteem anyways
I first met her through her mom. Her mom and I work at the same place, and one day she was having problems with her laptop so I said I could over to her house and fix it (which I did). I didn't actually meet my crush there. It wasn't until later when her mom invited me over for a movie. I didn't instantly fall in love(?) there when I saw her, but after I came over a few times and we talked about stuff after watching some movies I realized how smart and deep-thoughted(is that a word?) she was. Finding someone like that in this town is basically a god send to me, which is what I keep trying to tell myself and I don't want to be too late and find out she's already dating someone else. I mean, I was told by her mom that she said she isn't looking to date anyone, but like someone else said, I could be the game changer. I would like to get to know her more first and I certainly don't want to rush asking her out on a date. I'm just afraid of saying the wrong thing that would make her not want to hang out with me at all. My first step is to just hang out together.
Similarly to what djshox said, just go for it. If you're scared, then, well, hopefully anything I said before will help. I don't think you'll have any problems to be honest. If you say something wrong, there's the tried and true "I'm sorry." =P
I enjoy being bisexual.
I'm not gay or bi but I can totally see the advantages of being bisexual :v:
I'm not gay or bi but I can totally see the advantages of being bisexual :v:
Are you a human being? I'd be glad to fuck you!
no that's pansexual you tit
no that's pansexual you tit
The distinction is annoyingly pedantic in my opinion.
So a dude i work with tells me that his girlfriend managed to get her fist up his dickhole. Is this the new norm??
Why is it that now that I'm starting to become more social it's getting depressing for me to sit in my room and browse Facepunch? Is this normal?
Why is it that now that I'm starting to become more social it's getting depressing for me to sit in my room and browse Facepunch? I'm in an annoying situation that I'm not sure how to resolve. So the girl I'm currently going out friend-zoned a guy she she still had a crush on me, this was also not long before she asked me out in the first place. The reason for that was mostly because she was interested in me at the time, but it was also that this guy is a major "alpha male" douche tough guy. He's also a semi-jock. I've been around him only once, but I was with said female and she was acting pretty flirtatious with me. The problem there was that his mood at the time was "thug" as far as I could tell. And when I would joke around with the other people present I was being jovial around everyone like I always like to be, but he's got it out for me and he made it pretty clear with the few words he said and his general demeanor. This guy seems like the violent type but according the the girl, if he were to try anything she would tell her Father (who's in the Navy,) about how he's tried to have sex with her on multiple occasions, and he would proceed to beat the everliving shit out of him. Still I'm just going to try to be nice and make sure I don't give him any extra reasons to hate me. If he does try to beat me up or something, I plan to just try to get away from him and walk directly to a figure of authority.
Her father tried to have sex with her multiple times? Call the cops man
This fucking country, man. I think I just wanna move to a little Scandinavian country and leave all this insanity behind. You people can figure all of this stuff a good part of the world already has already figured out on your own. Living in the States is rough right now. Why? Because we've got war fatigue, economic fatigue and political fatigue all wrapped into one. The turn of the century was supposed to be great, and what'd we get? Eight years of a Texas monkey to screw up all the progress we made in the 90's and drop us down so far deep it'll take us years to get back up again.
Thanks for your input. I'll take it to the council of elders right away, and we'll have it all fixed up in a jiff.
