be cool, be confident (or, appear to be), be blunt
well, be fairly blunt. the conversation would be better than just "hi, do you want to go out sometime?", but don't fanny around too much
What exactly would I say though? I feel like just saying that is way too weak.
BDA, why not see if you can get a transfer from your university to study in Australia? I know a fair few people who have done that. I don't know what university you or they went to, but the James Cook University has a heap of transfer opportunities. It'd liven up your monotony, you'd be somewhere else, plus your job would pay better here!
During a regular conversation
example.
"I took a dump last night it was a trap"
"whats a trap?"
"ohh its when your shit is solid at 1st and your like ahh cool simple, then out of no where it turns to mush and is runny and your like ohhh fuck"
"Ahh right cool, ive experienced that"
"ohh really wana come round mine tomorrow? We can see if I have a trap and have discussions on why it happened"
There you have it, now go kick some ass.

I was considering doing my masters degree in australia, changed my mind at the thought of the crazy heat over there.
BDA, I had that exact same disease too. It was only aesthetic, and I got it fixed, so reading that made me feel pretty bad.
I have to say though that if you do wanna get it fixed, be prepared for a year of pain. Worth it though because you can sound like a badass if you explain the scars on your sides. "Oh, those? That's from when I had a stainless steel rod jabbed into my chest."
Fuck the rods, man, I'd go full surgical. Ravitch procedure, all the way. Slice me down the middle like an autopsy patient and crack those ribs into place.
I have pectus excavatum too (that's the official term for it), but I don't think I'd ever get surgery for it. They shove a titanium rod into your chest, and it slowly cracks your chest into place; at least that's what the most common (and safest) procedure is

I think you would be better off doing something more... Organic. As in look for a way to make it occur naturally. It tends to feel a lot less forced - jarring shifts can put people off.

Unless there's nothing obvious to transition to for you to use for such an indirect approach then it may as well be better to use a direct approach and not make her think that you're just beating around the bush.
the one thing that bothers me with me and my friend is that when we're together, we're gayest you could possibly imagine and i love it
but we never really text when we're apart and considering the fact that im so far away, i figure we'd talk more but we barley do. shes a pretty awful texter, she admits she always forgets to text back and prefers people to text her but if you really like someone, i figured she'd text me sometimes. she sometimes does
basically my entire point is that we dont talk much and it worries me and i wish we did. but im probably just over thinking it

Ask her if she would prefer talking on the phone, or IMing?
My friend had pectus excavatum, he elected for the steel bar treatment. It worked for him, I suppose, since he had it when he was fourteen and his body was malleable as previously said. The whole long-term thing of a steal bar in me freaks me out a bit, though.
ill try that then. im sure its fine and im just dumb
there's this girl I've been friends with for about a year now, we have 20 mutual friends and generally have a great time when we hang out. I like her and I know she likes me in some capacity, but I don't know if it's enough for me to ask her out (and possibly ruin the friendship and make stuff awkward between us/our friends). any tips?
Yes. You either lose her because you've never tried, or lose the friendship because you tried to make things more exciting.
So I haven't told anyone (except my mom but I tell her everything) that I have a crush on this girl.
Long story short her sister basically wants me to go out with her. Her sister was saying how she wishes I was a few inches taller and a couple years older so that I could date her. I know she told me that my crush is into older guys, but that's not going to stop me :v:
We actually went over to her house today, which was the first time I got to see it. She has a nice little house all to herself.
is she a cat girl
is she a cat girl
No.
But thanks for asking.
i'm disappointed

That is one social Canadien Jersey.
There are surprisingly many people who have pectus excavatum it seems.
I have it too. Although mine ain't too bad.
A buddy of mine has the opposite one, his chest sticks out (pigeon chest, I think it's commonly known as?). He doesn't give a fuck though. He's a gym-goer and swims regularly, so any chance he gets to take off his shirt, he does. It's good he has confidence, especially when his chest is quite obvious, but no one cares because he doesn't make a big deal about it. Legend!

Don't I remember giving you advice earlier? Is this related?

I used to be really self-conscious about it, but today I don't give a damn about it due to disregarding it; having a fabulous bod.
Hey dudes, this just came up on my news feed a few minutes ago. I feel like I should get the police or something involved in this. Im 20 myself and all these kids are like 15 maybe. So I know there just young and super retarded but this poor kid is going to be in a wheel chair for the rest of his life and some of the comments are telling him to kill himself and shit just because he told one lie about how it happened.

Sorry if wrong sort of thread but yeah advice on what to do here?
Is becoming completely fucking paralyzed not punishment enough? Jesus. The kid made a stupid mistake and paid a hefty price. I feel sorry for him for getting more shit for it. Who gives a crap if he made up a lie about how it happened? Those kids are extremely immature. Even if he blamed his accident on someone else - which is pretty low of him - doesn't excuse these other kids to make these sorts of comments.
I posted about a girl a while ago. Now, she's not responding to my texts, and this has been going on for 3 days. I realise you guys will just say I should go on and forget her. But the thing is I can't really understand why. Seriously, we texted all like normal with no warning or anything the day before, and then it happened. Nothing at all happened in between, so why between those particular days?

Its absolutely carzy looking at her wall. So many kids saying RESPECT and all this shit backing her. Fucking kids these days. I sent an email with an attached image to her principal, asked to get her parents involved. Will update if I get a response.

these people are reprehensible morons. I think you did the right thing by telling her principal.
With regard to the pectus excavatum discussion, my sister has that. We found out about 6 months ago, and wound up shoving a titanium bar into her chest. She's handled it pretty well, so long as you don't bump into it. And her fitness has improved a lot too; she's dropped 3 minutes off her mile time already (it was 15 minutes before, if she finished).
