I just moved out for the first time , into uni accomodation to do a masters degree.. I'm at the uni of Kent in case someone luckily has local advice... I'm feeling a bit lost, not quite sure how to make friends in a totally new place and how to get to know my roommates, they all seem to be reclusive as i am. What do FP?
I think I may like this girl online through a drawing website. We skype for at least 7 hours a day and text on phone all day. Met months ago. Killer is the she lives across the U.S. What the fuck do I do FP?
I don't think anyone would disagree when I say "Nothing more than you're already doing". You could maybe meet up some times, but the only long-term solution would be to move together and that would never work out. Just drop the thought.
Don't worry about it mate sooner or later someone will start talking
Funnily enough , 2 of them did 10 minutes after this post. :P One even shared a coke. :D
So I'm single for the first time in nearly 3 years. It's been a few months and I'm finally at the point that I'm not dwelling on everything and I'm trying to get out and meet new people. I've been seeing this girl Rachel for the past couple of weeks. We started talking online and happened to live in the same town, so we met up for lunch and everything went really well. We've hung out a few more times since then, and each time I'm making her laugh and smile more and more. She works full time and goes to school full time, so it's rare for her to have any downtime and it's awesome that she's spending it with me. Just a couple days ago she broke up with her summer sweetheart who decided he wanted to ditch everything and move to Arizona to go party at ANU. She flew out there before we started seeing each other, paid off $700 of his bills, paid for all his meals. Still, this asshole doesn't even talk to her, barely even texts her. Just 3 days ago she broke up with him and called it a day. She seems really into me, whenever we hang out she's playful and is always feeling my abs and slapped my ass a couple times. We've talked about sex and what we look for, and after telling her she's going to wake up with my head between her legs she confirmed that I'm definitely her kinda guy. Here's where I'm worried, if I make a move now, is she going to reject me because she's still hung up on her ex? Should I just go for it? I tried to kiss her once when they were still dating and naturally she rejected me, so now I'm a little nervous about trying again. What do? I'm really out of practice here.

You don't want to look back on this and feel sorry that you never took this opportunity.
I say go for it. You don't want to look back on this and feel sorry that you never took this opportunity.
Alright, the next time I go to hang out with her I'll give it a shot. Hopefully this weekend, if her schedule permits. Honestly all I even want is a damn kiss, that alone sounds awesome. This is the first time I've had a crush on a girl in a very long time.
Someone needs to explain why seemingly smart girls are falling for a braindead black guy who does nothing but work out all day. Is it just because he's black and they're being stereotypical "we r all humn bengs and r desrv luv" liberal shit where they conveniently forget about the nerdy white guys? [editline]15th September 2012[/editline] Because I think the nerdy white guys are more deserving of love then some straight out of Africa guy who has zero respect for women because of his ass backwards culture he grew up in. i don't understand why people say things like that these women are into these men because they very likely enjoy that kind of person the same reason as any for liking someone who isn't a "braindead black guy who does nothing but work out all day"
maybe she doesn't like racist jerks <- food for thought
wow what an appalling post
I don't care how racist it sounds, it's pissing me off. He's literally dumb and has zero respect for anyone.
Because I think the nerdy white guys are more deserving of love then some straight out of Africa guy who has zero respect for women because of his ass backwards culture he grew up in.
maybe because the "nerdy white guys" who have decided girls who turn them down are stupid make them feel uncomfortable? this "nerdy white guy" you're talking about sounds a little clingy and i wouldn't be surprised if he's creeping out this "seemingly smart girl".
I don't have a problem with all black people for the record. If he was white and acted the same I would have the same problems.
i can't tell if he's serious is he serious?
well you should because no-one would want to date you, especially not "smart girls"
maybe because the "nerdy white guys" who have decided girls who turn them down are stupid make them feel uncomfortable? this "nerdy white guy" you're talking about sounds a little clingy and i wouldn't be surprised if he's creeping out this "seemingly smart girl".
The nerdy white guy is me who's too afraid to approach girls because I know I have no chance and gets really annoyed when assholes get nice girls and hurt them.
you're too afraid to approach girls yet you're gonna call this girl dumb for dating a black person, while making stupid judgements about both of them and posting on facepunch about how you deserve love. the problem is you
not to sound like icarly, but there's no chance unless you take one and to say you're more deserving of love than another being is one of the worst things i've heard so what? a girl is into someone else, find another girl and actually make an effort then instead of sitting back and sounding like a racist bigot and making excuses for something that is completely on you.
The fuck do I do then? I know they're just going to gravitate to some asshole player with half a brain, regardless of whether he's black, white, Asian or whatever the fuck.
change your attitude start with never ever saying the stupid shit you said in this thread, everyone will want you to go away
change your attitude start with never ever saying the stupid shit you said in this thread, everyone will want you to go away
I'd actually never say that shit in real life, I'm not that much of a social retard. I can say it on the internet because my reputation with some people who are probably a thousand miles away isn't as huge of a deal to me as people I see on a daily basis. I know most of the girls are just going to get picked up by some asshole player though, no different from fucking high school.
The fuck do I do then? I know they're just going to gravitate to some asshole player with half a brain, regardless of whether he's black, white, Asian or whatever the fuck.
Try actually talking to girls and be confident. Even if he is an asshole, he's confident, people like that, he probably does more with his appearance too instead of being a pasty nerd (your words, it's also kind of hard for a black guy to be pasty but you get the deal). That kind of attitude gets you nowhere, you sound like the kind of person who would be infatuated with a girl, get to know her and become good friends :) instead of just asking her out once you know a little about her.
well first, stop calling other guys assholes with half a brain just because they end up getting the girls you want no girl is going to go, "wow, i bet that guys a fucking idiot who would treat me like shit! i'll try to start a meaningful relationship with him!" if whatever girl chooses to date someone, its because she likes him all you need to do is go up to a girl and go hi, start a simple conversation with her, ask for her number, then bam, work from there. ask her for a coffee or lunch or something. the worst that can happen is she says no and you find another girl to try it on. and if you don't have any confidence, fake it. if you see a pretty girl who you want to talk to, do not give that a second thought, just walk up to her and say hi the second you get that thought in your head. otherwise, you're going to over think it and end up chickening out.

well good i guess she's not your type wtf are you pissed off about

I don't even know how to pretend to be confident. I was fine for the first couple days of university, but something happened that made my confidence levels crash through the floor. I can't quite pinpoint the cause. Probably a combination of assholes and everyone starting to settle into groups by this point. [editline]15th September 2012[/editline]
well good i guess she's not your type wtf are you pissed off about
I don't even know, assholes in general I guess.
