I don't even know I just feel like I'm being put under pressure to date by society in general and that society thinks it's weird for me to be 18 and have never had a girlfriend.

I don't think anything short of professional help will truly work, but that's more money I don't have.
here is the truth: Grow some fucking balls, find some confidence and go for it.
here is the truth: Grow some fucking balls, find some confidence and go for it.
Confidence isn't something I can just go buy at Walmart or find under my bed. It's something I straight up do not have and can't even fake having.
Well I went back to my room and beat the shit out my pillow and other random shit instead of beating the shit out of the people responsible for pissing me off, does that count?
ur a weirdo dude
that shit doesnt make u dark and mysterious
it makes u a total creeper

I wasn't trying to be dark and mysterious by it. I was just taking out anger in the only way I really can right now.

except its not, confidence is literally just telling yourself you have it. if you put some effort into being a positive and confident person you will become one. first though you need to stop feeling sorry for yourself and pretending nothing is your fault and that everyone else is to blame for your situation. you are being unpleasant, stop. literally that simple. give it an honest go instead of setting yourself up to fail with this cynical hopeless victim attitude.

maybe thats because you have nothing going for you and you are a boring individual
girls are interested in interesting. get into photography. start longboarding. wear awesome sweaters. get really nice looking hair. learn to play a pennywhistle. or bongos. bitches love bongos

Is there anything not boring I can do that doesn't cost money I don't have and won't result in me failing miserably and giving up on it?

become a writer? produce music? you have a computer and internet don't even pretend you don't have opportunity

nothing in the world is like that
except maybe videogames.
but videogames are empty
aboo aboo im too afraid to fail im just going to sulk in my own shitty boring failure of a life instead of even putting a half assed effort in something basic and easy to do because clearly i am such a mongoloid i cant do anything
so how come girls dont like me???
become a writer? produce music? you have a computer and internet don't even pretend you don't have opportunity
I've tried the writing thing before. I had ideas but I'd just get writers block within a week of starting and give up. Plus the shit I was writing wasn't exactly stuff I'd want to show girls. No it wasn't erotic fan-fiction, it was super violent war stories.
And technically yes I can make music on the computer but I'm not into electronic music and I don't have the patience to learn the programs you need for it, especially with university classes.

and worded in a not dickish way

The costing money part is what's more worrying than the failing miserably part because let's say I bought a guitar and failed miserably at it. That's money literally flushed down the toilet.
if you don't have the patience to get better at something you are never going to be good at anything
who isn't miserable at guitar the first moment they played it srsly
acoustic guitar costs $100-200ish
not that expensive.
there are also plenty of art forms that don't require spending money. i do most of my drawing using ms paint and i've even done portraits using those scented markers they have in elementary schools, nail polish, highlighters etc. yesterday i drew in an old copy of treasure island. literally whatever i can find. i usually just use a mechanical pencil though. you don't need a huge set of shading pencils just to learn to draw. the medium you're using isn't as much of a hindrance if you understand technique

Well first of all I want an electric guitar if I ever get one and not an acoustic.
I've also tried drawing before and failed miserably at it, got discouraged and gave up. Literally the only thing I've ever tried that I was good at was writing, but it was almost all shit I would never want anyone I personally know to read.

what exactly did you expect to hear in this thread? do you want advice or a bunch of strangers pretending you're a victim for having seen happy people in public? if you want advice you've been given it. if you want to be lazy and sorry for yourself start a journal and stop sharing of with us

I want advice. What I don't want is to be given advice in a dickish way.
To those of you who are managing to stay relatively calm, I applaud you for being able to put up with me.

YOU'RE EMPTY
you're videogames
used, finished, then ignored when a better one comes out!!

Well if you try multiple times to do something and never get any better, of course you're not going to enjoy doing it.
Although, this discussion has gotten me thinking about getting back into writing again. At least it would be something interesting to say I do, even if I don't let very many people, if anyone, read my work. And when I did it before it was something I enjoyed and was at least somewhat good at.
So uh, what kind of move should I have made earlier?
how old are you be honest
I'm 18. I have no reason to lie. If you read my posts saying I'm in university you'd at least know I'm somewhere in that late teens early 20's area.

you've been given all the advice you need. you're just coming up with excuse after excuse not to follow it.
nobody here cares about how horrible your life is because you want to beat up some couple who decided to get it on in an elevator

I'm actually following the advice to find a hobby though.

good, do that
also keep in mind you don't have to show others your work. art is about self expression, you don't have to be conventionally "good" at it as long as you can enjoy doing it
you don't have to, but you should show others your work. maybe it is good and other people would want to read it.
how can you not have any hobbies
i would go crazy if i had no hobbies to do all fuckin day.

The internet essentially became my hobby. Thankfully I'll be trying to get into something much better and fulfilling.
