You know what?
I'm not even going to mention the bar anymore, I'm just gonna ask her out for that coffee on Saturday and let her pick up the bar night from there if she feels like it.
I want you to to take what I am going to say into mind and not as me having a "bigger dick" fight.
So, for someone so nonchalant about his relationship with his girlfriend, you seem dreadfully concerned with how much you talk to her. While wanting to talk to her is natural, I now find your issue with facebook more of an obssesive behaviour rather than an attempt to actually find out why she hates facebook, so you could continue communicating with her easily. In short, your choice of words ("I'm worried"; when in fact there's nothing to worry evidently by you / "but it's shit anyway) and this line specifically (so I'm confident its not an issue with her not wanting to talk to me, when nobody even remotely stated that.....) makes me wonder whether you are facing something other than a petty facebook issue......
I hope you take this perspective to a positive place.
I know why she hates it, we've talked about it before, but yeah, I think I was just dwelling on it and being broody and worrying about nothing which are all things I do too much. In the end it's probably me having too much time on my hands and creating an issue out of a non issue. I guess I'm blowing things out of proportion
legitimate helpful post actually so thank you man
Okay, well the girl I was talking about earlier...
Seems she has a boyfriend. :/
Then again, he is in China, and she's going to be here for the next few years.
What do

If you can't find a companion, you can just move to Japan, because your competition will be low.

D'you think I should wait for a bit and see what happens? We are getting along well together.

We're still friends, so no, I'm not going to leave her alone
we need a Creepy emote
Okay, I should have made that clear, I mean that yes, I'm not going to hit on her, but I'm not going to steer clear of her either
She is in most of my classes

You said you wanted to wait around for a girl to see if she breaks it off with her boyfriend anytime soon on the simple premise that she and him are an LDR. Then when people advise you to leave her alone (aka back off and don't pressure her), you disregard them entirely and respond with a statement so vague that it could easily be implied that you want to actively pursue her anyway.
I find that whenever people get all offended on this thread and the other one it's only because they don't like people telling them not to do what have already in the mind decided they want to do, which in your case would be to "go get 'er". They're pointing out that what you want to do is a potentially asshole move. They aren't being hostile.
how is the a social advice thread when half the people who are giving advice are total creepers

You seem to know enough about creepers to label a person one, what are the true qualities of a creeper that makes one easily identifiable?
Just so you know people dont become one.
following girls that have boyfriends

How can i get my anger to stop controlling me? I almost lost a friend yesterday and iv'e known him for years.
Its really sad how when he pisses me off i overreact And i cant control it.
get some proper help
You take responsibility. Call your friend and tell him you had overreacted and that you let your emotions control you.

? Someone who can't control his emotions efficiently automatically needs professional help?

Actually, I didn't say I was going to. I accepted that I shouldn't pursue her. I was asking, should I maybe wait and see what happens, which isn't the same thing. Just because I ask a different question doesn't mean I'm disagreeing with you or disregarding what people were saying. Sorry that it wasn't clear I accepted it the first time.
The reason I consider it hostile is because Guy said "leave her the hell alone" after no more than two posts of mine. Which seemed aggressive considering I asked a different question the second time.
if his anger really is controlling him, like he says, then yes. i think it's way out of our collective depth

no, this is literally the same thing. forget about it. move on.

I think you're wrong.
I got my first girlfriend last year. I was 18, and it was well worth the wait (I actually wrote weight because of the gabe jokes). I think the best thing to do is just be yourself! And be patient. Although, we didn't really know each other. We honestly knew each other maybe about 3 months. Be sweet, but not creeper sweet. Anyways, we are gonna move into an apartment next year and I am pretty excited.

☺
So people, I met up with this girl on Saturday who until the end of last term went to my college and rather enjoyed my company having a look and a drink in town. She messages and talks with me on Facebook often which nobody except my best friend does. We're also having a bit of fun playing Portal 2 at the moment, But the thing is I don't know if she thinks of me as a good friend or something more.
