that would never work for me because my floor fellow would just be loudly arguing outside my room about why its sexist and racist to ask to touch her hair while everyone else eggs her on

shes some super strong feminist black girl and she has a really big fro sometimes people ask to touch it because its a really cool big fro but she says its demeaning, sexist, and racist, as if her hair is some foreign object and when people ask to touch it, they are basically asking her to validate herself as a real person or something i dont know its weird
that's interesting though it's pretty weird that everyone is crowding around her to touch her hair that would get annoying pretty quickly
no its not like that though [editline]15th October 2012[/editline] shes just one of those people who took a lot of social college courses and regurgitates all the stuff they learned from it as if theyre somehow on a higher moral level than the rest of us
Complete sensory deprivation. Staying still in complete darkness for as long as possible is probably the most relaxing test of endurance.
i get stressed a lot and light/sound make me claustrophobic (idk if that makes sense) usually at night i'll shut off everything light/sound-producing and listen to chill music

It's not a physical prevention from it but when I have trouble sleeping I usually follow my train of thought until I reach a conclusion, then I drop like a sack. I figure that I'm already thinking about it, I've thought about it for a reason, might as well figure it out if it's keeping me up.
as if theyre somehow on a higher moral level than the rest of us
she probably is on a higher moral level tbh
Oh my frikkin god the ask about the forums thread is driving me nuts and i need to sleep so im awake for tomorrow. I should not get this emotionally invested with an argument about a mod I dont even know! Needed a vent, anyway on that note, Im a very fidgety person, plausibly hyperactive. I have a hard time settling down to sleep. My mind will be all over the place too. I find music helps somewhat. What about you guys?
You're probably already asleep at this point, but songs with slow lyrics (of whatever music taste you have). I find dance/electro music works very well as songs are generally designed to have either an energetic or calming effect in themselves.

I have a job interview today at best buy. Any tips?
I have a job interview today at best buy. Any tips?
going commando might seem like a good idea but it very rarely is
going commando might seem like a good idea but it very rarely is
I was thinking I would just walk in there all casual and shit. And then try stuffing a 70'' LCD TV into my jacket and when they catch me I'll just be like ''I'm here for the interview?''
she probably is on a higher moral level tbh
moral level doesnt even mean anything
moral level doesnt even mean anything
+15 exp ding! moral level 13
I have a job interview today at best buy. Any tips?
a few weeks ago, I got out of bed. I was awake for thirty minutes, just after eating breakfast, before I decided I'd jump out of a plane. it was an hour and a half from waking up that I was 12 000 feet in the air and falling towards the earth at 200 kilometres an hour. I then applied for a night job that pays double what I earn now, had the interviewer notify me the next day telling me I had an interview in two hours, and smashed it. I start this Thursday. Be that confident.
moral level doesnt even mean anything
i wasn't serious she should lighten up though
I don't know how anybody can fall asleep with music or a movie on. If there is anything to keep my mind occupied, there's no way I'm snoozin. I need some kinda white noise just to drown out everything else. I love a fan going full blast by my bed, so I can eskimo up. I'd like to live near an ocean. The surf is very relaxing. [editline]15th October 2012[/editline] Also wind and storms and rain. I love going to sleep when there's a big storm out!
i'm the exact opposite, my mind has to be occupied or else i'll start panicking i'll have auditory hallucinations and i'll stay awake for hours
Shutting off my mind is sometimes very hard for me. No auditory hallucinations, just daydreaming at night. I try to think of sleepy things, but as long as I'm thinking, I can't actually sleep. So I try to think of nothing, but trying to think of nothing is, like, impossible. Because consciously thinking of nothing is the same damn thing as thinking of something! I've had sleep problems for most of my life because of it. Can't tell you how many nights I've spent laying in bed for three or four hours before finally dozing. I'm late for almost every morning engagement! I average about five hours of sleep a night, but on bad days I'll get as little as two or three. It's less than I need; I always feel tired!
I average about five hours of sleep a night, which is probably less than I need. I bet it's why I always feel so draggy and lethargic!
for me it's like five-six hours on weekdays and then as much sleep as I can humanly get on the weekends it's probably really bad for me. I feel lethargic quite a bit of the time too

I've got one night a week off, and I have to switch from sleeping at night to sleeping in the day twice a week. It's pretty exhausting! Ever since I started this schedule, I've had very little verve. [editline]15th October 2012[/editline] A marked lack of vim. [editline]15th October 2012[/editline] It's starting to affect my studies :[
In my case, I love to fall asleep at the sound of heavy rain. I have this plastic cover above my window to prevent the terrace in front of it to get flooded and the raindrops falling over it is the most soothing sound ever to sleep.
I'm back for a legitimate reason. It's come to my attention that on the 26th I will be going on a field trip to a museum in a nearby city. Not many people are going on this trip, and it so happens that the girl I fancy is going, and no one else in our friend group will be on this trip. We have both acknowledged that we will be spending much of that day together. What do

"What do" doesn't really explain what problem you're having. Also whenever I'm at a mates or something they often put on punk music or whatever and fuck, I hate them for it, cannot sleep ever when they put it on one time though someone put on some massive attack at a really quiet volume and that was alright
I like some music before I sleep just to clear my mind. To actually sleep though I need quiet and pitch-black darkness. Lights keep me up at night; I actually turn my alarm clock around so it faces the wall, its took bright otherwise. If I'm tired enough though, I can sleep anywhere. I once slept on top of a log during a camping trip.

And I don't really know, I just want people to tell me the advices.
