1. tidy up your appearance 2. try not to be so weird and those are just two (reasonably) simple steps that should improve your chances, if only minorly
1. tidy up your appearance 2. try not to be so weird and those are just two (reasonably) simple steps that should improve your chances, if only minorly
These are about as vague as my posts. Tidy your appearance???? Try not to be weird???
These are about as vague as my posts. Tidy your appearance???? Try not to be weird???
Its pretty good advice, all things considered.
tidy up your appearance - if you can't understand that Seith then i understand why we've been having problems try not to be so weird - if he consciously knows he's weird, then he can take steps to avoid being so weird. for example, if he's the type of person that says weird stuff, then before he says it he can just quickly say to himself "if i say this, is it going to make me look weird?", and if the answer is yes then he just doesn't say it it's very simple seith.
Its pretty good advice, all things considered.
I would assume anyone who's extremely "weird" and "untidy" would not choose to keep acting this way if it bothers him. Meaning, if he doesn't change these behaviors naturally, because it bothers him, then he might have a problem understanding what exactly is "weird" or "untidy". That's why I think this advice is vague, and really isn't simple. That's like saying, you can't can't do math well??? keep practicing. To someone who is shit at math, this means nothing.
he didn't say he was "extremely weird", and he didn't say he was "untidy" he might actually keep himself very well groomed, in which case he needn't change a thing but if he thinks that he's ugly, then there are little things he can do to help that. you're not going to change your facial structure, that's a given, but by keeping a neat hairstyle, staying well shaven and (if you have bad skin) taking as best care of it as you can, then it'll all help and you'll look much better than you did if you have bad hair and bad facial hair.
These are about as vague as my posts.
no they're not
1. tidy up your appearance 2. try not to be so weird and those are just two (reasonably) simple steps that should improve your chances, if only minorly
What if one is ugly with or without tidyness~~~?
you're always more ugly if you're untidy/unkempt [editline]1st March 2012[/editline] you don't have to be a sparkling pinnacle of tidiness, but showing that you've put at least a bit of effort into your appearance really does count for something
You guys are right, I'm going to tell her how I feel and ask her out on a date.
You see, this is where the fundamental problem lies in your relationship. With your title and avatar you're already dedicated to cats. With that kind of attitude it's no wonder you're pushing your bitch away. Maybe you're the source of the problem in the two of you, and maybe dogs aren't just your thing.
1. tidy up your appearance 2. try not to be so weird and those are just two (reasonably) simple steps that should improve your chances, if only minorly
Problem is most people will try too hard, making it weirder than actually feeling relaxed by being their-selves. Being ourselves gives more results. I speak for myself.
seith i have advice for you "brevity is the soul of wit" -william shakespeare
yep that's why most of my posts look like they could be straight off of twitter
Problem is most people will try too hard, making it weirder than actually feeling relaxed by being their-selves. Being ourselves gives more results. I speak for myself.
you have to find a balance between being normal and being yourself at the end of the day, they really are on the opposite ends of the spectrum
In all honesty, aside from my awesome song. I have found a girl to chase. She's in my philosophy lecture. How to approach? I feel like I'm 10. Sit next to her one day, ask random question about the class, introduce myself. I know she also went to my high school and was a grade ahead of me, but how do I say that without getting weird?
so im curious, i used to lurk this thread, well, it was a section back when i used to lurk, because i had confidence problems and what have you, and those were also the days that mavrick's advice was king. what uhh, happened? [editline]2nd March 2012[/editline]
In all honesty, aside from my awesome song. I have found a girl to chase. She's in my philosophy lecture. How to approach? Maverick was being a prick to a mod or something and got perma'd I heard.
Maverick was being a prick to a mod or something and got perma'd I heard.
oh. well. can't say im surprised.
Also yeah you can use that info as an advantage to start a conversation.

Abide by no rules, but your own. Also, I really liked the song!
One of my friends wants to set me up with one of her friends, for a blind date. I've never done a blind date before. Has anyone ever done one of those before?
Could be a nice shift from normal day to day routine, sure, but I suggest going outside and getting to know other women on your own.
Isn't there supposed to be a March thread by now?
I don't have a girlfriend because I am short ugly and weird. :downs:
Is this like a joke or? Anyway I'm short, like, proper short. Like 5' 3" short, but it's not really a problem. Like Autumn said you need to tidy up your appearance, and also obviously don't go for girls that are way taller than you, it looks weird. And also don't be weird, I'm not sure why people say they're weird as if it's something they can't change, like it's the luck of the draw or something.
seith and 1chains1, minimavericks
Rusty, aren't you 20 now? If so, don't you think you're a bit old to be trying to start arguments in every thread I post in? Either way, whether it be over in the creationism corner or in the chat threads, I am not going to take the time to argue with you. Have a nice day dude.
That was hardly starting an argument.

Alright, there's this girl i like and i'm pretty positive she likes me back. Not long ago we talked about random shit for a long while(well, it wasn't just the two of us, i had some friends with me in the table, but she talked a little more to me than my friends) And back in the summer, she asked if she could take my monkey bike for a spin. Of course, i let her do that. Obviously she had fun since she almost emptied a full tank of gas.. Still more than worth it though. Now, what the fuck do i do next? I really want to make a move, but there's the catch that you guys probably already saw coming from a mile away. I'm too much of a fucking pussy to make that move. It's because a couple of years back, a girl shamelessly led me on just to deliver a flash KO with a "Sorry, but you're not really my type". If i take another hit like that, my self-esteem will be completely fucking devastated. Not many girls have showed me this kind of attention.

If she says no, clearly she's not right for you and you can move on and find someone who is. Not the end of the world mate, that's the first thing you have to accept. I should really listen to my own advice.
Its far better to have a go, get rejected and then move on. You never know if she does like you back then everythings great. Personally I think thats a much better thing to do compared to never doing anything and never finding out.
