Back then I believed in Allah, and it was public knowledge across the school, due to the fact that I wore the robe-like outfit sometimes (It was like wearing PJs). September 11th rolled by, and guess who got the brunt of it? I had my face scraped against a wall, got beat up, called names, and every possible way of torture you can think of.
fucking animals
To all being bullied: relax. Let it wash over you like a river. In 01, I had just started eight grade in a new city. To this day I have a fear of opening a locker. But it's honestly something thats going to roll over, no matter how painful it seems. Ignore it, and if things get too rough, fight back. Let yourself be pushed, but never against a wall.
disgusting
no i mean, what is wrong about the contact your significant other and this other person is having, which leads you to wish they would stop contacting each other?
ooh, well, i'm not in a situation where i want my significant other to stop contact with someone (which i wouldn't do unless the person was dangerous in some way), but i have been quite a few times before (read: all of my relationships), they've always wanted me to stop talking to X just because they're jealous of our interactions, even if it's just strictly platonic (why would i be flirty/let someone flirt with me when i'm already in a relationship anyways?)
I think if I get messed with again, I might just get physical I don't know yet
I think if I get messed with again, I might just get physical I don't know yet
I'm all for bitter retaliations, but this is prolly not the best course of action!
I'm all for bitter retaliations, but this is prolly not the best course of action!
yeah, you're right i was pretty mad when i posted that
So this girl I've had a crush on for a couple months pretty much came out and said "ask me to prom and I'll say yes" so naturally we started talking and texting and such. We hung out a couple days ago and got a bite to eat, visited a pet store, and then went for a walk in the park. We've both flat out said that we really like each other now, but I'm not sure where to go from here. My town is fairly boring and it's still too chilly to do anything besides walk outside (although I scored major points for giving her my coat in the park). Obviously I could take her to a movie, but I'd like to treat her to something a little more "original" than that. Any suggestions for inexpensive, not-overly-romantic dates?
Yea. So, this is for daniel: just ignore them. I tell you this as both a bully and one bullied. From sixth grade to my freshman year, there was an exchange of shit between me and my peers. I'm not going to cushion it: I was an asshole, a bully, and a piece of shit. I would find the people I knew were insecure and verbally kick the shit out of them. It was horrible; I was too good with the psychology, and in actual physical engagements, well, I was bigger than them, so they wouldn't dare that road. But everyone is right: it's the reaction that makes it so fun. When I can call you Harry Potter, and you get pissed, I just won. I win and I feel better about it. And if I can continually piss you off, well, all the better. So Harry Potter, what are you going to do? Shake me to death? No. You are going to turn the other cheek. You are going to say, "Fuck it. Yea, I'm Harry Potter. What of it?" and get back to studies. To rob them of the victory of your anger is the best course of action. And if any of them are bigger, or there are at least two guys in the group, you are fucked if you get physical (plus suspension is a bitch to deal with; I once had to sit in the office of my school for two consecutive school days, horrible). So, just ignore them. Drop it now. Or if you want, talk to your counselor, but drop it. Ignore it. I fully, truly and to every extent regret my past actions. I hate who I was. And no matter how much I have changed since then, it will never be excused; but to all the people who are bullied, and who I've bullied, I am sorry. But none of them are here. Seriously, ignore it, and it's your victory.
alright man i'll see what i can do having glittery shit on my clothes day to day gets kind of annoying, but whatever
It's the vicious cycle of bullying! Get bullied, bully others, others bully. There should be a Disney song about it.
Now that I think about it, I became quite the jaded asshole through high-school after my experiences in primary. You might just be onto something BDA.
Oh getting bullied... I got called a faggot, a queer and all that stuff all the time in school, just because I hang out with my best mate all the time and one of his other mates became jealous. It ended up with me losing my "friends", at that point I realized I shouldn't trust people so naively. From then I just ignored them, as if they weren't there. Sure they called me a faggot for the whole time, but at some point I just didn't care. It even got worse when the teachers noticed this, because they told the whole class how bad bullying is and such, from then on everyone else in class offered me to help me whenever I'm in trouble, but that was really what made me feel weak. But yeah, just ignore them, just do your thing until you graduate, don't let that stop you from anything.
my mom's yelling at my dad because he paid $400 for car repairs that she knew were scheduled for today it's not the fact that he got repairs, it's the fact they cost money what the fuck
sounds like a pretty normal marriage
yeah i know it's just stupid since she's always combing over everything he does to find something to bitch about
My girlfriend cheated on me. Hm.
My girlfriend cheated on me. Hm.
I'm deeply sorry. How long have you two been together?
Two weeks. :v: Speaking of short lengths of time, she told me it happened partly because she was lonely. She saw me less than 12 hours before that. Yep. I'm dropping it like it's hot.
Well, I got me a date for prom. Im not really a social guy but its for the girl mostly, and not me. Should be a fun time. Any advice with mingling with people you may only know by acquaintance?

Self control.

Sucks Johnny, but good thing it happened sooner rather than later. Onto better things! Anyway quick question guys! I'm seeing a girl next week, I was initially thinking just getting lunch somewhere local, but that seems kinda boring tbh, and I would honestly prefer to do something more fun like going into the city and checking out some galleries and whatnot, which would give us something to do besides just chatting. The thing is though, the latter just seems like so much more of a 'date' and might appear a little too forward, but I worry the former would just dry up too quickly and ultimately turn out to be a rather dull date. Thoughts?
i don't think going into the city and seeing galleries is particularly forward.
I don't really how going to galleries and such is "too forward" IMO, it really does give you something to talk about, and if it's a modern art exhibit you guys can both laugh and giggle about how much the artist bullshits :v: [editline]8th April 2012[/editline]
i don't think going into the city and seeing galleries is particularly forward.
That actually sounds like quite a lovely change from the regular "bump and grind" college kids here engage in.
or or or if it's a modern art exhibit you guys can both have a culturally enriching experience!
or or or if it's a modern art exhibit you guys can both have a culturally enriching experience!
By that you mean point at the splashed-on canvas and giggle, right? v:v:v
shh quiet you philistine hah i haven't used that word in its proper context for a long time.
It's just that it's like a ~45 minute bus trip so it's quite the commitment, but yeah I think ultimately it'll be much more fun and worth the time. And the Museum of Contemporary Art was at the top of my list! I haven't been there in over half a year so it'll be a good excuse as well to go take another look. Ty guys.
holy crap so I've read through my last half-dozen forum-wide posts and have come to the conclusion that I could probably go to bed. Night! [editline]8th April 2012[/editline] De nada
