He's well behind the swerving dumbfuck in front of him and can stay in his lane quite easily. Besides, a camera is pointed towards what your eye sees, so no harm done. Worst comes to worst he has one hand on the wheel, who hasn't done that before? e: Wow camera guy is a good driver. While not looking at the road he still manages to perfectly pull on to the shoulder. :v:
My guess it that he's a routined driver, unlike the teenager texting. He probably should've kept a little more distance to the 'tard sms'ing but otherwise he's driving exactly like one should.
It might be a fucking flip cam guys, you can hold the wheel with both hands and press the camera against the steering wheel. He clearly did that from time to time as you can see camera turning when he makes a turn. Also you have to be drunk, old, asian woman to drive that bad. [sp]i only combined all the bad driver stereotypes, i do not actually agree with that.[/sp]
This is drunk driving, not texting. And good job filming while driving, that's an amazingly responsible thing to do behind the wheel. If you're gonna be a crack civilian investigator, how about actually filming what you're accusing the driver of...him texting.
Congratulations on copy and pasting a comment straight from Youtube.
I'm glad he crashed or he would have never learned his lesson. Too bad he crashed into someone else though.
Had a similar situation a few months back, guy in front was swerving and running off the road - there was no shoulder, just grass. We reported it to the police and went on our way
Plot twist: The car was actually driving itself.
"brb just crashed my car lol XD"
to some people missing a text message is more important than risking your life
wow he's awful i text and drive all the time with little to no casualties
I don't believe he'd be swerving that much just from texting, I wouldn't be surprised if he was on something...
Its said that texting and driving makes you drive as safely as when you are completely hammered. Edit: Apparently that was mentioned already. But yeah, no reason to believe you need to be also drunk to drive like this when focusing on your cellphone instead of the road.
Anyone that texts or puts on makeup should lose their license for a while. Not only could they kill themselves, they can kill other drivers.
Holy shit, if that could have ended up so much worse
I don't think it's any better that he's filming while driving.
I know many of you disagree with me. I text and drive but I have never been that bad. I never swerve that bad. That guy is overreacting just a little too much to be saying stuff like that. Don't freak out, only makes things worse.
Yeah man he ONLY hit another car Maybe we shouldn't care until he commits mass genocide [editline]30th May 2011[/editline]
I don't think it's any better that he's filming while driving.
Filming something while driving isn't the same thing as texting while driving Mainly because you can still pay attention to the road while doing it
Not just texting, if he was texting he would have got the hint to stop after swerving off the road the first time, or almost hitting the car the first time, he wouldn't of almost hit a car, then be like fuck, and started texting again.
I don't think it's any better that he's filming while driving.
So you're saying it's okay or, what's your point? Because all he had to do was hold the camera up and look at the road.
You'll get a ticket here for multi tasking in the car. Both hands have to be on the wheel most of the time. The guy filming would also get a ticket, but they might excuse him and warn him because he's helping the police out quite a bit by filming.
I don't think it's any better that he's filming while driving.
It's not hard to hold a camera steady with one hand and drive. Hell, he's still looking at the road and concentrating on driving as opposed to looking down at a cellphone and focused on composing messages. The worst thing that he is doing is driving with one hand, and fuck that's not even a problem.
I do get a laugh from his sudden change in tone, "Now he's on the shoulder again... :geno: Now he'-OHSHIT!!!! :supaburn:".
The person with the camera is focused on the road and the driver in front of him. Now it's not too bad as long as he doesn't focus all his attention on the driver in front (ie be alert of what's around you at all times). That kid should have his lisence taken away for a very long time.
oh look at the little media critics going against the grain in this thread saying the camera guy is at fault for filming while driving, while in front of him, texting, ends up getting into an(thankfully not too serious) accident. and at the end of the video, he puts text right on the screen, a message to not text and drive. yep. what an asshole
What a fucking retard.
I feel bad for the people this kid hit. He could have killed someone.
Is using a phone while driving illegal in the US?
No shit it's illegal. Some people can talk on their phone and drive because they're paying attention to the road. Texting however is completely different as you're focusing on your phone's screen instead of the road ahead of you and the position of your car. I know for a fact that it's dangerous to text while driving because if I'm texting while walking I lose my place and end up like 10 inches away from the path I was originally on.
He's probably sexting.
He WAS SEXTING
Well if he was reacting like this... ... then I'm not surprised he was swerving.
:wtc:
Well if he was reacting like this... ... then I'm not surprised he was swerving.
That video just turned wrong around 2:33
I know many of you disagree with me. I text and drive but I have never been that bad. I never swerve that bad. That guy is overreacting just a little too much to be saying stuff like that. Don't freak out, only makes things worse.
Hopefully you'll think back on this once you've killed an innocent pedestrian or driver and you're stuck in a cell.
That video just turned wrong around 2:33
I think it turned right around 2:33
I know many of you disagree with me. I text and drive but I have never been that bad. I never swerve that bad. Don't freak out, only makes things worse.
You people are the scum of the roads, just because its never happened to you does not mean it's ok. Oh look I'm driving while on the fucking mobile with one hand blocking a section of my line of view or I have my head retardly tilted, oh I'm never going to crash if something sudden happens, I can swerve out of the way perfectly! Oh look I'm texting while driving, let me just look down at my mobile for a few secon-
