The picture isn't that great, from a technical standpoint, it had some slight motion blur and was taken handheld in low light, from a moving vehicle, but I like what I've done to it. I would like this photo a lot more if debris in the middle of the puddle hadn't blurred it. Reflection by John Gramza, on Flickr Any Thoughts?
Unfortunately it's just not a very interesting subject. Try to find something that literally sticks out to you, that physically calls out to you. The next biggest step is finding the perfect angle. If you can't find any perspective that makes the subject stand out without any distracting background items (other trees' branches, in your picture's case), the picture may not be worth uploading. Another thing to keep in check at all times is your composition. This picture seems kind of confused, undefined. Try to isolate the subject and be sure to include all of it. Also yeah that debris is a pretty big issue. [editline]12th January 2012[/editline] Just noticed it's a reflection. Still applies kinda, one thing to consider might have been getting edges of the puddle in frame, to put the idea of a reflection into better perspective. It's one thing to tell us that it's a reflection, it's another to show us. [editline]12th January 2012[/editline] /powertrip

Yeah. But does the blurryness make the pic all together bad? What do you guys think about it. (I checked the raw file too, the pic seemed to be more in focus on the curtains)
I think the AF picked up on some specs/reflections on the glass.
What do you guys think about it.
In my opinion, it seems a bit of a boring picture, it's very 'front and center', and you don't look quite comfortable. The table umbrella stick coming out of the left of your head is a tad distracting too. I like the curtains framing the window idea, but I think if you were to back up a bit (keeping that same focus on the glass) it would blur you out in an interesting way - combine that with an interesting pose and I think it could make for something nice. Sorry if that came out a bit harsh, just my $0.02.

well, on the other hand.. i think the blur is a nice touch :)
It's quite overdone, a subtle blur would have been much more effective... the blur caught my attention before the paraglider. Which is exactly the opposite of what I assume the effect was intended for.
