A few from my urbex trip to a factory. The factory was kinda a bust, but I got a few cool photos of my friends.

Portsmouth Harbour!
Love the colours, especially in the first one. I like the little dashes of pastel green in on the boat windows and on the left.
Was just checking out the old thread
as a reply to Kirby about my dog photo:
The way I get my colors is sort of uhm. How do I explain it.
I like to up the vibrance a lot rather than using the saturation bar. Then I make sure to make everything contrast a little bit, so I like to give a rather harsh contrast in my photos compared to other people (I like to make an S curve in my curves). Putting a subtle vignette always helps in my opinion and so does brightening up the photo. A lot of the times I just look at the photo whilst I move bars and settle on what feels right, but keeping the shadows and darks dark, and the highlights and lights bright usually gives me good colors.
what's a good model of flash compatible with the Nikon D5100? It's a budget brand beginning with 'Y', I forget the name, but I've heard it's good for beginners
from earlier today

Just save some money, buy a nikon sb-700 and thank me later for helping you not waste your money.
pretty sure you're thinking about Yongnuo, but from what I've read they're mainly used as slaves, not the main flash
Ah yeah Yonguo is the one I had heard of, I was planning to buy one of their ones as a birthday present for a friend who's been looking at them and is thinking of getting one - is it a bad idea?
If it's a gift for a friend, go for it. I'd love if someone gave me one even if it's not as good as the name brand. If it was for yourself however I'd probably just wait and save for the nikon.

Alright thanks,
Should I get the 460 or the 560? The 460 is £40, 560 is £52 which is pushing it a bit but I'll get it if it's worth the extra
I went to NYC a few days ago with some friends and got a couple good shots I think

Guys, I found a fix for the colors getting screwed in some browsers, a fix that can be done in Photoshop so that everyone sees the correct colors (well, depending on their monitor, they won't, but at least all the browsers will display it similarly)

Unsure if you need to do this for all photos, if so just make an action.
Test shot example: (you might not see a difference, depending on your browser)

Open them in two new tabs and switch between them.
oh wow, that's a pretty big difference
i like it
Why is it so much different? Should I be doing this?
Could anyone give me some tips about editing photographs in Photoshop? I've tried some generic tutorials but I didn't find anything I like to make them look .. "professional". You know what I mean?
Here's some random pictures i've taken (no effects or anything). Yeah I don't really know what I'm doing and don't really plan on doing anything with photography as a job or anything like that, I just like it.
Think I found the solution to the Firefox Colour Space Issues.
Since Firefox Dosen't support the AdobeRGB, the Colour Space you should use If you want to do any Post Processing.
To configure FireFox for color profiles:
Type about:config in the address bar.
Click the I'll be careful button.
Type color_management in the filter field.
double click the gfx.color_management.enabled field to set it to true.
Your browser will now display color profiles correctly.
Note: View the site with fire fox color management off then view http://www.gballard.net/psd/srgbforwww.html# again with color management on.
Looks like it's out of a Zombie film, love it
There is almost no point using Adobe RGB over sRGB. Especially for web. http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/adobe-rgb.htm
Just shoot and process in sRGB and you won't have any problems, and neither will 99% of the people who view your content.

or any tips in general to increase the crispness/clarity of my images?

You should, but maybe not right at this moment though, since you might ruin your camera...
Its kinda rainy isn't it? :v:
But yeah I'm certainly going downtown soon, I was down there on the 30th for a concert and damn I didn't bring my camera, felt bad man.
