Something interests you, otherwise you wouldn't be taking pictures, right? Don't look so hard for style, just take pictures you like.
I guess, I just like being able to capture the things I see with relative ease, a lot of my art teachers and family say I have a good eye for composition, but I don't know. I've been pretty down on myself lately too, photography helps me get away from it, I guess. I need to get out more. But thanks Bopie, receiving a direct reply from you help to my overall self esteem, now I must go tend to my facebook, my newest images stirred the hive of people amazed with my oldest photos. 1.75 years ago. :v:

I did one back in early December, used a layering program, but I only had a class 4 SD card, hence the broken trails.

If I were to take a guess, you're going to need a tripod, and a pretty decent camera. I'd set the camera to maybe an iso of 100 or 200, perhaps an f/16 - 22, maybe higher, and you need to use your bulb setting, or a timed exposure, not sure how much time? I believe the trails are left because of the stars moving through the sky as the Earth is rotating on it's axis.
So do you just leave the camera outside with like.. sticky tape or something.. over the shutter button..? on bulb setting
If you have a O.K DSLR, take a whole bunch of 30 sec max apature exposure photos(~300 is a good amount) Using interval mode.
Then use a program to layer them.
If you guys really want I could make a tutorial tread.

I think a shutter release cable would also suffice, if you have one.

300 30 seconds photos would be 2.5 hours.
Try 50 or so for your first go, so you don't waste that time.

Can I get some criticism on this please!
And while I'm here, I just want to say everyone's photos are so good!
So do you just leave the camera outside with like.. sticky tape or something.. over the shutter button..? on bulb setting
Here, you need a shutter trigger that you can set to take x amount of photos with x seconds or minutes of exposure.
I managed to pick one up dirt cheap from 7DayShop

were they not disappointed
i mean taking photos at a gig just sucks the fun out of it
and it's not like the photos were exceptional, they were motion blurred and underexposed.
to support the band you dingus!
he supported them, by taking their picture.
