Browsing facepunch on my Itouch is okay, but a mobile app/theme would be nice.

Well, there's no such thing as a 'bad grammar' rating, so it works as a stand-in.
I rated boxes, I mean there's no need for a Facepunch app. It works fine on mobile browsers.
I have an iPod Touch and I just bookmark it to home. Makes a nice icon if you size it right and there you go.

I was thinking of doing that too, Even though Facepunch works perfectly on my galaxy s vibrant except IT doent log me in,.
The app I guess is just like how theirs Facebook App, Etc.
I know it works fine, But a optimized app/www.m. could increase the speed and better navigation.
Making a app for the iPhone is not hard, not hard at all.
Downside is that you need the Apple SDK, that is €99 a year.
Its pretty fair if you make lots of apps/Have a nice app idea that could be a hit.

And you need a Mac, Windows cannot run SDK

fp works fine on android
i have a qvga android and it still works perfectly (just take out ratings) on opera, the normal browser, and dolphin HD

TapaTalk > Browsing on a phone. Seriously, you do not need to scroll left/right, no annoying shit like margin to left/right on the page etc which waste space on the small screen. My Desire "only" has 800x480 pixel and that's somehow OK for browsing most sites. But on TapaTalk it's even better. But now, what about those mobiles with much smaller screens? They are literally lost and the user have to scroll all the time.
Not to forget, that e.g. TapaTalk is much faster than rendering a website.

I agree. A special App for FP is not needed to be coded. But since solutions already exist (e.g. TapaTalk) which are free to add to the forum (the forum-plugin for vBulleting and others is with no charge), it might be cool for those who already have TapaTalk.

Why such stupid crap like WAP (which needs you to build a totally new design to be displayed properly) when you just can install a TapaTalk module (10 minutes of work) to vBulletin?
How about you just browse this site with your perfectly fine webbrowser. Facepunch works fine on iphones and androids mobiles and there's nothing wrong with it. We don't need an app or a plugin to make your life easier, as if it's not easy enough already.

No, I do not get paid for saying this.
I mention it because it's the only alternative I know to work on iPhone OS, Android, Symbian and soon Black Berry OS (and is already finished - No coding has to be done!). It is also free of charge for "Read Only", the forum plugin doesn't cost anything and therefore should be added [b]as alternative[/b] for normal "webbrowsing" FP for those, who already own this App or are willing to pay for it (I bought it. Easiert surfing.)
And yes, horizontal scrolling is a pain. That's why I suggest TapaTalk.

I honestly don't get what the huge problem about adding that tapatalk thing is. It'd take 10 minutes and would be a lot easier for many people to browse on our phones. Sure, it's easy to browse already but there's no harm in making it easier if it only costs 10 minutes of your time.

You don't get the point.
It shall be added [b]as alternative[/b] (not as requirement). How can people be so ignorant? If you don't like it, simply stay with your mobile browser and enjoy your horizontal scrolling and wasted space by margins everywhere (because it was optimized for a PC obviously).
I like to browse a forum with e.g. TapaTalk which blends out every crap and just shows me the pure posts. Easier to read, no horizontal scrolling. Easier to reply or edit a post.

That's what I'm saying. I already bought that cheap app for others boards I'm browsing on my mobile and they added it because it does not cost them anything (the board plugin).
FP looks good enough on mobile.
Android = looks good.
iPhone OS = looks good.
Blackberry = dosen't look horrible, but not the best.

That's not a reason against an app, which supports fp.
I'll talk to garry about installing tapatalk.
vBulletin has a mobile skin planned for 4.1 and then I'll modify it.
I think Facepunch works like a charm on my iphone
