Yeah, we have to post our wank schedules so we don't interfere when we visit each other.
I wish I was joking.
Seriously, though. FB's the only way to stay up to date and in contact with people where I live. If I didn't have one, I quite honestly would never have a clue what's going on around me.
Plus, I can fap to all the pictures hot girls put up. :smug:
I'm not on Facebook. And? :colbert:
I have a Facebook but feel like deleting/abandoning it. It can be useful for communication, but it's just so much bullshit that makes me want to stop using it.
I don't give a shit about your song lyrics, I don't care about a 20 second video clip of your friend acting stupid, I don't care about your inside jokes. Not that these are directed towards me, but it's just stupid to spend my time reading through these pointless things.
People act differently on there too. Some of people who I thought were realistic, down to earth people taaaaalkk like thiiss </3
Facebook is only good for photo-sharing and event creating. I prefer real world interaction to anything that normal facebook users engage in.

...And, chances are your group just doesn't need it to stay in touch - that, or you don't even have a group and you're socially awkward + ugly.
sry that's just how it is nowadays.
Think you're edgy and cool for not having a facebook? Guess what you're not. Get off your high horse bro
Think you're better than everyone that hasn't got one? Get off your high horse bro.
I am so sad about my friend from Greece not wanting to use Facebook. :(
But i am also very happy that i have really good people on facebook too. I don't see them often so we organize events like going to the cinema or whatever.
Facebook as as good or as bad as you make it. Resist farmville. Resist 100s of "friends".
Agreed with OP.
I don't have one because I don't want another thing to keep track of. My friends know how to contact me if they want to.
Well the article doesn't really make a compelling point with the 'everyone else is doing it' argument.
I do agree that it's a great networking tool though, in moderation.
This man speaks the truth
I have a Facebook account, I just don't ever use it because I have Steam for that.
so according to facepunch: you don't have a facebook = you are antisocial and have no friends because your means of keeping in touch with real life people don't include the internet.
I grew up under the notion that anonymity was what made the internet amazing. Universal equality based entirely on how you present yourself in text format.
So no. Facebook can blow me.

There are many exceptions, like I stated.
I use it to keep in touch with people, get reminders for certain things, set up times to just chill with friends and keep in touch with friends who moved away or I don't see as often as I would like to.
Facebook is good but I wish they could make it even more convenient to stay in touch with friends. They should make this tool where everyone has this number and like you can just put this number into it and you can talk to the person directly. You could hear the persons voice and everything, it be amazing.
Then again, with today's society people are too anti social to actually talk to each other rather then leave texts. It maybe to confrontational for them to actually talk to another human being face to face. Guess this technology is just too ahead of its time.
I don't use Facebook because I don't have any friends.
Dude I'd add you. I have < 50 because I deleted all of the people who I wouldn't/couldn't hold a conversation with.
Fuck this article telling me what to do. I'm a rebel, fuck you! I don't want to use a social website so I must be anti-social because the majority of it is filled with retarded idiots that can't spell for shit.
The website is only filled with the people you choose to accept as friends. Up to you if you like to be friends with "retarded idiots that can't spell for shit", though.

This coming from the furry - further proving my point.

I made one to keep the assholes in my year happy and after that I never touched it again
I'm on Facebook too much and post statuses a lot. I actually need to stay away from it for a while.
I like facebook, it's a great way for me to share the things I enjoy with my friends.
I find Facebook really useful when planning things, seeing what other people are up to and talking to friends. I'd find it hard to live without as I hate using phones.
Lol, the author of the article in the OP can fuck off.
I don't use Facebook for the plain and simple fact that I just don't need it - anyone I know that I could get into touch with would already be reachable by phone or e-mail. Sure, using a more open medium like Facebook might help when organizing certain events and stuff like that, but anything that's actually important enough for me to attend to would've been broadcasted through other means already.

Also, i joined facebook in 2006 when nobody even knew what it was. I deactivated my facebook account about 10 months ago and never looked back. One of the best decisions of my life.

Biggest thing is that they keep shooting themselves with privacy issues. That is enough from keeping me from going there and unblocking it.
Cant take article seriously because they used a Hitler analogy.
I've got it but am not addicted to it. I can't understand people who are.
