I have to open a bank account with a different bank to reduce the fee as much as possible. Even then it's still expensive. I wish my credit limit on my credit card wasn't so ridiculously high because then I could have applied for a zero international transaction card. Banks are dumbe.

I'll do it again any way for discussion sake: My current card has a minimum and maximum aggregated fee (combination of poor exchange rate, international fees and atm fees) of between 8.3% and 17.3% (for a direct purchase and $100 atm withdrawal from a non-network atm respectively). My bank's travel card has a minimum of 5.3% and a max of 13.8% on the same conditions. This is of the total purchase or withdrawal price. The credit card has between 0% and 6.5% and that can go down to 4.5% if I just use network atms. The same roughly for my bank account I just applied for with a linked visa card. The difference between 4.5% and 8.3% saves me $400 assuming I spend all my money.
