My best friend is an arab.
Help.
Nah, just got bit of Turkish blood in me, that's all. My dad's from Turkey.
My mother has been incredibly annoying since I quit my job. She's been job searching for herself but literally any job that involves the words "computers, video games" makes her want to show it to me after I'VE BEEN INCREDIBLY CLEAR that I will find a job when I'm ready. Like no fucking joke she came to my room at 11PM when I was trying to sleep showing me a job opening for another tech support related job at LITERALLY THE SAME PLACE I WORKED AT before.
Like this has happened at least 5 times already. She shows me a job that's usually bullshit (comparable to those "google pays me $335 an hour!" Ads) and I tell her politely to stop bugging me about it.
I know she's trying to help but this it what it does to me
1. Makes me feel guilty about not having a job / quitting a job.
2. Makes me feel pressured because this is telling me that she wants me to have a job now.

I don't understand how this is funny.
Actually I don't understand why toy_soldier rates literally every depressing post funny
So this incredibly hot guy was flirting with me at Lowes while I was buying lightbulbs and then after about 10 minutes he told me he was straight and I asked him why he was flirting with me and he said, "I like to laugh at you fags," and then he walked away.

So a little bit of blogpunching right now but I need to tell someone. My mom is going in for extremely risky back surgery to try to correct two new herniated disks caused by her previous corrective surgery that was supposed to correct the one herniated disk, two slipped disks, and one shattered disk that she's been struggling with since she was T-boned in her tiny Porsche by a drunk driver in a pickup truck in the 90's. The first surgery, about two years ago, was a vast improvement, but she's been degrading since then and it's been getting much worse these past few months. So she got a checkup and found out there's two new herniated disks. So on Thursday she's going in and if it works she'll be bedridden for 3 weeks. She's really the glue that holds this household together, and I'm not sure how my dad and I are going to be able to take care of her, and work, especially my dad who is desperately working to try to keep his company afloat, pretty much all day. And I need to work in order to keep affording my car. But Mom will need constant help as well. So today she started freaking out about it and now I'm starting to freak out as well.
Between being dumped by text the other week, this jerk torturing me earlier today, and my mom's upcoming surgery, I'm just a wreck right now. Of all the times I really could have used a supportive boyfriend, this is probably the worst time to be just having lost one.

Not going to lie but if you're just bumming around and i was your mum, i'd be pestering you to get a job too.
Even if you have money saved up, that will soon go and you'll be sponging off of family.
At least thats just all assumption.
I don't know if you have a lot of money or your situation but you made it sound like you're just bumming around not doing anything.

Maybe he rated you funny because you sound like squidward.

I rated you funny because I could relate and it reminded me of life before I joined the service, and it made me laugh.
Yeah sometimes the funny rating is difficult because I want it to be clear that I am laughing with and not at and I dunno if it always comes across that way.
i like watermelon
Watermelons are the best. Especially honeydews. Eating them with parma ham is <3

It's been too long since I had honeydews and parma ham together. Now I have to wait until next summer :suicide:

Ok that's horseshit and you know it. idk and idc when you joined the service but you did this on a fuckton of your alt accounts too, it's just really annoying
Dude, calm down. It's just a rating.

What? I mean your mom doing that sounds like the spongebob episode where squidward lost his job and spongebob is just sneaking job listing severywhere
I thought you didn't cared about ratings.
Dude, calm down. It's just a rating.
I'm more than aware of that but imo it's more than that.
Idk I feel incredibly creeped out when someone continuously does this kind of shit.
All you have to do is turn them off. Problem solved. Outta sight, outta mind.
I thought you didn't cared about ratings.
I normally don't.
Idk when someone gets permabanned, spams your posts with ratings on another account, gets permabanned, spams your posts with ratings with another account it's just REALLY CREEPY
how do i eat 2.5 lbs of sliced ham by myself??
no one in this house eats ham sandwiches but me but for some reason we have a buttload of ham and pickles. we have an entire shelf dedicated to fucking pickles in the fridge.
help.
All you have to do is turn them off. Problem solved. Outta sight, outta mind.
I'm not turning of ratings because of this
If this is how people are gonna react to ratings all the time, I don't see why we still have them in the first place. It's such an exploitable system and turns everyone against eachother. It accomplishes nothing but getting people angry. Why do people NEED to see what they've been rated? And as such, why should they care. It's one thing to rate, it's another thing to actually communicate an idea.

I wouldn't really say that they are troublemakers. Rating a post agree saves the trouble of writing an reply with saying "I agree to that". Ratings is IMO something that made fp unique for me.

prevents posts like "I agree" or "lol"
It's a pretty good system idk what you're on about
[editline]a[/editline]
And I wouldn't call this a reaction to ratings, it's way more than that.
Ratings work for threads so in shit like the videos section you can see which thread is worth it and which one is just some kid posting his trashing kill Montage on call of Duty ghosts. For ratings it's pretty fucking useless
This is true. I'm more miffed at the fact that people make such a fuss about it in a thread instead of a personal PM or something. If being rated something really makes you that mad, discuss it in private with a mod or the person who did it, not a thread.
But mooooom someone rated me dumb
This is true. I'm more miffed at the fact that people make such a fuss about it in a thread instead of a personal PM or something. If being rated something really makes you that mad, I'd rather the thread not be clogged up about it.
that literally does nothing I've done it before lmao
that literally does nothing I've done it before lmao
So it's better to complain in a thread that more than likely would rather not hear it?
So it's better to complain in a thread that more than likely would rather not hear it?
Literally what else am I supposed to do lmao. I'm really tired of it, it's been going on for literally an entire year. It's not like it's the first time someone posted something like this.
